In this video, we expose KZheadrs who have been making FAKE 100 Days Minecraft videos.
This involves some of the biggest Minecraft creators on the platform. It's honestly sad to see the 100 Days trend be misused for easy channel growth.
NOTE: This video is not meant to generate toxicity, it is just to inform about fake Minecraft content being passed off as legitimate by very popular creators.
This is Fake 100 Days Minecraft KZheadrs EXPOSED.

  • Heyo everybody! Thank you all so much for watching this video (unless you just came down to the comment section to read while watching, which is cool). I'll update this pinned comment if I need to clarify anything further than what's already been discussed in the video. Stay respectful, and also maybe like this video to get the algorithm on our side! :)

  • It takes a man like me a month to make a 100 days video, and that's with my man Wisefish editing the videos. It's a lot of work, but it's fun. I think if some of the people who were faking it put the time in to do the full thing, they may actually enjoy it. I like getting to make little stories and share goofy clips. As for the translations, I'm almost sure every single 100 days I've done has been ripped. I've also seen a few videos where people have gone through, and shot for shot recreated some of my videos. My man, that HAD to have been more work than just recording your own.

    • Man, I didn't expect to see you here :D That's something I should've mentioned in the video, the storytelling aspect of 100 Days. When a KZheadr rapidly mass produces 100 Days, they miss out on creating a fleshed out narrative that makes the video more special.

      @FizzyBanger@FizzyBanger2 жыл бұрын
  • I definitely agree with you that some are faking it for views, but it is extremely doable to upload a 100 days every week. 100 days is 33 hours, but only if you don’t sleep during the in-game nights, if you sleep every night it’s only 18 hours, so for me an average 100 days takes 20-22 hours to record, usually about 4 sessions across 4 days. If I full on go for it I can record one in 3 days (I did 100 days twice a week one week, it nearly killed me 😂). Then once it’s recorded it’s probably about 8-10 hours of editing, which someone else does for me, then I just go through edit in an intro, add music, and check everything’s fine, which takes a couple of hours. So with more than one person in a team it’s doable, but if I was editing it myself, obviously once a week is ridiculously hard work. And you can usually tell if it’s fake because they achieve barely anything in 100 days lol

    @SB737@SB7372 жыл бұрын
    • This is actually really insightful. I went in on this video with the main idea that 100 Days videos were hard to upload very often due to time constraints. Hearing from someone with experience in making 100 Days is definitely making me think more about the channels I picked out for this commentary.

  • Just came across this video and I couldn't agree more. The biggest issue I have with fake 100 Days is how it pollutes the search results and makes it a lot more difficult for legitimate 100 Days to grow. It also paints other 100 Days content in a bad light. If theres hundreds of fake videos, new viewers will just assume that this is the trend, a garbage take with no legitimacy. I only see fake videos harming this trend yet it seems like it has no consequences on those channels. It takes me roughly a month to come up with a modpack/idea, record it, edit it and its a fun time telling a story and making a quality product. Just seems so soulless to fake it all and a lot more work, unless they dont care if they get called out or get "in trouble"?

    @Skyes@Skyes2 жыл бұрын
    • Very true, oversaturation of fake 100 Days content does have an effect on the overall trend. It does increase competitiveness, which might be healthy for more innovation on the trend, but at the rate at which fake content is being pumped out, who knows what could happen.

  • Honestly ya’ll are doing it all wrong. I can actually record a 100 days video in about 5 hours as I only play about 25 days but because of my extremely fast wrists and elbows I can build much faster than the average player. Then I send off the footage to 13 video editors who get it finished in about 3 hours. All in all, it takes about a day. Then I take a month off, and upload the video somewhere at the end of my break whenever I’m ready. I’m living the life and you should too. My advice? Start trainin those wrists and elbows.

  • Yeah I remember when LTN acknowledged when he tried to trademark “100 Days” survival videos. Not many creators are willing to admit when they messed up. At the same time I do like how he called out the people who put so little effort into it when there are creators (and their editors if they have them) who bust their arses making content for people to watch on a platform that’s oversaturated with faked low effort rubbish.

  • Just had someone mention this video to me and I 100% agree, it REALLY bothers me when people don't put in the real work. It takes me and my editor about 100 hours to make each of these big videos, between my recording time, their editing time, and my doing VO/ReplayMod/Effects. Seeing people crank out fake videos, especially creators with a huge fanbase, cheapens that effort and honestly just really makes it harder to be an honest creator. Good video.

  • As someone who has made 100 day videos and done all the editing myself - I can say that it takes a LONG time to make a legit one. Even when sleeping a lot it's still not easy, and I always felt bad sleeping too much because I knew that it was just eliminating time that I could have spent doing cool stuff. I also had one of my ideas stolen and made into a video that was most likely faked so that was fun. Eventually my 100 day videos fell out of the algorithm, so I just kinda stopped making them at a certain point. Not 100% sure what caused the shift, but either way it was fun while it lasted.

  • Jerome played my modpack somewhat recently (Valhelsia 3 - he titled it something like "I survived 100 days as a Viking", which was a weird choice, since it seems they were basing that entirely off Valhelsia and Valhalla sounding similar). It was pretty apparent that they hadn't played for all that long, since there was next to no normal progression even at the end. One thing that the comments section noticed is that we have a day count on the screen in the pack (below the minimap), and his was locked on day 1 the entire time, since they had the day/night cycle turned off entirely, freezing the time to mid-afternoon. I'm pretty confident that they were using the /locate command to find our custom structures instantly too, since some pretty rare ones showed up in quick succession without any other progression in-between finding them. It's kinda weird getting to the end of the "100 days" and seeing what looked like a day one starter house and no exploration of dimensions other than the overworld - if I had to guess I'd say they recorded it in a single session, and not a lengthy one. I'm kinda torn on that video - on one hand I appreciated the showcase of our modpack and the custom work that we've created for it, but on the other I'm really not a fan of the dishonesty nor how shallow it makes the videos feel. A genuine "100 days" video would look very different, and I'd be extremely grateful to see somebody do it one day.

One thing I noticed is that it suddenly jumps to day 45 and day 60 as well, and they're all wearing the same clothes the entire time and never sound tired. I've streamed for over 12 hours straight, and it's incredibly draining. And the complete lack of progress is something else entirely. Even if all I did was derp around and explore for 60 days, I'd have so many double chests full of loot, and be covered in diamonds. The most painful part, though, was watching them throw coal into a heat generator.

Only reason I say this is because I'm aware of plenty channels that will record a lot of content that is time consuming for a month, and then edit that content over time and then upload them in rapid succession later on while uploading shorter, less time consuming videos between those upload sprees Basically, for anyone wanting to make sure the youtuber they're checking out is legit or not, make sure to look at all the factors and not just a single one, just like Fizzy looked at the upload schedule AND the video quality + the consistency of the days and progress speed and such

I was a big fan of JeromeASF, BajanCanadian, NoochM, etc. when they ran their Call of Duty channel, ASF, and in the beginning with their Minecraft content. Seeing the ones who are still around on KZhead go from genuine content creators who gained lots of success over the years to turning into fake content mills/factories of videos like this, as an attempt to save their declining and once relevant careers instead of doing so in a better way, is saddening. I would much prefer if they retired on top, release special big videos every few months instead, or shift their content into something else. ZexyZek is a prime example on how to make that change. • I have not done a 100 day challenge, but I do have experience with editing, and with Minecraft. A Minecraft day lasts 20 minutes, so 100 days is 2000 minutes, or roughly 33 hours. Those 33 hours are literally the shortest this can take to make even if you were able to edit it all together on the fly. You have to review the footage, and edit together what you think is the best sample of it. Having to turn 2000 minutes into just 20 requires a lot of careful consideration as to what needs to be in the videos. This step can easily take longer then the amount of time you spend recording. It seems like a project like this would take about 60 to 70 hours of work , or 8 or 9 full work days. That's if you treat it as a full time job, and work on no other projects. I guess if you had an editor worked in parallel, processing old footage While you make the new content, you could cut this time down, but it would still take 4 or 5 work days at the very least. You could do it faster if you crunch, but that doesn't seem too sustainable long term.
