A perfect example of how genuinely kind and thoughtful person Norm was 8:20 he notices everyone ignoring Nick Swardson. To nobody's fault. Poor Nick just doesn't have the camaraderie with the group because they all have a long history together, and he's newer. Yet, Norm gives Nick his time to shine, and they all realize and follow suit.

That was the one moment we saw Norm step out of his act and it was absolutely beautiful. His heart was pure gold. I met him in LA and seen him several times in my city, and he basically treated my spouse and I the same way, courteous, friendly, caring. We didn’t annoy him at all, he was with his elderly mother and sat right next to us. In fact; we didn’t even say a thing, he reached out to us when he noticed I could barely keep my eyes off him 😂 top 5 GOAT comedian and even finer human being. Rip

I think the biggest consolation for someone who absolutely loves the comedy world and thought Norm was one of the very best of all time, is getting to see how respected and loved he was by other comedians. A lot of great comedians have passed, and a lot of people have said how much they were influenced or how much they loved them, but I don't think anyone has been shown as much love as Norm has. I really hope he knew that he deserves a spot in the Mount Rushmore of comedians.

I agree with that one! Both Carson and Letterman also did that same thing and just let them loose. Conan is very much cut from the same cloth as those two.
He is so far ahead of the other current talk show hosts it's ridiculous
@Moose Bolton Ferguson was incredible
@@epictetus9221 he gets forgotten too much. He just had conversations with people. Guy is so damn quick.
2:40 right where you should be you hack
All of these stories about Norm suggest that a man knowing he had cancer, just wanted to hang out with his boys. It's pretty fuc*ing sweet.
Fucking hell that hit hard. None of them knew, so many stories about how he would be surprised and disappointed that people wouldn't just hang for whatever reason too. No fucking wonder. Fuck.
Sixty nine likes. Huhuh. But also quite sad for the reasons you mentioned. He just wanted company with the boys.
he got paid a lot of money. you think they do shows for free just because they "want to hang out with his boys"?
@@1qwertyrewq1 you know you can make money in life and also want to hang out? Or if you were a millionaire would you just sit in a room doing nothing?
@@1qwertyrewq1 Did you not hear Spade's story? Norm was in fact not made of money and got paid shit for the tour. He also had to suck Spade off for a jacket.
Rewatching Spade talk about how Norm always wanted to hang with him at end of the day hits alot differently knowing now he was keeping his health issues private. He must have really loved Spade.
Only Norm could make a, "I played Frank" line funny. Rest in peace Normie. 1:29
100%… Norm is the goat of goats
Adams laugh in response cured my depression for a moment lol
I've heard from a good authority, he stole that line from another fellow that would exclaim " I played Norm".
Norm acknowledging Nick is the best part. That’s a man right there
And then he throws off Nick's timing by interrupting
All of these lines are gold but somehow “I wake up the rooster” will always be my favorite 😂
i was just thinking that....
Someone should have come back with "Because you spent the whole night choking the chicken."
The face he makes after that kills me
It’s worth mentioning when you have really good comedians in one spot that someone like Andy Richter will wait super patiently for his one perfect moment to say one line and it absolutely pays off. “Breakfast is from my act!” Lol
He's a pro
That was one of Andy’s best attributes: patience. That one line was perfect.
Andy put the Strawberry topping on the pancakes with that one!
That's what separates the great Swedish-German, Andy Richter, from a hack like rob Schneider
Yeah, but too bad Andy is such a bad sport and hates Norm for his prior jokes about him. Richter is one I used to like, but now he virtue signals and tries too hard to be woke. He's been disappointing to see him be that way.
“It’s very famous for difficult people to bomb” “what’re you on acid?” 5:45 the absolute best interaction, no contest
I feel like that went over most people's head in the audience
I love to rewind it several times to watch each persons reaction when they realize what’s going on. It’s such a “ wait for it…” moment. Then, when conan corrects it, hearing Sandlers dumb little laugh is icing on that cake. Whatever they were going to talk about went right out the window and became the Norm segment for all of them. It’s like a jedi mind trick. Awesome.
Swardson died!
So sharp and so fast and plays it like the dumbest person in the room
'I wake up so early, I wake up the rooster"
Roooooster
Norms act got so much better as he got older as he finally became the senile uncle he always wanted to be. He would've only gotten funnier as the years went on. RIP
That’s what sucks he was getting even funnier with age
Some people are born to be old funny feckers!
He was always great.
Well said. We got gypped out of having Norm around. I'll never stop missing him.
I missed norm, I still miss him, but I also missed him before.
Makes Rob Schneider the butt of the joke 😂
I'll never stop missing Norm. EVER
This clip hits home
My husband gets jealous of all my deep dives into norm clips. I will never get overhim being gone either.
Norm had presence. He's sitting in the back and manages to make everything else the background
"8:00 pm is little late, news is on." Tears squirting out of my eyes, I so lost it. The payoff is worth the LONG set up. Norm = Comical Genius
I love the beginning when Norm says he was out front of the hotel with a sandwich sign... It was so quick and sly, that I think only Sandler noticed a few heartbeats later.
Sammich
Squirting
I love how he's surrounded by guys who have all each starred in numerous successful movies & the entire interview ends up being about Norm 👏😎
David Spade said that during this tour, Norm told all the others that he’s the best comedian in that group. And Spade said that their response was always, “yep that’s pretty much true.”
❤
But the worst actor ! 😂
There goes Norm MacDonald, the best that ever was.
Norm was a master of comic timing. I still remember the anecdote he spins when he's talking to Seinfeld in "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee'. He's talking about watching an old episode of Kojak and when the punchline hits, Jerry almost slides out of restaurant seat and on to the floor. Never seen Jerry laugh that hard. Can't blame him, I lost it too-- it was so, so funny.
E I E I O
What an unimaginably huge compliment to Norm that all of these guys have an imitation of him. They’re basically acknowledging that he’s the greatest.
He was a real person. Nothing against Hollywood but he was cut from a different cloth. Rip Norm 🙏 🕊 ☮
I've got a lot against Hollywood.
I’ve got a lot against pedal file Hollywood too
You don’t like when they file their pedals?
@@Rowsy91 lol, KZhead doesn’t allow that word because they don’t want people finding out many of the richest and most highly respected people in the world are such.
In an industry of fake people trying to be forever young, he was genuine. And if anything, he accelerated his aging 😂😂😂
Bless Rob. Being the whipping boy is a hard job
I had actually never seen this extended version of this segment, particularly the part where that old chunk of coal roasts Schneider
Yeah... pre-Internet 2.0 I always felt like a freak laughing at the jokes that didn't make people laugh on "Weekend Update" or being the only one who cared that Norm was the talking dog on "Dr. Doolittle"... Then I started seeing that he was the "comedian's comedian" type of thing when Internet became popular... and now, after his passing, it makes me happy to see A LOT of Norm fans talking about him, but not just casual fans but people who know Norm's work and understand his sensibility.
"I had the idea for breakfast" truely the GOAT. I miss you already 👑😍
Thanks for keeping Norm MacDonald’s memory alive. We miss ya Norm…. no one tells a story like you do….
How is it we have better quality video of the Hindenburg blowing up, than we do of TV from 10 years ago?
I have seen a much better version of this.
If it weren't for the audio track I'd have no idea which pixel was Norm. RIP big guy.
With Norm, the punchline was never as important as the journey towards it. He made it seem effortless.
I love how this entire set revolves around Norm.
Because it's supposed to be comedy
They all laugh like little kids at norm. He is REALLY that funny..
Grateful to have shared the same planet with Norm and even more grateful to know just what a genius he is.
Was he good at math or something
@@nayannbg6314Lol very much a norm line
Love the quality. Almost 12p.
They all had to get together to try to keep up with Norm. Also, good on Andy for complimenting Norm to bring the energy back up
That Swedish German is a good egg
Love how despite having all of these talents here the focus immediately goes to norm and all other peoples norm stories. He commanded that much of a presence.
"I had the idea for breakfast!" 😂
Dam ,the respect they all had it turned into the Norm show.R.i.p big guy.
Kind of Norm to bring Nick into the conversation
That was, great to have him share the spot light
He did that to Schneider too
Minnesotans are honorary Canadians, so....bros.
Norm was the biggest mensch on the show. High intelligence, high empathy, high talent. Painfully missed by connoisseurs of comedy everywhere.
"I get nervous with Normy behind me" pretty much sums him up. You never know what was going to come out but you knew it was coming.
glad to finally be able to see this in high definition
Thanks to Netflix we will never see the possibly best ever Joe Rogan interview.
Meanwhile they are spouting out crap daily..no soul

Norm respected Rob. If he said that it was a joke.

It's true whether he said it or not
@jakubcygan8265 yeah, it was from a Vanity Fair article around 2008.
Ya done good, you ol' chunk of coal! And you continue to be inspiring. Rest Easy Norm.
I love you, Norm, R.I.P.
There will never be another Norm. That makes his passing even harder.
Got anymore pixels?
the "are you on acid" is not only an incredibly smart and quick comeback but the delivery is something only Norm could do, fucking hilarious
We haven’t heard from our friend Nick Swardson!! What a good guy
Norm is by far the funniest one there
What a cool group of guys. All so funny. 🎉
Conan is the best late night host and I'm glad Norm was able to do his work on the show.
Norm's absolute best work was done on Conan. That's where he did the moth joke and the Courtney Thorne Smith interview.
Norm mcdonald, your favorite comedians- favorite comedian.
Right after Schneider says "Conan, I just realized I'm basically in the audience", the camera changes and you see Andy Richter sitting way out in left field.
It’s mad how far ahead of everyone else he was really genius
Calling them all comedians, he’s different league.
@@jeremyandrews7064he is so different never laughed at anyone so much in my life
As a standup comedian, certainly. But let’s not take away from Sandler. He’s as big as it gets in comedy more generally and he very much deserves it.
I can watch anything involving Norm. Guys so uniquely funny. What a legend, God bless ‘em.
Sit in the back. Steal the show.
Thanks Norm. You always brought a smile to my face man. Sadly missed.
I love how no matter who Norm is on a show with, he always somehow does most of the talking 😂 and it’s usually because the host, and everyone else all banter and tell their funny Norm stories 😂❤ Miss him so much
I wish I appreciated Norm more when he was still here. Legend.
The only person more underrated than Norman here is Andy.
Andy doesn't want any love. That's why he has to be held down by big, strong men.
"Underrated?" Tributes from every major media outlet; headlined five different network shows; over one-million "Twitter" followers; "NYT" best-selling author. For the past 30-years: "Who's this 'Norm MacDonald' guy?!" (Said no major comedian ever.)
Norm is pretty much universally revered
I think Nick is pretty underrated
The Scottish Gypsy's share a similar sense of humour with the Swedish German's.
I cry sometimes when I really think about all of the humor that has been lost recently. I hope Norm is somewhere with Gilbert and Saget just shitting on us for caring about them.
Norm is the best shame we lost a legend in what seemed prematurely but he left us all special memories
Norm is the boss. Always “knew of him” but only started discovering his body of work a month ago. How amazing is that? I’m fortunate because he’s a genius I never expected to discover and his comic art speaks directly to me as it does to so many millions of people. There’s hope for the world, friends. I’m in good company, liking Norm Macdonald. Real good company.
He has made me laugh for decades, and over the past few years, never as much as playing a pigeon.
Rest Easy Norm...❤
4:25 such an amazing joke, he sets it up and delivers it perfectly
6:59 “we’ll talk, have some fun, play games…” Can’t help getting a twinge in my heart, knowing how limited his time was.
Love how they came to promote a movie. They didn't really mention it. It just turned into Norm story time. You could tell they love one another. Miss you, Normie
Amazing 5 well known great comedians. Norm was the comedians favorite comedian. Gonna miss that guy.
" haven't heard from nick swardson" norm passing the ball, he was so unselfish if you look for it. Miss that guy.
Man imma miss that dude
God i love how there all just showing how much they appreciate norms sense of humor
Norm will be remembered long after the others.
Can you imagine sitting and talking with these fellas! My face would hurt from laughter!
The way he shuts down schieder 😂😂😂
That "8 o'clock's no good" bit killed me. It's the wind-up to the joke that Norm was so damn good at. Even at a young age he was an old man making you wait patiently while he explained something, but once he got to the end, for one reason or another you were going to be laughing.
RIP big man !! Fellow Canadian here wishing you God Speed brother
I have watched Norms roast of Bob Saget at least 50 times. The end never fails to choke me up.
There will NEVER,...EVER, ...EVER be anyone like Norm.
Rob Schneider belongs in the audience.
I like how norm was barley in grown ups and he still came to the promos
Norm is so much fun
Norm is endlessly Norm. Love him.
I’ve watched this about 3 or 4 times over the years and it still cracks me up every time.
I’ve never seen Norm not be the most charismatic person in the room.......& l watch anything with him on it.
Norm was great and I’m glad I recognized this when he was alive.
By golly, I think this Norm fellow is really going places in life. What a great storyteller of our generation.
Man how come I never saw this out of thousands of Conan episodes!
You SHOULD be nervous-when Norm MacDonald is behind you.
oh this makes my heart glad. what a gift to all of us was Norm🙏❤
God everyone misses him so much, he was the best
Norm just talks in riddles and jokes. I don’t think I could have a conversation with him I would just be geekin the whole time
4:08 Andy Richter (The Swedish-German) nailed it.
I love how the only laugh Rob Schneider got was by telling one of Norm’s jokes. He literally just tried to interject during the whole interview and made it was less funny
You need to sneak some plutonium into Robs food so he gets cancer just like Norm and you can win YT
I could listen to this for hours and hours
Norm will be missed. One of the greats.
I didn’t even know he was sick
RIP My friend, much obliged for your insight, your smile will never be forgotten.
Rob: “I just realized that I’m in the audience.” As you fucking should be.
Laughed all the way through it! Thank you!
Norm was a class act putting Nick on like that. RIP Norm
