PogLoot is a mod that gives Minecraft speedrunners perfect RNG. The times runners have gotten with this mod are insane. In this video I break down 6 different world records in the PogLoot category. Enjoy!

  • I think this is a great mod to practice speedrunning and keeping calm during pressure. It is also arguably more fun than normal speedrunning.

    • As a runner and verifier of pogloot, I agree. PogLoot is very enjoyable with most of the luck factor getting removed from the game, and unlocks new potentials. An example is that 100% of blacksmiths in pogloot have 23 or 24 obsidian, meaning that RSG runners reset for blacksmiths, and new set seed routes are formed along the way. In fact, we are looking for new SSG seeds that work with pogloot because of blacksmith buffing. I can give way more examples, but the video does a good job. I'm also hyped up for a possible speedrun tournament that uses pogloot.

    • Taking RNG out of the picture highlights raw skill, I think the PogLoot category is arguably a better display of talent than normal RSG.

    • @@ShihammeDarc I mean this is the same as ssg, it removes the randomness of not getting iron or loot, ssg just removes the number of resets you have to do and is basically just rsg without the bad seeds.

    • And, even better, with the first two it's not even close. Resistance and Fire Resistance from an enchanted golden apple both last exactly 5 minutes. The PLIRSG record, and even the vanilla FSG record, are both shorter than that.

  • Now your videos are awesome, and so are the runners you feature, but i wanna add just a tiny remark to the "what would speedruns look like if runners had perfect RNG". Since they KNOW they are using pogloot, or playing on a filtered seed, they will play accordingly. Whereas a runner on a classic RSG run would "waste" time by not playing around perfect RNG. For instance, the runners featured in this video don't bother to mine gold blocks in the bastions since they know just a couple of gold blocks will do the trick, therefor saving time, where a runner without pogloot would mine several gold blocks. They could still finish trading very fast, if they get very, very lucky, but even so they would have lost a tiny amount of time. That being said, it is a small detail, and a remark to the way you formulated it in the video, but i kinda wanted to adress it ;) Since you're on top of your game by bringing us these awesome videos, i figured i could try to be a bit nitpicky and actually bring a relevant remark instead of just saying that these are awesome videos ^^

  • I feel like somewhere down the line someone is either going to cheat with this mod and get caught because of their insane luck or someone will actually get that insanely lucky in a run and get accused of using the mod. It’s a great mod though! Really useful for testing out how far you can really push a category

    • well divine just makes sure you get close to the stronghold, the blinds in those wr already come close to it without needing to divine so doing it would just be time loss

    • ​@@karthikharish1564 calculated is more accurate than divine these days since we have stuff like axis calculated and perfect, which might even get you in the stronghold. so it's mainly consistency. but it's easier to just go right after you get your stuff and just hope you're already in a good spot, so this would be the risky play. divine pretty much in the middle of that probably. so it definitely has it's place but calculated is just better in terms of consistency.
