I think the more impressive fact is that the golfball couldn't survive a gas explosion from a blank round but remains intact after getting shot from a civil war cannon and blasted through half a human skull. Like, that's a very thin line of durability for a golfball.

@@RyanKung My limited golf knowledge at play, I do believe you can switch drivers during a game. Perhaps he can choose to instead shoot the ball with a small .22 handgun once he is closer to the hole.

yes that the way to do it, i built my own cannon use 750 grains and put the golf ball through a truck door. Once i loaded it too hot and split the barrel, and put 14 holes in my shed. Also loading it too hot the golf ball will come apart just leaving the barrel.

Could you engineer a pov drone that maintains its distance and height relative to the rear of a toy RC car? The goal being to replicate the 3rd person pov we see in various racing games. That would just be the small scale version. If that works, you could scale up by turning a full size go-cart into an RC version, and then maybe a full size care. I just think it would be cool to have a race like in Death Race, or Twisted Metal. Obviously that would be too dangerous for humans to actually do, so I figure removing the danger it poses to humans, at least makes the idea plausible. I've had this idea for a while now, but I'm not particularly interested in learning the skills it would take to make it happen. Maybe in the future I'll go to college again specifically for that, but for now, I'm content with being an 'idea guy'.

This is a great video, but balls normally hit people from farther away than ~5 ft. That ball looses a lot of speed hitting someone for 180 yards or 250 yards versus like 5 ft
