RANGE TEST BMW 530e xDRIVE TOURING PLUG-IN HYBRID

In this video i will do a real life range test with the BMW 530e xDrive Touring PHEV. I will test the range on the highway to find out the minimum range of this car. Then I will do a range test at lower average speeds in the city to find out the maximum electric range of the BMW 530e. I will also do a charging test at a public charger to know how long it takes to fully charge the battery. I will also measure how long it takes to fully charge the battery while driving using the battery control function. At the end of this video I share all of my info regarding the average fuel consumption: what is the average fuel consumption, how much fuel does this car consume with an empty battery, how much fuel does it consume while driving and charging, etc.

In deze video doe ik een actieradius test met de BMW 530e xDrive Touring PHEV. Ik zal de autonomie op de snelweg testen om het elektrische rijbereik van deze auto te achterhalen. Daarna ga ik een actieradius test doen bij lagere gemiddelde snelheden in de stad om de maximale elektrische elektrische range van de BMW 530e te achterhalen. Ik zal ook een laadtest doen bij een openbare oplader om te weten hoe lang het duurt om de batterij volledig op te laden. Ik zal ook meten hoe lang het duurt om de batterij volledig op te laden tijdens het rijden met behulp van de batterijcontrolefunctie. In diesem Video mache ich einen realen Reichweitentest mit dem BMW 530e xDrive Touring PHEV. Ich werde die Reichweite auf der Autobahn testen, um die Mindestreichweite dieses Autos herauszufinden. Dann mache ich einen Reichweitentest bei niedrigeren Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeiten in der Stadt, um die maximale elektrische Reichweite des BMW 530e herauszufinden. Dans cette vidéo, je vais faire un test d'autonomie réelle avec la BMW 530e xDrive Touring PHEV. Je vais tester l'autonomie sur autoroute pour connaître l'autonomie minimale de cette voiture. Ensuite, je ferai un test d'autonomie à des vitesses moyennes inférieures en ville pour connaître l'autonomie électrique maximale de la BMW 530e. Je ferai également un test de charge sur un chargeur public pour savoir combien de temps il faut pour charger complètement la batterie. Je vais également mesurer combien de temps il faut pour charger complètement la batterie pendant la conduite en utilisant la fonction de contrôle de la batterie. À la fin de cette vidéo, je partage toutes mes informations concernant la consommation moyenne de carburant : quelle est la consommation moyenne de carburant, combien de carburant cette voiture consomme-t-elle avec une batterie vide, combien de carburant consomme-t-elle pendant la conduite et la charge, etc.

  • Johan did you had the chance to try the new v90 t6 recharge? I am trying to decide between the 2 of them, would be curious what is your opinion. The offer that volvo made me, 16% discount makes the full specked v90 cheaper by around 10k compared to a lower, but still good specked 530e. Also the new electric range volvo claims with the new 18.4 kW battery is up to 75-80kms

  • The combined consumption is interesting. But a 520d for example would be very similar if not lower. My F90 M5 under normal motorway driving is under 11 litres/100 km, so not excessively high

  • Is het eigenlijk interessant qua verbruik om battery control te gebruiken? Compenseren de gewonnen elektrische kilometers het meerverbruik aan brandstof?

    • Yes, there is an electric mode where you only drive electric. There is hybrid mode where the car choses if it uses the petrol engine or electric motor or both. I did a quick explanation here: kzhead.info/sun/mMOgoZ2Mj4GvloE/bejne.html It's the 520e, but it's the same explanation for the 530e

  • I wonder why the charging power at the charging station is only 3.7 KW when the motor manages to charge the battery in 48 minutes. This means the charging power could be around four times as high.

    • I didn't test that. Speed limit here in Belgium on autobahn is 120 km/h

    • @@JohanDeHaes more in between 35-42km for both mixed and city driving (I live in the countryside so I have more 70km/h roads). Last week, I did a 250km drive in hybrid mode and could only reach 47 electric kms, including the regenerated energy while driving and breaking.

    • Thanks for the info 👍 Very interesting to know. Maybe I should have pointed out more that I did the test when it was 19-20 °C. Do you also notice a big difference in range when the temperature gets colder? Like now compared to the summer.
