Fun fact about Portal: chamber 14 is notorious for being, ya' know, bloody easy to speedrun. Valve actually noticed that from playtesting and let the "ninja solution" stay in because it "arguable [took] more skill than solving the puzzle properly". So, uhh, a good way to design puzzles is to have people test it and if the unintended solution is really smart to just leave it in, it congratulates the people who take the time to think through everything.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, you have YandereDev removing quick solutions that only a handful of people found (and the removal method removes a player's willing suspense of disbelief).

This video outlines the problems programmers face pretty well. You put in 3 options: x, y and z. The user needs to find out which one to use. It’s painfully obvious to you that you need to choose x. The user chooses A, which is a glitch in a specific circumstance you would never have dreamed of, and breaks everything.

You could start a whole series just on solving user puzzels. Don't underestimate the interest this would generate. People would probably love seeing you break their puzzles, and of course a series like this would prompt more puzzle creators to make even higher quality puzzles. Even if it's just a bunch of 5 minute videos for each puzzle, I bet people would love it. You've really tapped into something special here, you may very well be able to catalyze a scattered community into a very energized and focused trend.
Bro that’s a genus idea
Yeah it’s a perfect idea
And i know just the way for him to do it.. He'll use *F5*, *You see* *using F5* *gives him* *a whole new* *perspective* *and this joke is overused*
Obviously this guy already has an existing community but the things that his community rallies around are always the puzzle-solving videos and his storytelling style has been a huge hit. If he doesn't try to capitalize on it I feel like it's a huge missed opportunity. I see people excitedly creating levels the same way they create levels for Mario maker streamers.

just wait until kenadian goes to an actual escape room and realizes that they have rules too
Bruh like what rules?
@@kastro7077 dont break stuff
There's a massive difference in judgement there. An escape room in a video game is, well, in a video game. Video games have their own set of laws that you cannot disobey without changing the game itself, meaning you can literally just design it with them in mind. Especially if you're going to use Minecraft's mechanics anyway. You can make stuff unbreakable and whatnot. Escape rooms in real life are bound to real life's laws, meaning that anything you can do in real life, you can do to that escape room.
@@Nashi_likes_games Like use F5?
@@bullworthless You cannot prevent a player from using F5 as it's an inherent part of the game, so that's a law that players can use the third person cam.
That last puzzle room was awesome, especially with all of the thought being put into it and testing your knowledge of the actual game and the glitches in the game, leaving no other way to progress than the intended way. I would never have known any of these glitches but that is a 1,000/10, well done to the creator 👏
thanks ;p
I was completely blown away
the “intended answer” to the deepslate stair room was to create a cobble gen and then push it with the piston
The escape room is made out of bedrock. NOT DIRT
I think there being these other solutions is awesome tho. I think it’s cool that there isn’t just one single solution for them, and it’s up to the player to figure something out themselves, even if it’s different than intended
I think having rules is fine. Escape Rooms are Escape Rooms, not Prison Cells. I mean if I go into an Escape Room irl, I am not allowed to destroy the scenery or I will just get thrown out (which is not the same as beating it)
minecraft isn't irl, and prison cells have rules too
@@apollo1694and? You could hack a game or use cheats to skip to the end, but that doesn’t mean you beat the game. A game is defined by its rules, so ignoring them just means you never played in the first place

@@dzuchun How the heck do you get fooled by this?
for anybody wondering the crawling animation is weird under the ghost block door because its only client side. Ghost blocks are blocks that the client thinks exist, but don't, so the client behaves like they are there, but the server knows they aren't, so when you go into crawl, you're not actually crawling according to the game server, but your client thinks you are. Which is why movement mechanics are weird, the game is forcing you to where you should be, since you aren't crawling, but your camera is where it would be if you were crawling. technical minecraft is fun, i promise.
Why are you gyes watching the video? Just use F5 so you can go behind the video, break the fourth wall and finish it

Ok, so for the part where you have to cross a huge gap with them stairs getting waterlogged, it's quite simple and I learned that from a streamer. First of all, lava cannot get waterlogged on any block by right clicking. So now, your gonna place the lava, jump in it and slowly make your way towards the end by quitting and rejoining the game since there is a little window when joining where you can't get damage from lava. And at the end tower up with the blocks we have However, I DO believe he let us being able to collect the water in case we didnt know about that. You're Welcome :)
