You should totally make a little 3D printed deathstar for the tip of the laser
it would probably melt due to the high heat of the laser
As much as I love the idea it would be too hot
It would melt
3D Print it then make a mold out of it and cast it out of aluminum
@@hansvonolhausen3933 even with aluminium ,they will get over heat

People don't realize that bullets work by pressurizing the cartridge. The primer not only ignites the power, it puts the powder under pressure. Gunpowder gets its explosiveness only when ignited under high pressure.
Yeah, the way they did it you could probably put your hand in front of the shell and only have minor damage compared to it being loaded into a gun..
Actually most if not everyone knows that. Why I see people commenting on how a firearm works on a channel that is about experimenting is silly. He had showed the .308 round and basically explained that minus the chamber pressure but thanks for the armchair firearm lesson. Lib alert
Ignition of gun powder has something called reverse burn on the shooters hand ... So take CARE👍
I love your friendship/dynamic. Watching your channel feels like hanging out with the guys. Oh and I think it could be cheaper to just use Ian instead of foam heads
Thanks Matt! Good idea, but we wanted to use an undamaged head. ;)

Good to see you guys back, always fun to see you mess around and have fun.
hahaha this testing is so unnecesarily destructive to your equipement. Also be very careful if you're setting off rounds outside of a chamber: Shells won't build as much pressure but setting off a brass cased round outside a breech can be like a tiny grenade
I'd expect the result to be different depending upon where they aim the laser. At the end where there's nothing to contain the pressure is likely to give a different result than further in. But yeah, even just plastic can be dangerous if it turns to shrapnel.
Love your jabs at each other when looking at the foam head, keep up the great content!!!
Great stuff as always! Looking forward to what's next!
3:28 yeet
That was incredibly stupid... but fun to watch. I'm shocked that your laser print continued working after the first round!
0:49 i just love that little smoke mushroom
Questions: Does this already classify as a fully automatic firearm? I mean, you press the trigger, in this case the mouse or a button, and it discharges multiple rounds. And you live in CA 😂
There's no barrel or other pressure bearing device so I don't think it could be classified as a firearm. If there were barrels attached, it could, however be seen as a "trigger actuation device" (using a machine or other device to help pull a trigger for you, i.e. the Gat Crank), which could potentially be illegal in California and a few other states but not illegal federally speaking.
@@bananaboat1808 good to know, cheers
@@petertraurig5728 don't use that as advice.
@@DSiren i am going to use that as advice
@@zhankazest It's illegal federally speaking. I warned you.
Living near this warehouse must be such a pain lol
Something about the brass... the LASER you are using is a 10Knm wavelength... it will reflect. If you were using a 450nm blue laser at that power it would mark the metal... and at higher power would cut it. Usually for metal cutting they use a fiber laser with a short wavelength. Interesting, when I had a 10Knm IR laser I could cut plexiglass, when I used a 450nM blue laser, it passed through the plexiglass and burned with wood under it.
Good seeing you guys back! Haven't been here long but glad I subscribed!
Also seeing you guys have guns/ammo in Los angles/California makes me happy
Glad to see them back!
as usual : great video ! by the way, you're crazy guys (love it)
Bro it sounds like squid game if anyone catches my drift lol. 5:12
It appears in the brief shot of your control panel that the laser uses a Ruida controller. If you have it connected via wired network, you can get an app for your phone to remote operate your laser. I'm amazed that you'd fire rounds in the same direction that one would take to destroy a laser tube! Just crazy fun.
bro this is genuinely one of the stupidest but the best things i have ever seen i love it
You know its a great idea when you're muttering "this is sooo dumb" whilst running to the bathroom for cover
Nice Video, welcome back!
I was waiting for months for a new vid thanks for a amazing one
Our company has its own R&D department but it stands for Ryan and David 😂
When you're setting off unchambered rounds the casing becomes the projectile. So point it sideways or with the bullet torwards you.
sideways is best.
"with the bullet towards you" excuse me what?
@@ns6q333 Because the bullet won’t have enough force to break through your skin. The casing will definitely do damage but not those small ass rounds.
@@tropicalreservoir7798 i think i'll just stand behind a wall
That sounds so stupid yet so true
The actual reason why it didn't do that much damage to the head when the shotgun shell went off is because sense there is no barrel holding the shell it didn't have enough time to burn all the powder which makes it pretty weak that's also why in the line up of shotgun shells some black powder comes out the front because it didn't have time to burn it
Incorrect. The powder is burned - but the energy released is released without a barrel or other device compressing and containing it - so it just disperses.
I love the sign- its so brilliant and simple 😂
Nicely done my dudes

Always a treat
If you want gasoline to behave like a high explosive, you need to mix it with an oxidizer.
One way to do so is to spray it! (The gasoline goes in the spray bottle)
You might wanna check with your lawyer to see if this is legal. Im pretty sure this would be considered a machine gun under ATF regulations.
I thought this was ridiculous but then I actually went through the atf definitions. You know somethings messed up when a pice of wood and a laser might actually be considered a machine gun
Everything is a machine gun according to them
@@theGoblinStopper thats not true at all.... the lower reciever of an AR-15 is considered the firearm, and does not have a barrel or even a complete chamber for a round...
@@theGoblinStopper if i go to my local gun store and buy a stripped lower reciever, aka a piece of aluminum with holes drilled into it. i still have to get a background check for that according to the ATF as just that piece of aluminum is considered the firearm. The ATF redefines things all the time, give it time and the shockwave is gonna be considered an SBR, they are already going after arm braces they already approved for AR pistols.
I’d say this is more akin to disposal by fire. If this is a machine gun then throwing a bunch of shells into a fire is as well. As a prosecutor You could try and argue that but you’ll get laughed out of court
I love that sign!
An AI turret that lasers enemies shotgun shells through a gun making them explode sounds like an awesome idea now
Fun fact:a lot people after watching this will do it
The shotgun ammo didn’t do that much damage because their is no barrel to focus the fire power

Girls Sleepovers: Giggles and Pillow Fights Boys Sleepovers:
literally my first idea to fixing the issue of the bullet being reflective was just painting over it or using a marker and its probably not that simple but if you use a strong enough laser it will probably penetrate about half way or something
I mean, sandpaper, steel wool... a knife... a key... anything to make the surface coarse and not reflective.
Your videos are super cool!💯 love from Netherlands✌

In order to get more damage, there needs to be enough pressure. Pressure that can be built in a chamber and barrel.

The return of the legends
awsome guys - keep it up
The reason that the bbs in the shells don't do shit is because the pressure in the shell once set off is escaping by expanding the shell and as soon as it leaves the shell flies widely about. You need a barrel or a tube to contain the shell so that the shell does not just explode out and somewhere to direct the pressure so that the pressure can build.
They keep that. If they did like you say, there would be extensive damage
How come the KZhead algorithm hasn’t blown this up yet is the biggest question of all.
