  • for the end portal you could have used the 20w14 ∞ snapshot (1.16 i think.) it was an "update" by april fools that means that when you drop the book and quill in a nether portal if that book had something written it would create a random dimension in accordance with what it was written in the book, creating infinite dimensions for minecraft, in one of these dimensions if you used the words "abatised redivides" you would be teleported directly to the End through the nether portal. Just a tip btw.

    • I'm 100% just pulling this explanation out of my ass, but it's possible that copied books might not fill up the memory the same as manually typed books. You know, seeing as there's a distinction between the types. If not, then whoopsie daisies, but that makes sense to me. Maybe copied books are just references to the original copy stored in memory somewhere? Dunno. EDIT: Apparently I'm wrong, thanks to the few people for letting me know. Apparently each book stores their own seperate NBT data within their own itemstack, so as long as your copied / shadowed items are 1-per-slot, they'll all work for the chunk overloading.

  • For people who liked this, I recommend Pinu’s one block (non-regenerating)series that is similar. It’s not in hardcore, but they don’t even start with a bonus chest and it’s pretty cool.

    • Yeah I definitely recommend it! He only has a grass block at the start, spawning mobs by jumping off. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else do it the way he did it

  • For those who don't know how to/don't want to switch versions to get the gold, you don't have to: drowned will drop copper. Use the copper to make a lightning rod and put it in a pen with some pigs. Wait for lightning, and the pigs will be turned into zombie-piglins. You can then farm them for gold. Edit: I think in this situation he didn't have grass for the pigs to spawn on, but if you're doing a superflat world or something like that, this works.

  • Fun fact: if you don't want to break your pinky finger just enable crouch toggling in the accessibility settings, when enabled instead of crouching when holding it pressing shift once will make you crouch and pressing shift a second time makes you uncrouch, no need to hold the shift key

    • pretty sure its easier to use item shadowing as it would take far less time use to that due to not needed to get the materials for the books and gather the shulkers. its also somewhat exponential allowing you to create 432 books per dupe.

  • you should see Pinu's one block challenge series. Its actually insanely impressive what he does and the dedication he has. He literally started on ONE grass block and has progessed into the nether and beyond Its extermely interesting what he did and I'd 100% reccomend watching it.

    • but he proved that it wasn't possible. He used a glitch to spawn a chunk of the world back in -- so it was only possible using 1 block + 1 entire chunk. Impressive game knowledge up to the moon exploit, sure, but imo as soon as you change the game version you've forfeited the challenge. You might as well manipulate the code yourself to get whatever you need.

  • Really cool tech with item shadowing and dungeon forcing but you could've downgraded to the infinite dimensions update, write either "Blue" "Red" or "Green" in a book and throw it into your nether portal. Then you can throw your eyes of ender and go to the stronghold and beat the game that way. Amazing vid though!

  • I did a challenge like this a year back but I started on the standard skyblock island with no more than a lava bucket and an ice block and I discarded the bucket right after making the generator (I did spawn with a tree because I'm not a masochist) I went on for like 50 hours on that world and I made a slime farm and was about to make a gold farm but I needed magma blocks then tried making a magma cube and for that I needed wither roses so I went to make a wither skeleton farm but apparently inside the whole 1024 chunk perimeter the map I originally used as a template did not have a single fortress bounding box, and the only one there was was inside newly generated chunks with... blocks in it. and so I gave up on the world after spending 60 hours making farms for basically everything I could all because there wasn't a bounding box I tried carpet mod to spawn structures in but it doesn't spawn them with the bounding box so it's useless if anyone knows how to generate a structure bounding box I'd love to hear it

  • when you were stuck and filling up books you could've went back to the 1.16 april fools update which lets you go to custom dimensions and you would've gotten an end portal from that which is wayyyy easier than whatever you did
