“Jeopardy!” grew on all of us. I’ve seen all other game shows back in the days, BEFORE “Jeopardy!” came into syndication. A perfect example would be “Tic-Tac-Dough”, billed as everyone’s game of strategy, knowledge and fun. Wink Martindale was the host of that show. Another example would be “The Joker’s Wild”, billed as the game wheere knowledge is king and Lady Luck is queen. Jack Barry hosted that one, and later, Bill Cullen, another gentleman who hosted so many other game shows, including “The Price Is Right” before Bob Barker. The ironic thing was that I saw an episode of “Jeopardy!”from last season when Wink was in the audience applauding.

Final Jeopardy clue: Known as the GOAT of game show hosts - Who is Alex Trebek?
Perfect ❤️
That was great one love that
They should do that on the very final episode of Jeopardy!... if it ever ends
@finger speak I’m sure your comment was awesome-you obviously are a devoted fan❤️ much love from a fellow fan of this wonderful man whom we will all miss so much 👍🏼❣️❤️
He and Bob Barker
Mike was holding back tears while reading this message. You can hear it in his voice. God bless Alex, his family, Mike Richards and the Jeopardy Staff.
God bless everyone at Jeopardy, his family, his millions of fans, such as myself, and above all, Alex Trebek himself. Rest in peace, Alex. We still miss you so much. 😢😢😢
He should have cried while reconsidering letting Rich Fields go from The Price is Right.
For Christmas to be such a joyous holiday, there will not be a dry eye in America between 6:30-8:00 this December 25th.
That's an understatement.
Or Canada
I wonder if Alex will give a farewell speech that day.

The silence at the end spoke volumes, thank you for this, he deserves it!
R.I.P Alex Trebek. GOAT game show host ever
The last episode will air on Christmas Day. With COVID many families will not be going to the movies as usual. I suggest we all sit down and watch the final episode "together" across the nation. It should be the highest viewership for the show.
Movie going on Christmas Day has never been a tradition in my family we actually didn't believe people even did it until my cousin worked at a theatre and she said Christmas was their busiest day. Back on track though we fully intend to have the TV on to watch Alex for the final time, tissues will be ready
Hi Feeber Izer, Movie theaters are actually open on Christmas day? Are you kidding me? I live in Central Florida, I thought it was bad enough that all of the tourist stuff was open on the holidays. I'm old and I had no idea. We never leave the house on holidays figuring everything is closed. I might have to go for a drive this holiday season and see what's open. Thanks for the information. Take care, stay safe, have a nice day. 👵☺️✌️☮️🖖 😷 🙉🙈🙊
And across the World as most countries air Jeopardy! So I hope everyone watches this final episode with Kleenex near y'all, cause this is gonna be a crazy one
BR549, OU812, Boomer They were open on Christmas lol. Probably not so much now because of Covid.
@@whaduzitmatr Going to the movies on Christmas day was never a tradition in my family either. I did it once... but only because my brother had to work that Christmas, and our family was spending part of the day with our Mom's friend's family and some of them were going to a movie, so I tagged along. Our tradition has always been to get together for a turkey dinner, play games, and eat extra dessert.
It’s gonna be so different not hearing him and seeing him out there. Rip Alex you will be missed.
I'm sure Alex wanted to continue the show for generations for the viewers. I didn't watch jeopardy all that much but it is a Nice put together trivia show. Well done hosting Alex. R.I.P my friend
That made me cry. Thank you, Alex Trebek, for normalizing the love of knowledge for generations. I grew up watching Jeopardy every night. It buoyed me through being bullied for being 'too smart' in school. It helped me study for the trivia team in college.
For some reason seeing the set without Alex on it is what makes me the saddest.
His legacy and spirit lives on forever ^

Heck of a role model, that guy. Intelligent and kind. The definition of class. Legend.
This is unbelievably heartbreaking. That place looks weird without him standing. Rest easy legend.
I’ll miss those memories of staying home from school sick and watching jeopardy because it was the only thing on
I like to believe what Alex showed us (or at least me) is that if you find something you love to do, and you breathe it in all along the way, you will in fact leave a legacy that inspires and touches others, without even feeling as if it took any effort to do so. RIP, Alex. You will be greatly missed.
The Trinity of Wholesomeness: Fred Rogers Bob Ross Alex Trebek

You can tell Mr. Richards was barely able to hold himself together at the end. A very classy, and respectful way to say goodbye and thank you to Alex Trebek.
Without Alex, we won’t have many things but the show is still alive.
The world lost a game show icon. RIP Alex. You will never be forgotten. Thank You for all of the memories. #ThankYouAlex
I never thought seeing an empty podium would hurt so much.
I never cry over celebrities, but this one hit me hard. This is the background to my childhood. RIP

Yeah, time flies.
When Alex signs off on the episode that will air on XMas day, I am going to lose it. That episode will be the official end of the Trebek era of Jeopardy. And let's not forget about his tv partner, Johnny Gilbert (great voice). The man is 96 year young. When Johnny reunites with Alex in heavan, that will truly marked the end of one hell of a tv partner and friendship. RIP Alex, you've earned your rest.
I still can't believe that Alex Trebek is no longer with us. He was the reason why "Jeopardy!" is the greatest game show ever. He will always be the greatest game show host of all time. On behalf of myself and millions of fans around the world, Alex, we thank you and miss you so much. May you rest in peace. #weloveyouAlex
