Great video once again. Here in Texas we do a lot of coyote hunting and due to pressure they are pretty well educated on hunters! Its a lot of fun though!

Thanks, great info. In FL, electric calls are illegal, but mouth calls are allowed. HOWEVER, coyote hunting is questionable; no season, no hunting in MULTIPLE areas, etc. I live in Seminole, FL (between Largo and St. Petersburg on the west of Tampa Bay) next to Walsingham Reservoir Park. It is a 354 acre county park with a 100 acre lake/reservoir in the middle. Pine, oak & cypress trees with park amenities (picnic areas, walking trails, bike trails, off-road bike trails, etc.) HEAVY underbrush (palmetto, scrub, etc.) Walking the dog last night near a walking gate entry by a fenced retention pond, a fire or police siren went off on the road at the north of the park (about 3/4 mile from where I was). MY GOD!!!! About 12-15 coyotes sounded off, all the while the siren was going on and for several minutes after! Trouble is, in Pinellas County, all the county does about the large coyote infestation is put up signs to be careful, don't feed them, etc. Every now and then you see one on one of the main urban roads, but, again, nothing is being done to reduce the number, and hunting of ANY sort is verboten. If caught, multiple charges, including "ANIMAL CRUELTY"!!! Can't wait to get out and to SE Tennessee!

As Canadian seeing the layout on your table really makes me sad. Here we're not allowed No suppressors, No night hunts, no AR's. FilthyGov has all but destroyed the sport for us up here. Used to run a Foxpro Hellfire, loved the thing. "Upgraded" to the Fusion and instantly noticed that the coyotes didn't like it at all for some reason, not sure if its the tinny small speakers or all of the rattling inside the unit when it plays but it really decreased the amount I go out now. Its since been discontinued. Looking at some of the newer units with the bigger cone speakers they want 6-800 USD for them now, kinda soured me on the whole coyote hunting deal.
My coyote kit looks pretty close to that…bolt action 22-50 or 243, basic shooting sticks, fox pro inferno with extra external speaker, 10x42 bino, cheap range finder and my turkey chair. Gets the job done nice and light !

If I can't put it in a pair of 7 pocket hunting pants it's to much for coyotes. Tripod with a mount for the remote. Call on a sling. Turkey chair strapped on my back. Couple drags in a pocket. Spare mag in the other. Done..into a stand and calling within minutes out just as fast. Scope no bigger than 9x ar in my favorite flavor. Range finder on new fields
No binos seems weird to me too, but if I think about it most dogs are spotted with my bare eyes. But not all.
Let’s do a pod cast on a eastern coyote hunting setup! It’s totally different than this set up. And I think would make a great 10 min talk!

Okay, please be kind to the ignorant old man, who is going to ask what you coyote hunters probably think is a stupid question. What do you do with the coyotes you shoot? Back in 1975, as a brand new Army MP at Fort Carson, CO. I was assigned as a Game Warden and Range Patrol MP. One of my supervisors was a big hunter. His name was Larry. His gun of choice back in those days was a Remington 700 in .243 Winchester. His vehicle of choice was an International Scout. One day Larry invited me on a hunt. Traveling down a dirt road at about 40 miles an hour, Larry slams on the brakes and smoothly, but very quickly slips out of the Scout, drops the gun over his left arm, which was on the hood of the Scout and fires. It isn’t until he fires that I see a coyote and that coyote is beat feeting it along the grass line to our right. Because I can see the coyote running I thought he missed with the first shot. Just then Larry shoots again and the coyote, in a full run, goes head over band-box. Once the coyote’s momentum from being in a run stops, it lays dead in the grass. Once Larry is sure the coyote is not moving and doesn’t require a second shot, he briskly walks toward the grass line where the coyote had been. I couldn’t understand why he was going there instead of to where the dead coyote was, until we got there. About a foot back in the grass was a dead coyote. Larry saw both coyotes and shot the one in the grass first, because if he should the one that was at the grass line first, he felt the one in the grass would bolt back into the grass and he wouldn’t be able to shoot it. Since I left Colorado more than 47 years ago, I have never known such an amazing hunter. I know that was a long story to get to why I ask the question, but back then, Larry and the other coyote hunters skinned the coyotes. They wrapped up the pelts and sent them up to factory in Wisconsin that processed the pelts and sold them to a manufacturer that used them as the fur rim on Air Force parkas. Larry and the other hunters, then took the carcass out to open land for the scavengers. Condors loved coyote meat. So back to my question. While I am personally not a hunter, I have great respect for those of you that are and I believe that coyotes and deer needed to be hunted. I personally love venison and have friends, who are hunters who share. As for the coyotes, they are becoming a problem. I live in Cleveland Heights, OH and Coyotes are too common within city limits and are a danger to pets and people, so I strongly believe they need to be controlled. So, What do you do with the coyotes you shoot?
can confirm, minnesota in winter can get very boring lol. not a huge ice fisherman myself, im glad my buddy showed me yote hunting.
