Muhammad Nazrin He lives a very lonely life. The people around him don’t make things any better tbh. Especially in the anime tbh. They use his credit card a lot and just want things off him. No real bonds. (I like Trish and Lady a lot. I can still point out they’re kind of shit friends to Dante). Kind of wish that little girl (I forgot her name but I mentioned her to someone earlier.... wtf brain?!) was in the games. I liked their good sibling like bond. Also she went to his house willingly to hang with him. She didn’t want anything from him except friendship. I think Nero existing is a positive existence on his life. He has a Nephew who he is good buddies with.

Like you said, he wants to gain power because hes afraid of being hurt again, because losing his mother made him feel powerless, and he'll go as far as killing his own brother to keep from feeling like that ever again.

Kin Not really. Those three only are around him when they want something, they don’t hang out. (I like the three. I can sill point out the negative side of their personality though. I can with Dante who I really like a lot. they’re kind of shit friends. Only seem to hang out in a crisis. They weren’t around game 2 as an example. I understand Lady cuz she was not invented yet on production wise, but Trish has no excuse for not being around. Most of the anime it was business with them). Nero is a positive existence in his life in my view so I think he won’t be as lonely anymore. Nero existence allows him the family he wishes he had. Both make each other better people. I wish that little girl who was like a daughter to him was in the games. It did make him feel less lonely in the anime. I liked their friendship. She genuinely wanted to hang out with him with no strings attached. He protected her in return. They made each other better people.

I would be depressed too if I found out why some woman is muttering some story at me while she shoots, it's because the dude realized that he can't connect to anyone on an emotional level due to his quote on quote "dysfunctional family" and he only ever felt satisfaction from fighting, so yeah, his story is pretty damn sad. (Stares intensely at DMC2's existence)

And even then, there’s not really much of a conclusion to that storyline. More of a “passing the baton to the next generation and taking a backseat” kind of feel.
I think that whole rumor leak saying dmc 5 is "the end of the sons of sparda story" was just a big rumor. It doesn't look like it's over yet for dante and vergil.

the decent thing about dmc2 is that dante showing and acted as father/mentor/older brother figure towards lucia and later, nero especially in 4. sure there are some rivalry and inferiority streak from nero towards dante, probably inherited it from vergil (lol). but im sure that nero really respects and look up towards dante, showing that dante really cares about others, especially his own kin. he's such a great character. even in dmc2, theres still some growth for him
