  • The premise of sentient NPCs is always a f[bleep]ing dystopia, when you think of it, no matter how much man-candy they coat it with. Most of my inner monologue during the movie was some variation of "creating an entire person with the capacity of independent thought in a fake world they can't escape but have the capacity of knowing their own fakeness, and spreading that capacity, and all this because you couldn't spit it out to the girl you liked - that's pretty fucking cruel."
