Yeah they did this on purpose. They don’t give you the VC to remake your build. This is a scum bag move even for 2ks standards.

At least give us our badge points back. When you rebirth a new build you should be able to select what badges you want with the badge points you have. (ex. if you had 26 playmaking on your old build and switched to 28 shooting, you can invest your playmaking into your shooting, and other things into your shooting also. That way you still earned all those badges but if you have more on your new build, you just have to grind those badges a couple more times)
Next gen didnt have the problem with badges and they still give us the rebirth quest. So, is a W for Next Gen.
And they don’t even give you max primary badges like they did on 2k19 shits a finesse
So on current gen do we keep our old builds overall or does it just restart on Season 2?

Its like nobody actually reads the rebirth details. You get the badges and the cap breaker to 90 but you get absolutely zero progression towards attributes meaning your build will still be 60 overall. They want you to buy the VC to upgrade it

I got a 88OVR playmaking shot creator and a 86OVR 2 way finisher and I’m really not the happiest about this update tbh
Im sure they did this on purpose, but are backtracking hard once they saw people wanting refunds and having a case for getting them. BTW you dont get a free 90 overall character, you get a bill for 250k vc to get to 90... its only unlocking the cap to 90, you still need to pay vc...

They nerfed defense and buffed dunks so it’s starting to look more and more like 21 next gen, even when Mike wang said “we’re not touching gameplay”

Hold up! 2k says that losing badges on current saves, is only cosmetic and that the server knows the real stats and will apply that? I am sorry, but 2K has lost to much cred that i am calling BS on that. My guess is they saw the reactions and put out a statment to cover there ass. Far as i know, it is going to be impossible for us to check that our stats still apply. So i think they nerfed it and put out a BS statment, that they know you can´t fact check.
If they purposely removed badges then they would let the community know beforehand. Also it still showed how many badges you earned before they took away badges. Don’t you think the badges earned and the badges you still have after being removed would be the same? 2k clearly did it on accident.

It’s not just new saves. My player wasn’t maxed out on his badges. I had 24 out of a max of 26 slasher badges, and 23 out of max of 24 Defense badges. When I logged on today, it was 24 out of max 25, and 23 of a max 23. Hopefully they fix it soon.

I really don’t understand 2k. Even though this 2k has lots of issues, it was the best 2k in years. People were praising the game. For some reason, they decided they did not like the fact that most people were enjoying the game and decided to screw the game mechanics. Just why? I know the reason may be money, but I am never buying a 2k again until they stop the nonsense. Such a foolish company.

You were saying it perfectly until you said screw the game mechanics. A patch that changes how difficult/easy it is to shoot is an update. A patch that buffs/nerfs interior defense is an update. We may or may not like these things based on our preferred playstyles. That is a nuisance for sure, but it is still legitimate because the game belongs to 2k. This was straight up theft. Never in history has 2k ever said anything this outrageous before. Our players have always been our exclusive property as buyers of the game. This was theft. This was an involuntary transaction. This was 2k stealing your game console while you are gone from home, then offering to sell it back to you minus a controller while they brag they did a system update if you pay.

Buddy I’ve seen 30-50% contested whites go in, I’ve seen people with cold bars shoot and make contested whites. The problem is that people that aren’t supposed to even be shooting threes let alone making them hit whites. I have a play shot with 95 three, I MISS WHITES WITH MY BADGE SOMETIMES. And guys with 60ish three hit whites consistently, you think that is okay and I shouldn’t be mad? @@brysoncandelaria7040 well to be fair not every contest is above 65percent … which allows room for error in the coding … besides that hot spots matter … that hot zone Hunter in association with blinders … and the mismatch badge … there’s no way to actually guard some Rhythm shots also if they have that badge along with volume shooter. It’s now become a MMORPG … which is the REAL problem. The competition you play is never in an NBA setting and the Rec is a joke. Pro Am has no real balance … and the ruling elite of the community refuse to let you play a game without a squad for affiliation games on next gen

My way 2 Way Sharp at SG used to have 77 handle and 13 badges. Now it only has 75 handle max and 12 playmaking badges

Same here but I wasn’t having that bs so I hit up the 2k support and so far their on top of it so just report it and pretty soon their gonna get on it you probably have a maxed out badge category that you got an extra badge in after the update if at all possible just avoid doing things in that category and you should continue progressing for now, now that’s easier said then done, mine is playmaking so as long as I avoid assists I’m fine but if yours in in something like shooting or slashing just do the opposite, if it’s in defense well good luck they’ll fix it eventually but I’d say okay another build or make a new one for the time being

Wow! 2k must really regret having that Rebounding Wing build in the game. They stole 12 ( yes twelve!!) Of the playmaking badges on my Rebounding Wing plus 4 defense and 6 finishing. That build went from future NBA superstar to soon to be playing for the Shanghai Sharks.
They only started the re birth because they know more people is going to want to spend money to upgrade the rebirth. They give us 30 badges we give them like 80 dollars lol they smart

Yup😧they took main badges too, i had 16 shooting badges for my slashing play and they made it to 14, then on my rebounding wing they dropped both shooting and defense
A slashing play shouldn’t over 10 shooting anyways but okay complain
It’s messed up the way they went about the update😞 in a way I understand why they did the badges like this to make builds more balanced but at least reimburse us for the badges we lost

Because I did the MyNation games on my slasher build and I didn’t anything for my build and he his a 90 ovr but he’s not maxed out yet. the build is also at 6 out of 12 on shooting badges so I know I should’ve gotten some points for it and I didn’t get none either.
It was a nice scam. They Got $150 out of me . Haven’t played 2k since 17 , i was actually liking 2k22 but my player loss alot of badges & now my excitement for this game is dead . Back to COD & fortnite i go .

Yeah I’m not touching my career for the rest of the year. I actually thought it was going to be a decent year but they ruined my build that I labbed for 2 days and grinded all my badges for. Agent for some reason my rebirth is not there anymore. I went up to the lady and got the whole rebirth quest and played 5 games of 3v3 and got off and now I came back online and my rebirth is not their anymore. Kind of frustrated. Help a brother out.

Anyone experiencing this bug? I receive two updates for the current gen and next gen yesterday, and right after that update completed. I notices that at the end of the game it kicks me off back to the menu, or I get zero attributes points and zero badges and then it kicks me out of the game and went straight to the main menu.
I’m a noob on 2k. What’s the best build to start with? Or the build to have more fun with!?
What’s agent on about? You still have to grind your build to 90, you just get a 1/3 of your badges to start off. And you don’t have to play while the games going on in MyPlayer Nation. You just have to play it before the teams next game.
You’re wrong you still gotta spend VC to level the players overall up but that’s it you do get your badges and you can upgrade your player to a 90 overall but just need the VC

Agent doesnt get how the MyPlayer Nation works. You dont have to play while the real game is on you can play it any time from when its on until they play their next game, which will just cause it to change to the new opponents
Its literally a free game of 2x XP and VC every time the team you're on plays a game irl that you can play whenever you want

May be look into 2k22 PS4 , my Career will not give you XP points after playing a game in My Career , and that the Badges say I now have Badge points to use that I do not. So now I can not play.
