@@d4s0n282 Doing that is a really good way to cause a civil war. Which he would either join the "Keep the Crown" side and lose, because the entirety of the UK (including the Irish Mega-Army) would be on the "legitimate" side, or he would be forced to complete the task.

I think the biggest problem with this is that there was no way for the imposters to kill. They realistically could have just voted basically everyone out and been fine, since there was no risk of the imposters getting the upperhand
They could destroy the economy, which would slowly kill everybody since nobody would be able to finish their tasks (except, I suppose, England, or maybe Scotland).
Well, the impostors could sabotage the others' tasks.

That makes it more like Dread Hunger, then, where the objective is more to slow down the crew from achieving the objective than it is to kill everyone.
You act like it's difficult to crash the economy in Vicky 3. Just build all the small arms factories in your country. Watch the price of iron and tools skyrocket, and keep building up. Or similar. Also all the imposters have to do is fail to complete their tasks by the time limit. Sabotaging the empires objectives and losing them the game. Sure imposters can't remove players from the game at random. But they can spoil the economy and make it impossible for their competition to win.
Rule suggestion: when two or more people are voted out, they talk privately and admit to each other if they are imposter. Then they come back and let you know if the crew mates won or not. That is the only info they can give.
or since the imposters already know each other, just ask the one you voted out if the game is over. if they are innocent they say no, because one imposter is left. if they're an imposter they will know anyway. simple

Starcraft: Brood War in its heyday used to have a bunch of lobbies for a custom map style called Phantom, BGH in particular was super popular. It had all 8 players on the same team, but one person was the phantom and had natural resource generation, but had to use diplomacy and backstabbing to get everyone to destroy each other enough for the resources to be enough to just overwhelm everyone. I put a lot of hours into Phantom and it's very much Among Us in an RTS.
There's also like a million Warcraft 3 custom maps like mafia, werewolves, vampires, etc. and they mostly play by the day-night cycle where the impostor attacks during night and tries to blend in during day.
I love how even through all the mayhem and chaos, you can still see that these people are a nice group of friends hang a jolly good time. Oh and also Valefisk is there.
Oh Vale, please, PLEASE do this in CK3. Think of all the intrigue options!

Deep Rock Among Us: They have to figure out who is trying to sabotage the team during a Deep Dive by knocking people down 2-3 times each. All revives are allowed, but if you get knocked 3 times you have to leave the game
Gotta mod it to the breaking point. 100s of enemies onscreen constantly, unlimited ammo and equiptment, a detonator every 30s, etc. And they just have to do a 200 morkite mining mission haha
