There also use to be vc sales. I remember on 17 i would get like 50% off $20 vc occasionally so you and incentives were actually good by the time i got my badges on a build i would make enough vc back to make another build
If you play mc for a season with playoff 5 mins quarter , quest and endorsements, pretty much over 120+k vc
@@jackhuang9131 you have to do that 4 times to max a player. 450k to 500k to max. 120k x 4 = 480k so the + would probably get you over the edge.

I struggled with money spending, spent $100 on VC just to realize that the defense is hall of fame on pro, sucks for a casual player like me, who wants to just enjoy there free time when I'm not working on my busy schedule
Same - This year I feel like a "new" player & been playing this for years. Easy setting was fun, pro - ok, this year pro doesnt exist.
Same I’m still on game 7 I turned my game off so many times because I had to find ways to beat cpu with a 69 overall just to get in the starting line up. I eventually spent the damn money for my player to be better and he’s still not even all that great at 85 overall and I’m never making that mistake again .
In NZ, and paying for VC on mass when adjusted for our currency is actually crazy. I honestly think the only way there can be some levity is if another publisher would look at creating another NBA game.

2k14 was the year I really got into my team. I would spend $20 on a pack opening and be able to open a lot of packs. I loved the format of getting most of your players from packs instead of the inflated auction house we have today. Now it seems like you have to spend BANDS to just be competitive in my team

As an Econ major. Some things still need to be taken into consideration with the math. Sponsorships and events need to be taken into consideration when it comes to how much VC is made. I personally remember brand deals as extremely lucrative in 2k17 and was able to get enough to open boxes in the my team mode with ease. Yet despite them hiking up the price in later titles, the events are less lucrative so less VC is made in total. I think also a ratio should be made for each game comparing the VC rates to the player costs to come out with one final number on how viable it was to grind for VC in the different games. Also you could factor in USD inflation into the VC prices too. Since 2017 the USD has lost substantial value that could have made VC technically cheaper. Just some things to keep in mind. I think their video is a good start but this could go way deeper. Personally ID be down to do research and put together a video on this.

This will continue to be a problem so long as the 2K community remains ignorant to how egregious these microtransactions are. No other game would be able to get away with having $70 entry fee and then require a crazy amount of time and/or money to have a playable character in their game.
Its definitely changed over the years. The devs are even designing the "prelude" part to intentionally be frustrating so that you buy VC. If you're tryna grind from 60 OvR, chances are you will not have a great pre-NBA experience. It was hard to win a college chip with 60 ovr, but the second I bought some VC, and got to mid 70s, low 80s, I was blowing out the CPU for my +4 badges. It was obvious 2k designed it like that

Great job but you forgot that my career used to have rookie difficulty. Not only have they taken that away but also made my career more and more difficult every year in order to force people who don't even play in the park to spend VC just to compete against the NPC. Pro am is what me and my boys do. Game after game don’t have to wait for teams to come or if ur streaming and you always get 500 and you’re two goes up. Park takes too long and my career boring and no rep
