In this video, we test if a bullet or cannonball can be curved around a person by making a vest completely out of metal tubes.

@@troydashtheperson Haha nice!! They're gonna go fast. Unveils next month, shipping in June. I'm making a dedicated video on it because of how much I love the idea. Thanks for supporting and watching our content :)
From science and engineering to Brandon Herrera 😂
Is it possible to make that rocket launcher from BO3, the L4 Siege? Please?
lol
I wish they had made the armor curve all the way around so the bullet went back at the person who shot you😂😂😂
definitely considered doing that but i don't want to die....yet
@@RyanKung you could have the string around the trigger, and like a small piston or servo connected to the string, connect the piston/servo to a wire and go off to the side, so you can press a button to contract the string to pull the trigger
It worked in spaceballs
@@RyanKung Try 270° instead of 360° all the way?
that's what i originally thought it was..
Finally someone who gets strait to shooting and not talking for a half hour first like we can multitask and listen to a person speak while we view . Ahaha dope video
yesssss i 100% agree. It's annoying watching youtube videos with a finger hovering over the right arrow key.
Ikr regular KZhead would turn this into 3 12min videos.
Lol straight shooting
Give me a crossbow
Stait 2 shuting
😂 I thought the first pipe vest was a curved pipe all the way around, so when he just stood right in front of it and shot it with a 9mm, I was like "..... What if that was successful and actually curved the bullet?.. It's gonna come right back at you!!" lol didn't know the pipes weren't connected
same lol i was so confused😂😂😂
Now I'm picturing a ballistic shield that is a big funnel that catches bullets, with a hole that redirects them back at the shooter's direction. It would look like a big dumb tuba that kills you if you try to shoot it
Honestly? I subbed once I realized you guys got right to the point of the video. After that it's just variations on the theme, and that kept me hooked. Great humor, fun ideas, possible danger... yeah. My kind of channel. Great stuff!
I love the “we have no idea what we’re doing but we’re having fun doing it!” Attitude
Only way to do it! Lol
That’s called science sir
Your life :)
Your tests with the rifle against the wiggly pipe reminded me of a video I saw the other day about the StG 44 barrel attachment used during World War 2 called; The Krummlauf. It was basically just a slight curved barrel that allowed troops to shoot around corners or over walls, etc, but because of the bend was only able to be used for roughly 100 rounds and turned the rifle more into a shotgun-esque shrapnel spread.
Interestingly there were originally four types of this twisted barrel, but only the smallest bend was used as all others would break within a few hundred shots, were extremely inaccurate, and like you said they were basically worse shotguns. Even then the one that was used was very limited due to the same problems.
@@leflamewolf Yep. Israel fixed this problem by using a mechanical system to aim around corners with a pistol. The front end can be bent around a corner with a pistol on it while you hold it like a rifle. Then, when you pull the trigger, it sends a signal to the lever attached to the pistol trigger, causing it to fire. Pretty neat way to avoid the curved barrel and shrapnel problem.
@@rebelgaming1.5.14 but this idea fell out of any favor when they realized very quickly they were carrying a rifle sized package for a pistol sized cartridge, So while the concept and prototypes exist, iirc nobody cares to put it into production
I'm glad to see you took this experiment in a different direction than Demolition Ranch did when he tried curving bullets with pipes. Iirc pvc held up better than metal, but it's been a while.
He is absolutely hilarious.! Glad to see you are making it with your own platform.! I love all your over-the-head quips, intelligently done and very comical !
The germans actually experimented with curved barrels for shooting around corners in ww2. They definitely work
No they don't, they weren't used for long
mfw someone think experimented is the same as using
@@redsnowleopard fr tho
The Germans tries basically everything in ww2, alot of it was stupid
They were BS sometimes it worked but it was like from 100 tries 80 blew up the barrel or the gun
0:45 for a moment I thought the pipes courve all the way around in an U shape and he's gonna shoot himself cartoon style XD
That curve around the groin with the cannon just killed me
Whoever charged you $400 to bend that completely ripped you off 🤣
I bet that quarterwall pipe alone was $200, not to mention having a machine shop do it and not his neighbors.
Yes but 400 dollars to save your parts from a direct cannon ball shot . well that's priceless
Bender B Bending Rodriguez
Shh, let em all think that's the standard. I can run pipe, I'll gladly take 400 a bend.
But she got almost 12.000€ whit this video

"ok, we have no idea what the f*ck we are doing and some of our projects could kill us... PERFECT!" I just love that attitude, keep up the good work Ryan!!!
People get a kick out of my fat-pp when I whip it out... Demolition ranch is probably kicking himself for not extending his pipe bending video to this now obvious conclusion. Keep up the good work!
What is name/link of this crossbow? I want to order it
I have never laughed so much at a youtube video. This is great content.
Never seen this channel before in my life…. It was probably the most entertaining video on every level. Definitely subscribe worthy
Now make the pipe curve all the way around to see if the bullet shoots back at the shooter.
thats what the first vest did
What first vest? First one went from front to back, not loop back like Spaceballs
This should work better, as offense is the best defense
Demo ranch has done extensive pipe shooting testing.
no you
5:25 - That's got to be one of the best, most creative on-screen titles ever. Better than most movies!
The pipe doesn't have to be thicker and heavier, you just need to reinforce the turns only, and it would keep the weight and cost down
Those anti grenade holes are some of the best ideas someone could have had for a bunker. Holy shit kind of thinking that definitely carried over from the last war that’s for sure
It can still serve as ventilation too with some bending pipes
@@kv4648 I believe they actually do still serve as ventilation, I don't think it's a question I think it's something they did
@@tzimiscelord8483 that's pretty nice efficiency 👍
I don’t understand how someone thought designing vents like that was a good idea in the first place. A direct shot into the bunker with a large enough diameter for a grenade?? What??

Glad I found your channel! Great stuff!
There are some bullet pipe bending videos out there and they do work in a lot of different scenarios and more effective than you would imagine. The problem with this video's tests is that they are all at point blank range, I think the results will be different with some separation.
The canon bit was prolly the funniest gun video bit that I have seen to date great job
So yeah, kevlar, the primary component of bullet-resistant material, is particularly bad with subsonic piercing damage like a knife or, idk, a crossbow bolt. You can cut kevlar with scissors, but it resists bullets because it acts similar to a non-Newtonian fluid where it becomes rigid with heavy impacts, but remains soft and malleable as slower impacts and it's specifically des for bullets which have a VERY high impact compared to something like a swing knife or even a crossbow bolt. But in a standard bullet-resistant vest (bulletproof is a lie, nothing is bulletproof), there's typically ceramic plates inside along with the kevlar and other materials that would divert those slower moving objects, albeit only once per plate and they're significantly heavier.
Great videos please make more more often!
I’m curious to see if there’s a difference on the bullet going with the pipe from the rifle if it’s more towards or against the rifling of the bullet.
Love the video. Where the hell did you get a cannon??
That's basically the idea of slope armor. Have you tried using 2 bulletproof plates to form a V shape, and test how much their protection improves? Must be fun
What's up with the name change? So stoked to see new content though. Also thank you for the free fatpp last video. I couldn't believe I got one and it was legitimately free. I ended up buying another one for myself and gave the other one to my grandpa for Christmas. Oh and for a future knife idea. Maybe a push button automatic? Like a Kershaw launch 4 but even smaller?
Stoppp with the innuendos 😂
Bro... I haven't laughed this hard for far too long. I wish I could put into words how much I needed the laugh. Thank you. 😂😂😂
How to avoid unwanted penetration is where I made it to.
4:31 were still talking about the crossbow bolt... right? RIGHT?

Dude, the “yellow tip” comment had me crying!!
At first I thought the bullets would come back around xD

At first I thought the tubes were connected to each other at the end and thought you were literally going to curve the bullet into yourself.
Great content no nonsense, straight to the point!👍
bending bullets with a pipe existed since the mid-90s when they had a bent barrel for the gun which bent the bullet trajectory but it wasn't practical and kept blowing the barrel after shooting a couple of bullets.
Aiming for the lower hole in my experience often leads to getting slapped!
The design is very human..
Bruh😂
Very easy to use.
Just found this chanel and am now a new subscriber. Great video and it was well done!
@RyanKung I'm curious, on the gun, what if the muzzle was asymmetrical, like a massive (long) bevel (like on a needle), could you possible "curve" the bullet trajectory by doing the arm motion like in the movie because the bottom of the muzzle break would be touching the bullet coming out? would you have enough time with the swing and bullet exiting to slightly bump & change the trajectory? With a full round barrel, the pressure and force is the same on all sides until the exit, so the motion does nothing. But maybe a bezel can.
0:52 - that actually WORKED?
So it's like that scene in Spaceballs where Barf rips pipes off the wall and makes the lasers shoot back at the enemies
Freaking super duper awesomeness movie!
Awesome video, I loved the idea of the curve bulllet(pipe)!!!
4:04 - 4:37 I Just Have To Stop And Acknowledge That Impressive Series Of Double Entendre And Innuendo! 👏👏
I was gonna say, “What if they aren’t aiming for the holes?” But I think you could make a really interesting Airsoft Gun armour to troll ppl with using this concept. Where it’d catch and dispense pellets for you to fire back or redirect them entirely.
Liked and subbed because we need more pipe underwear! We must protect the fat pp pocket
Nice editing bro! Love it

Just found this channel and looks good. Highly recommended!
I just bought a 3 pack Black FN Pen 2.0, LA420410740. I would like to see a glass bead armored vest tested to see if glass beads could work similar to ceramic armor. The beads would need to be encapsulated in some way so they offer complete coverage without gaps. To hold the beads in place they could be stitched between two layers of kevlar and two layers of stitched glass beads would be overlapped to fill in the gaps where a single layer of beads meet. The glass beads would serve two purposes. First, a hard material that absorbs energy when shattering. Second, causing some deflection due to the round beads. Possibly three layers would be needed.
Solid content! Keep it up!
"If you look at my tip you can see that it's yellow"- Ryan Kung Circa 2023......LMFAO i caught that joke and laughed a little too hard.

This video is so good that daily dose of internet used a clip of your video!
Seems as if the objective is angular deflection, also as if a spin type of variation to toss things to the side may also be a possible solution. Shrapnel deflection.
I like how they pull out a string for shooting a vest but not the pipe that could ricochet back at them
