Same here. Since 1984, I watched “Jeopardy!” at the age of 5. I was in Kindergarten at the time. On a comical note, My dad at the time sometimes got mistaken for Alex, especially with the mustache thing.
Alex Trebek really was the G.O.A.T.

He brought life to Jeopardy, the show may never be the same without him. Thank you Alex for 37 seasons of a show we all have grown to love and still will to this day. May you rest in peace.
He's reunited with Merv and Art (the host of Jeopardy originally). As well as Don Pardo, the announcer.
Almost every night during dinner, my family would watch Jeopardy. Mr. Trebek has always been a part of my young life, its gonna be really hard to move on. At least we know he's no longer in pain. We love you Alex!
For us it was on at 7 30 after Wheel of Fortune. I used to watch it with my dad when I was a baby, and I loved running around the house all damn day singing the Think song. My mom even sang it to get me to sleep. The thing that gets me is, he wasn't afraid to die. He had an amazing life, and made peace with the fact that the cancer was terminal but he came into our living rooms every night for 36 years as the host of Jeopardy! and that was enough for all of us. So that's wonderful that he wasn't scared. And yes, he is up there now with God, no more suffering, and probably playing host to all the angels!
WPVI 6abc, A Philadelphia-based TV station has since carried “Jeopardy!” since 1984. Every weeknight whenever the clock struck seven, My parents and I would gather around the TV and play along while watching.
I'm not gonna pretend I was really into Jeopardy at all, but I could tell that Alex Trebek was a class act all the way through. He will be dearly missed.
Met him 47 years ago at CBC Toronto. Was on the TV show Reach for Top and we were lucky enough to be the Toronto champions. He was a very capable, confident, talented and classy guy and made kids who were not used to the red light of the camera so at home. I remember him on Music Hop and all the other TV he did in Canada. Grew up in a home where CBC Radio was the norm and remember him from his various jobs including sitting in for Gerussi on the national morning radio program. That short stint on TV did a lot for the confidence of a shy kid. Glad he came this way. Thoughts to his family. RIP.

The montage of him throughout the years was incredibly wholesome 😭😭 Every weekday I’ve always loved watching Jeopardy w/ my father, as we like to guess out answers and see who is correct. And Alex Trebek never failed to make us smile in every Jeopardy game hosted. I always have a smile whenever I watch each episode, and seeing Alex’s interactions w/ each constant on board was wholesome to me 😭 One of my favorite things I loved in the show was his traveling videos to different countries and landmarks, as he got to see many country landscapes, of course landmarks, and overall aesthetic of the country in his lifetime ❤️ R. As a teacher of English and social studies, I love this game because it stimulates the memory. However, I always admired Alex Trebek, because I saw him as a smart, friendly, kind-hearted, classy, humorous, encouraging, ingenious, but not a pompous, man. I was always glad to hear his words and his humor and encouragement with the contestants. Such a wonderful tribute! He may not have written the clues, but Alex certainly brought a new sense of charm and personality to a show that Merv Griffin was proud to bring to television in 1960s, though Alex did not host until the show returned in 1984.
