you mean to tell me a guy who dresses like vergil doesn't think he's the most important person in the room?

Could easily fool anyone into believing this channel has over 1 million subscribers, with the amazing editing and script
Strongly agree
his subs was cut off and when I saw 5.83 I thought it was gonna say million not thousand and I was like "yeah that makes sense"
Tru
No shit, I thought this channel had 100k+ subscribers until I saw your comment and looked at the count.
Yup.
The story to the DMC series is about a family trying to get over trauma.
I'm going to eat you like a baguette
The story of Metal Gear Rising Revengance is about a man traveling across the country with his dog. The story of Bayonetta is about a woman discovering herself. The story of Ninja Gaiden is about an agent who doesn’t know what an L is
@@notproductiveproductions3504 your description is accurate sir young man boy, I love you btw
Everything sounds epic on paper, except execution is just terrible, afterall, the fantasy service and combat system are the only reason people play these games for
And most importantly, LOOK GOOD DOING IT
Yo this. This is some good stuff. Give me more of this. You do a good job.
The official mr huggbees seal of approval. I would be super proud.
you have a weird ability to appear in the comment section of every second good video essay
Honestly, that scene of Dante standing up through Alastor always makes me feel uncomfortable because it makes me think about that sword, including the hilt, going through Dante's spine
Their bodies contort to create their Devil Trigger forms, to him it was nothing. He's used to literally rewriting his anatomy when needed.
I’m uncomfortable trying to figure the logistics of how Dante is supposed to work, I’m ending it at somehow holding different laws of psychics. The amount of energy needed to do those transformations would need nuclear levels of energy he’s not getting from pizza and those blob enemies. How does he shrink down to a smaller state? Is he extremely dense inside when human?
@@Journey_Awaits magic.
@@Journey_Awaits motivation
@Journey Awaits It's Devil Magic. No physics required since he can generate that energy from nowhere. Alternatively, one could suppose that Dante uses the Red Orbs as a source of energy, but there's little evidence for this.
One of my favorite things about this series is how Itsuno understood that even in the games we hated there were little nuggets of goodness that should be celebrated.
For Real It's amazing how much DMC: Devil May Cry's Vergil influenced DMC4SE's Vergil. From the extended Yamato combos, teleporting summoned swords and the most amazing addition: Just Frame Judgment Cuts. It fits Vergil so much that you would be forgiven if you forgot that DMC3 doesn't have it.
@@magicno2 so if DMC3 already have it....... what does 4SE Vergil take from DmC bruh?.... nice way to kill your own argument in the same text.
@@FredMaverik What are you on about? DMC3 Vergil doesn't have those things I mentioned. That's what I'm trying to say. Those moves are so natural on Vergil that it feels like DMC3 Vergil also has those moves, but he doesn't. It's amazing when game developers extend a moveset that fully serves to expand their characterization.
@@FredMaverik he said DMC3 Vergil didn't have it, read man...
I remember seeing DMC5's first trailer, and immediately gaining interest in the game. Unfortunately my mind was only used to mushou games and got my ass kicked in the demo and didnt picked it up for a while. Now 4 years later I finished 5, am saving up for the collection and 4, and am a certified Vergil fangirl. Seeing how other people grew up with a franchise I now love that's about as old as myself is really wonderful thing. Also thanks for the long form DMC content that's like crack cocaine for me
God I grew up with 4 and it was awesome, not so cool that it took them until I was almost an adult to realease 5 but hey at least it was gold
As a DMC vet, I feel like you truly GOT the series. The story is arguably not be the most important element, but it's still an integral part that has meaningfully added to the experience and is a big part of why so many love it.
You've actually helped me realize something. In a very key way, Devil May Cry has A LOT in common with the Yakuza series--most especially Yakuza 0! An argument often made and that I agree with is that the wacky, over the top, larger than life nature of Yakuza is precisely what allows it to be a sincere, heartfelt, *human* story. I've realized it's practically the very same with Devil May Cry: its over-the-top, larger than life, *crazy* energy is the very thing that enables it to come across as sincere when it means to. You spend more than plenty of time riding the highs. You participate in the wackiest shenanigans, have some laughs, and engage in some of the coolest combat you'll ever experience. It really lets you bond with the characters. So much so that when things take a dark turn, when things spiral out of the heroes' hands and hit their lowest, heart-wrenching moments, you're right there with them, and you really *feel* it.
You do such an amazing job picking apart the essence of the games you cover, from both the standpoint of the developers and the players. This video is a work of art and I hope it gets to the audience it deserves. Thank you for making this. (Also the start of the DMC 4 section had me rolling lmao)
I’m 32 and love DMC. Since I was little. You depicted every feeling so perfectly man. Bless you for this video 🙏🏾
Playing the games is only a scratch in the surface. A not very known part of Dante's past can be discovered by reading the Devil May Cry novel.
I like how Itsuno said... "DMC IS BACK!" and immediately after that left to work on Dragon's Dogma 2.
This video is long but it is absolutely overflowing with passion! The transitions and the locations are fantastic! Hope this blows up because you 1000% deserve it!
Gotta say the effort put into the editing is impressive, so few people would put the same level of care into a video throughout the entire duration. 👏 Keep it up my guy:))
I'm absolutely floored. A video this well-edited, shot, and written deserves way more views and subs. Fantastic work. You just earned a like and subscriber man.
You are slowly becoming one of my favorite youtubers. The effort that you put into these videos, man. The editing, the writing, the settings. You're videos are awesome and you deserve WAY more subs than you have. However, I believe if you keep up this work ou'll be there in no time!!! Big fan.
This is finally the content I’ve been looking for, not overly cynical or comedic but truly genuine. Something this series deserves
"I don't know anything about design" - creates one of the most beautifully layed out and edited videos ever :D
Incredibly well-edited and absolutely genuine. DMC has been my favorite series since childhood and I could NOT stop smiling through this whole video. You get it, even if it's new to you.
This is honestly one of the best gaming essay videos I’ve seen in a long time. Everything came together perfectly. Your talent is insane. I suspect this channel is probably going to blow up in a really major way. If and when it does, it will be very deserved. I can’t wait to see more from you. Thank you for the awesome video.
Great work as always, the matches bit was particularly hilarious 😄 This was always a franchise I enjoyed from afar despite never playing (grew up in a religious household, no way a game with devil in the title was going to be allowed). I actually ended up playing DmC first when it came out and never really understood the hate because I enjoyed it. It wasn't until I finally played through the original series when the fifth one came out that I could understand why DmC might be upsetting to fans of the originals. I like to think it wouldn't get as much hate if it was made as a Devil May Cry clone instead of a reboot.
Literally my story meeting with DMC series. I enjoyed DmC, I was like "wow, this is really sick" until I reached to the original series. But still I think that DmC is decent if you try to ignore the fact that it's connected to the DMC series.
Definitely agree with you there. DmC WAS a good hack n slash gane, just not a good Devil May Cry. I hold the same oppinion for both recent God of War games.
I'm having the same situation as you
As a fan of the original series, I was also skeptical of the reboot at the time because the trailers showed a Dante that was impossibly different. Most people were just upset that they changed his appearance and (more so) character. But I think everyone has more or less reached the consensus that it was a good game. The combat was fantastic and the set pieces were up to par. Dante at the end even becomes likeable. It's just a shame to lots of fans that they 'reinvented' Dante as drastically as they did. But glad to know people are still enjoying all sides of the series!
You got yourself a subscriber, fantastic editing from beginning to end, consistent. It is also very comforting, knowing someone at the age of 29 doing creative work and trying to make it. Keep it up, Tim. You'll hit the jackpot, soon.
Love the video style and the intro, very captivating man!
I've started watching this yesterday and made sure to share it with others. I can't believe your videos are just out here with so few people knowing about them!
Absolutely incredible video, I'm so excited to see where you go from here and see what else you've made.
You're videos have such great quality! Good job man!
Alright, you outdid yourself here. This was perfect. Every frame, every transition, every little detail fit the tone of the subject perfectly. Amazing work on every graphic, they fit so well with how you presented it. I had to keep pausing my game to watch instead of just listen. The tie-in to the beginning at the end is exactly what was needed.
This is such high quality work that I'm surprised that this channel isn't bigger! The storytelling in this video hooked me so well that when I finished the video, I couldn't tell that I watched an hour long video.
This video was actually amazing. Everything from the script, analyzing, and the beautiful godamn editing. Great video man
i LOVE the editing on this
amazing work as usual, sir, watched the whole thing in one sitting! 👏
Your videos never fail to amaze me. I am finally back in a position where I'm able to start working on my own creative projects after almost a year, and your uploads always provide me with the inspiration I need. Genuinely incredible stuff man, keep it up!
You got yourself a new subscriber man! The editing is crazy! You gotta be big in no time man!
it is a crime i have not discovered this channel sooner, phenomenal writing and editing!
'Oh, they weren't talking about video games, they were smoking We-" I'm fuckin dead Rofl
U deserve a whole lot of subs man ...good job, honestly proud of your video making skills
Video was amazing, editing was top tier, points were well thought out, and I can't wait to see your channel grow.
dope production man the presentation is awesome would love to see more of these
You sir have earned a sub. Good job on the editing and script of this video.
got recommended this vid a day or two ago and was pleasantly surprised by how well made it was. definitely appreciated this as someone who enjoys dmc but doesnt rlly play the games. keep it up!!
Never seen your videos before and this popped up in my recommended and I watched the whole thing, incredibly well edited! I thought you were gonna hate on DMC or something at first haha. I also recently played all the DMC games for the first time, so happy I had my best friend introduce me to a genre I never really knew and now I find myself looking for more! Great video :)
What amazingly lovely and stylish production, SUBSCRIBED! :D 🎉❤
Daaaam home slice, this quality at hand is nigh unseen nowadays. Excellent job +1sub ;)
I love the level of passion that was channeled for this video, hope you get traction cause this was some quality content
Man, I've watched easily one of the bests video essays in terms of quality and scripting, only to realize this channel has NOT over a million subs? Bro, this deserves a TON more of attention
This is a top quality video with the script and everything about this is well made. This channel should have a million subscribers immediately.
This was a pretty fantastic video, glad to see someone get so into the series even if they didn’t love the gameplay as much a lot of us did. The editing and way you conveyed the experience and story was amazing, and the jokes were on point. Also I want to put out there that 4 is great for new players like you said, but deep within it is also buried a game that was so advanced that it basically kept the series alive for 11 years until 5 came out and even now has some tricks up its sleeve all its own. The hardcore DMC players love it so it’s definitely very cool to hear a more casual player take to it so much as well, most today just go ‘it’s good but it’s only half a game’. Anyway, great video!
Man, thank you for your work on this video! Totally liked it!
The editing and content is insane well done
So glad my friend sent me this channel. Great vids
👏👏👏 My guy, what a well edited, well done camera work & awesome script talking about the history (and your opinion) on a game. I'm honestly amazed you put in all this work, I hope you continue receiving the attention & views this channel deserves. Best of luck in your future endeavors and never lose that passion for film making. ❤💪🏽
Amazing work. I know DMC story as well as anyone else who've been following it since DMC3 yet still watched the whole video with great interest. A lot of effort put in it (narrative, editing, script...) and it feels. PS Even before E3 Trailer voice actors on some press conference almost gave it away, that they work on DMC5.
Liking, commenting, subscribed. Great video presentation, thank you for talking about my favorite game series.
This editing is just 💜
God it's CRIMINAL you don't have more subs. Keep up the amazing work.
This video is so damn good from the editing to the script this right here sir is a 10/10 video in my book.
Earned my subscription, absolutely loved this video. I grew up with dmc, and I think you nailed the essence of what I love about the series.
This is great stuff, love your sincerity.
Another smashing video, Timmm!
Your videos oozes with passion and earnestness which is rare these days, especially for a KZhead video. I'd love to see more of these types of videos from you in the future my guy. Keep it up!
Bro I got this vid in my recommended and I gotta say, your editing is so fucking good
How do you get foreground elements layered out of background elements from stock footage? I couldnt make that transition you made during the dante sword scene
for the dmc1 dante sword scene i used the roto brush in after effects. then i just went frame by frame to make sure it was at least semi accurate
@@timmm_ Cool! Thank you for the tip!
Dude wtf your editing is amazing
Really impressive editing there.
one of the best videos on DMC that I've seen in a minute, great work 👏👏
Awesome video, my dude! Also, your Dante fit is drippy as fuck, especially those boots. Honestly wish it's what his dmc5 costume looked like.
Wow. You blew me away, good sir. What a brilliant video essay.
You've earned a like and subscribe. Insane production
Got this in my recommend because of all the DMC shit I watched and I feel blessed. Thank you for making a great video bro and I'm glad you enjoy the series as much as we do.
great effort went into this video it seems, u got my like and sub bud
what the actual fuck ? how the hell does this channel not have more subs ? the quality of this video alone is insane!
HOW DO YOU ONLY HAVE 31K SUBS? Seriously you earned my sub man keep it up
So thankful I found this channel, timmm you make good content
this is one of the best videos I have ever watched. Thank you for blessing us with this masterpiece
Just discovered you through this video. Subbed immediately. DMC never stuck with me as a series, but I still somehow ended up playing and completing all of them. When I say it never stuck with me I mean that they were never games I went back for another play through, but always came back for the next installment. Your editing is amazing and I think you captured the series perfectly with your narrative...just plain crazy man. Loved all this dude well done 👍
Wow man good fucking job. This video is top notch. I'm bewildered by your animations and transitions. New sub!
i'm so in love with this
it's such a mcr-coded game oh my god. the bit where you described listening to "the ghost of you" for 4 days straight hit so hard because YES dude YES Devil May Cry feels like this too
As always, amazing! Leaving the comment for the algorythm, buddy. You deserve for this channel to blow up!
56:27 awwwww is that a family portrait that's ADORABLE
You deserve way more views and subscribers man
how the hell this channel has 8k subscribers only?! editing is nigh perfection, best dmc video i watched ever
1hours of SSS editing and documentary, so as Dante : Jackpot ! ;) Thank you
Subbed, excellent work
You deserve a bigger audience, well done!
As a new dmc fan its nice seeing someone elses first time with the series! Also yes your presentation is awesome! Ya earned a sub and possibly a patron later. Cant wait to watch your other stuff and see what you do!
Holy shit not even one minute in and this is already insanely high quality and it’s on one of my favorite series of all time!
bro why is this the best video ive ever watched and why am i just finding it
Everytime I watch one of your videos I finish it and think damn, that’s the best video I’ve ever seen
I really like this video. You do great work!
As someone who did have this as a part of my childhood and loved how dumb and amazing these games are, thank you for making this. Found it pretty hard not to smile watching this and reliving alot of the memories I have surrounding these crazy games
this video is a masterpiece in editing
Holy shit bro, this video’s really good, I can’t believe you have only 8 thousand subs.
This is a well done retrospective of the series. DMC3 was the first game of the genre that I played and left me wanting more games like this, which led me to to the God of War series as a kid. Would love to see you cover the God of War series. This video was well made!
This is a really fun and well made video
That was such an amazing video, I was about to just flick over it but I'm very glad I didn't. Damn good job good sir!
oh my god, this channel is insanely awesome. I'd say that you now are a Super Cool Kid like you wanted. i still have no idea how you dont have over a million subscribers
Gawd I love DMC and I love that I randomly found the channel. Boost that algorithm
This is like Ahoy meets Nakey Jakey style video, surprised you're only on 9k subs, that number is going to go up for sure.
The algorithm finally gave me a recommendation for a great channel that isn't over 100k subs even though it should. Haven't seen editing like this it's super unique, definitely subbing
