HyperX Cloud III Wireless Headset Review - I'm shocked...

The HyperX Cloud III wireless adds a $60 premium to the wired version. Is it worth the extra $60, and how does it compare to everything else? In this video I cover the basics, what it can and can't do, comfort, mic test, and sound quality.

  • What an incredible review. Your use of the tuning data is spot on. Not too geeky to lose us, but in-depth enough to keep us focused and interested. Well done, Sir. Your inclusion of gaming experience is also very helpful. Thank you as always for your time and hard work compiling the data repository for reference. Take care and all the best.

  • Man your content is really good. Keep it up. The graphs, measuring with different pads, the eq's for games, real value videos. It just amazes me how much of a surprise every unboxing and testing still is even though I at this point know well what frequency regions I dislike and what kind of curve is what my best sounding (to me) gear have. The freq response on the cloud iii wireless looked so damn good, and you mentioning the sidetone is great also got me really excited, exactly what I want from a headset. But upon getting them, putting them on and listening to music and gaming I was just immediately disappointed by the overall sound and timbre. Shouty, no air, bass okay, small soundstage, congested feeling. Fine ingame, but not worth the price imo. My Cloud Core Wireless sounds better to me. Will be returning these, it looks great on paper but reality came in hard. Keep doing what you're doing man, it is quality content.

Then i went to Beyerdynamics Costume Game which i have to this day for years. Its superb, but its slowly falling apart. I need a new one and man youre selling me Hyper X again. I find out all of them has some sickness (white noise, very bad microphone, connection problems, bad battery, only good sound for competitive gaming, very heavy clamping force/weight etc.) so I ordered my wired (H6 pro) headset at friday. And now I am listening this review.....

  • I had the wired Cloud II headset and it was the best headset I've ever had, hopefully I'll be able to say the same thing about these. I've always been pretty skeptical about wireless headsets, but I'm gonna give this one a try. You've convinced me :D

      @bilgekaancetinkaya5717@bilgekaancetinkaya5717Ай бұрын
    • @@bilgekaancetinkaya5717 Yeah, they are great. The battery life is out of this world, I only had to charge them like twice since I bought them and I play a lot of CS2. They are very comfy, so no headaches from too long gaming sessions. Range is very good, I had no problems walking around the house with them on. Just one note from me - they're great for gaming, but if you wanna listen to music on them, then you might be a bit disappointed. It's not like they're horrible for music, but still, I wouldn't recommend them for that. Oh, and the mic is really good, definitely the best I've had in a gaming headset. If you buy them - remember to install the software "NGENUITY" and update them, the sound feels much better afterwards.

  • Crazy how good mics are now a year ago i was on a hunt and there was only the hs80 for wireless, then wired was pc37x/38x & h6 pro everything else were garbage. Now we got these Hyper X, Cloud III, BlackShark V2 Pro all wireless too. Also the treble on Nova 7s literally pinch my ears, i still dont get the rave about them other than its features

    • Yeah, Im using Nova 7p, I have no clue why the Novas are so hyped out there. Its surely not bad as a headset but in my opinion the weak and bad clampforce destroys a lot of good sounds and base. And something you forgot.. Some years ago, in 2019 Audio Technica brought out the G1WL and it not only has a amazing sound for everything, it has way the best Microphone out here! Til today its unbeaten. Cloud 3 and Blackshark 2023 have over average Mics only and are not really impressing me

  • Something I noticed with the Cloud 3 Wireless, is the mic doesn't pick up any sound leakage from the headset. I've had this problem with the Cloud Alphas and Cloud 2 (wired) and it's been quite annoying as someone who speaks in voice chat a lot and has relatively high volume on. The Cloud 3's from my testing, doesn't pick up any sound, even like super loud music doesn't get through to the mic. Super impressed so far with that alone.

  • I'm a huge fan of HyperX. I just wished they showed more love to Xbox as far as wireless goes. It's been almost 3 years, if I'm not mistaken, since their last Xbox wireless headset. I own the HyperX CloudX Flight and they're just ok, and I also own the HyperX CloudX Stinger Core direct pair for Xbox and they're excellent, but it's time for them to bring something new to the Xbox.

    @lnbabz@lnbabz2 ай бұрын
    • Purely for music, this is a better value. With gaming though, the other two models have a lot more features so I still think you get more with them. Because you have the Maxwell already, I would stick so one of the other models that have more "gamer" features and worry less about the pure sound quality, as nothing will beat the Maxwell
