  • That trick with the sling on the tripod is really neat. I would never have thought of that myself. I always learn something new every time I watch a Vortex Nation podcast!

  • My buddies and I all went with Sightmark Wraiths you can get them for $497 on Amazon right now. They work surprisingly well and many reviews of them on KZhead I'd suggest it to anyone looking to get into night hunting on a budget. The IR illuminator it comes with works great within 150-200 yards but we all got Coyote Cannon illuminator's from Sniper Hog lights for around $250 and that extends the range several hundred yards!

  • I desperately need to see a video just about that 243 AR-10! I'm wanting to build one or two, myself. One longer, one shorter. I'm really wanting to build a 17" 1:8 barrel with a rifle gas system with 55 or 70gr solid coppers

  • North Dakotas law used to be you can only hunt at night from like December to January, and anything that used batteries was essential. No illuminated reticle even.

  • Does anyone use that old trick where after spotting an animal via thermal you grab and hold your barrel tip for couple of minutes so that it would warm up and you could align it to the target direction and thus lose less time finding the target after switching to flashlight attached to rifle?

  • I don't even own night vision it's extremely expensive and would rather spend that money on a good thermal. All I use is a thermal on my rifle and a dim green light to move around while trying to set up on hogs don't really do a lot of coyote hunting but don't pass them up when I see them either.

  • The best rifle for hunting coyotes is a Piper Cub and a 12 guage.

  • I know this is late and it maybe fixed by now, but a solution to the wacky light rule is just to close Coyote night hunting during deer gun season. No confusion for the warden no confusion for the hunter.

  • Good stuff, but totally disagree with the thermal before night vision if a guy can only have one. You can buy a quality pulsar handheld scanner AND a good night vision scope with upgraded IR light for the same or less amount of money than a thermal scope that’s worth having. In my opinion, this is a much better setup and guarantee any die hard Hunter would agree. But don’t get me wrong, if you can afford a thermal scanner and a scope like the Bering super hogster as a minimum, it’s better yet. But that’s $4500+, the scanner and high end night vision, like a pulsar digisight n 450 LRF can be had new for $3500 And this is INFINITELY better than ANY “budget” thermal.

  • Foxpro makes great calls but their lights aren't great. Wicked lights and sniper hog lights are 10x better. For same price point. I live 30 minutes from foxpro been night hunting for years. People i hunt with I only know 2 people that run foxpro gun light and my wicked is way brighter. Imho. As a hunter it's your responsibility to due diligence and research before deciding

  • I would love to Coyote hunt at night. But not at the risk getting into conversation with law enforcement. Because you will NEVER win that conversation. This is a womp womp in my book. I not going to put myself in a situation where the DNR OFFICER INTERPERTION is to write me a ticket. And lose my license.

  • What is the obsession with killing animals?

    @6Diego1Diego9@6Diego1Diego9 Жыл бұрын
    • Wild meat is thought to be healthier being hormone and antibiotic free. Other animals get out of balance like pigs coyotes and cats and pests and deer, etc. so harvesting is good for the ecology. Many introduced animals will explode in population if not killed by hunters.
