Tony v Khabib is the one. Both were on such legendary runs at the time in the deepest division, such a shame they booked it 5 times but never got it to the finishing line. Fedor v Couture would probably be my #2 biggest dream fight that never took place. Some champ v champ match ups obviously would have been great to see but generally I'm more interested in fights within the same weight class because the guy changing weight classes is disadvantaged. Chuck v Wandy would have been fun to see when they were in their primes. Many match ups are just dreams because rarely two greats are around at the same time so usually one is past their prime. Would have been interesting to see prime horsemeat diet Übereem against Ngannou rather than Econoreem. It's something we as MMA fans don't appreciate enough is how few missed big fights there ultimately are.

Agreed. People need a reminder of the spin and flip flopping he does because I've seen too many comments taking whatever Dana's latest statements are as truth or him "telling it like it is." They say stuff like "what else is he supposed to say?" Or something like "this is just how business works and they have to make money." I don't advocate for anyone to actively hate on him, but the avid defense of what he says and does is unnecessary.

I'm actually happy the UFC weren't able to set Diaz up with a potentially brutal sendoff vs Chimaev. The only things I found upsetting were the situations Jingliang & Holland faced. Jinliang suffered a wrongful decision loss vs a bigger guy. The Holland/Chimaev 'drama' could've been drawn out over a period of time that Holland could've used to improve his game & build himself back up with a few wins. Shame for him to be anywhere near journeymanhood.
I feel like there was more talk for Aldo vs Pettis at 155 I remember feeling hyped AF at the potential of that happening when they were both champ, that and GSP vs Silva.

GSP vs Whittaker would have been so good. GSP has arguably the single best wrestling in the company's history but Whittaker has astounding takedown defence (e.g. Romero fights, fight 2, round 3).
Seeing Jon talk about this fight made me want it even more!! This, and Khabib/Tony are my top 2. But Francis v JJ is #1, bc I'm pretty sure Khabib would have won. And while I think Francis would have won, I'm much much less confident for that one. Jon v Francis would have been amazing 😭😭
Hahahah francis wouldve won, one second to google their career, and francis is just embarrasing compared to jones, lost multiple times, he couldnt even take gane 😂 had to go all 5 rounds for a decision, while jon with ring rust comes in after 3 years and takes 2 minutes with him. francis is a good fighter, but he took the smart way out, he knew if he losed against jon jones, his stock would plommet so hard, and there would be no one offering him that amount of money

Tony v Khabib was scrapped so many times. Cyborg v Nunes 2 was supposed to happen in January of 2020. Bones Jones v Rumble Johnson... they faced off and everything. Those are the 3 fights that I wanted to see. Especially, friggin' Tony Ferguson v Khabib Nurmagmedov, DAGGONE IT!!!

I was really disappointed when I heard the Jones Ngannou fight wasn't gonna happen. It just feels like a huge and iconic match up. I wish Francis had stayed for that one fight and then took off boxing.
He couldn't have done that because the ufc offered him a multifight deal, he would have fought at least 3 more times before leaving the ufc

Brock Lesnar vs. Fedor E. should have happened but Fedor's management team was protecting Fedor way too much. As for GSP vs. Whittaker, i already knew this fight was not going to happen because GSP ran away being scared. He was too scared to fight anyone else in the middleweight division. Khabib vs. Tony should have happened too but this matchup was cursed.
