I tried to give her a little personality instead of just simply doing the commands or having quick confirmations. With ElevenLabs, your only limit is your own imagination. You can have any kind of voice say whatever you want.

Thanks for sharing this man. My dad has MS we went though a tonne of trial and error with the Xbox adaptive controller to try and get him gaming again but his motor skills weren’t there for specific things. Mixing in voice attack I think we might actually get there.
It is a struggle. Some days are better than others though.

Manual dial you might miss at some point, with voice command, the AI will never miss. Anyway, if people want to cheat by removing key part of the game, it's up to them.

After 300 hours, i rarely make any mistakes at strats, so why is that cheating, if im already faster than she, plus one extra, i think that on combat its still easier to put codes manuały.

I really like that this could help people with disabilities have fun and get immersed in the game.
I use Voiceattack with similar results. Super fun and feels like I'm actually interacting with my ship. The struggles of typing the stratagem are replaced by saying the exact name of it 😊
I've tried voice attack and it's great, especially if mixed with push to talk so you don't drive squadmatss crazy
@@mjellings - I guess you use a separate key for push to talk then for stratagems? This can be tricky during very intense battles to have to hold down a separate key while you speak, and also use the movement keys. Wish there was a better way when using in-game chat, since push-to-mute has static feedback issues right now.
@@Globespy Totally agree, I've moved to push to talk using the V key as that seems close(ish). What I'm going to look for is a mouse with more buttons on it so I can pogram one of those to push to talk. I currently have stim and dive bound to my back/forward mouse buttons, so need something with more or I need to rebind the middle mouse button possibly.

@@CLxJames Nearly 9 years, pretty lucky all things considered. My initial attack made me go blind for about a week and it felt like I had a stroke but recovered more less 100%. Tysebri is still working a charm, been jc positive and somehow went back to negative and I maintain mostly a normal life. It's just those small moments that stick out sometimes where I feel my body is a little bit laggy but usually that goes away after a bit of rest. How about you?
@@oricvinton77 that’s rough, I’m basically the same way right now. Just feel randomly bogged down and tired, hands and feet go numb from time to time. I’m on Tysabri too. It started summer of 2016. My feet were numb for a week. Then the numbness creeped up to include my calves, then the rest of my legs. My first flare up lasted three weeks, with the numbness progressively getting worse. I went to the ER because “what the hell is going on with me?”. They asked the usual questions (tweak your back? Pull a muscle? Ate something different?) and eventually just sent me home. Magically my body went back to normal a few days later Then in the Fall of 2016, I started to notice if I look at things that are far away, I could see two of them. As if a more ethereal image of the object was slightly above and to the left of the actual object. I went to an optometrist and she gave me glasses to align my vision Those worked for maybe a week and then even with them on I had double vision. “Something’s wrong. I’m sending you to a neuropthalmalogist” They did some tests. Spent half a day there. Then I sat alone in a room for maybe 15 minutes and the doctor walks back in “I don’t care what you thought you were going to do today but what you are going to do instead is get an MRI” And then presto, the answer finally came
@@CLxJames Pretty much the same time as me then, it seems to be getting more common nowadays. Had the exact double vision as well for ages like two or even three of the same words slightly off with but mine was usually slightly below the original , I kinda already knew I had some kinda neurological issue before my symptom appeared because I used to have chronic migraines a couple years before the initial onset of the MS symptoms. Had a CT done at the time and they discovered about a dozen "hyper intensive lesions" but because headaches and migraines aren't symptoms of MS they just told me its "normal" and not to worry about the holes that had formed in my head. My initial onset was rapid, got up around 8am that morning feeling normal, by 10am I remember I was feeling "tingly" which was in hindsight a whole lot like a very light case of the pins and needles. By about midday I realized I was starting to feel really numb in the face and my left arm. At this point I determined that I must be having a stroke or heart attack and left for the hospital. Dunno if it was due to the stress or something but my vision went from perfect to almost nothing on that trip to the hospital. Drove myself but think I really only just managed to get into the ER before everything just visually became a blurry mess. They hooked me up on steroids and Immunosuppressants after I told them about the hyper intensive lesions and my body more or less recovered to normality over the week. Had that after image vision and it probably hung around for a couple of years, still notice it from time to time even now but it's not so bad anymore. Think I may have just gotten used to it. Anyway best of luck and health to you, and the AVA Ai assistant looks awesome. Might try chucking something together myself.

Been using voice attack for this since the first helldivers. As someone that loves active games like this, but gets overwhelmed very easily in stressful situations in games, having a voice command for strategems so I don't mess up the code 6 times in a row, is an absoloute godsend, and as an added bonus, my friends always know what I'm throwing before I even get the throw out. I don't have the rather awesome level of 'command and response' you've got going on here, though. Great work on making it feel natural. Its great for games with a lot of controls, such as Elite Dangerous, too.

I've tried this before and it wasn't consistent for me. Your tip on making it pause so it would register in-game might make me try it again. Either way, I love the humorous replies you give you Ava. Great work. Maybe make the files/directory tree available to ones who will donate to you some democracy requisition slips (aka money). Haha I love Helldivers 2. Got me back into gaming from a 2-year pause.
I don't want money. I want people to have fun (and for anyone else has a disability or illness that keeps them from reliably performing Stratagems) Once it's done, once all the kinks are out, I plan on hosting the profile and Sounds folder somewhere. I will also make an extensive tutorial to cover what you will need to put where to get it to work for you

I like Ava’s responses and the commands. Reminds me of the ones HCS Voice packs has made, though they use some big names in sci-if for the voices, like Brian Blessed and Michael Dorn. However, most of their voice lines aren’t specifically HellDivers related. Highly recommend them for Elite Dangerous, Star Citizen, SWS, Flight simulator and NMS. Of course it all uses VA

@@CLxJames I definitely think both your AVA and HCs’ voice packs have personality. I definitely like Ava having HD2 focused lines a bit better,. I got the impression that HCS may record some new lines with those celebrities again soon for both their ED/SC packs and HD2. I’ll have to ask the team there, as I have a good rapport with them

I plan on making some finishing touches: getting all Stratagems, tweaking some code structuring, removing pauses and instead making her confirmations go off button press (RT / Left-Click / whatever button you use to throw the beacon) When I get all that done, I’ll compile it all and put it somewhere for people to take

This is an awesome idea and super helpful for not just helldivers. Has been really great. I tested it out and im going to definitely get the paid version, but it is nice that there is a free version to test it out and play with. So you can try before you buy.

This is amazing! Do you have a document detailing the input delays you're using to program the strategems? And maybe the list of phrases that you are using for each?
I have changed from using pauses to having the "Sent" comment triggered by pressing the button that throws the stratagem beacon (Right Trigger, Left Click, etc) As far as the profile and Sounds folder, I'll have it hosted somewhere for people to grab when I am done with everything

Eventually yes. I’m a bit of a perfectionist, so I don’t want to put something incomplete out in the wild I was experimenting earlier today. I got her to say the voice lines after I manually put in the stratagem code. However, I did a very quick proof of concept. Sloppy coding. As such, if I tried to do the same method with other stratagems with similar codes then it gets a bit messy Chances are I will have to create a huge manual stratagem command, then using a long list of If->Then->Else statements break up the different stratagems so they don’t run over one another The other problem is when manually doing the stratagems, if you don’t complete the sequence then Voice Attack will just stay in that command, waiting for it to complete and won’t let you do any other commands. I’m sure there is some sort of option that can fix that. Or just code it better

I like this as an accessibility tool. Given that I already see players using code input macros, this just creates an aid for some gamers in an immersive format.
I know literally nothing about commands/programing, I have now found my new hobby.
It’s pretty intuitive once you get the hang of it. VoiceAttack isn’t that complicated

I decided to check out eleven labs myself, and from my miniscule amount of messing around with custom Half-Life 1 VOX announcements in the past, I decided to give something a try, and it works with pretty good results: Using asterics (***) around a word will usually tell the AI to emphasize it; it treats !? as a long, emphasized comma; ellipses (...) are _usually_ honored by the AI. It seems HTML formatting really helps fine tune what you're looking for; Wanted to stick this here for anyone later down the line that wants to tweak their voice generator with even more character.

"I choose you, orbital laser" lmao. I have nerve damage from a back injury, neuropathy from chemo, and additional issues from repetitive strain injuuries. My hands don't work right and I can't touch type to save my life. This could be really helpful.

I use VA with simple blips and boops. I have nerve damage in my hands from a car accident, my hands and fingers go numb a lot, and while running and shooting is easy to do, combine that with having to play Dance Dance Revolution in battle is something I can't do. Voice Attack has enabled me to play much better then I normally would be able too

Soon enough it will be a simple AI that we ask to do things to us. It will pay attention to the time of day and respond so accurately.
I use this for a few games it helps me out a lot since I use a quadstick mouth controller because I have no hand function being a quadriplegic

This is amazing! Is there any way to change the commands from WSAD to arrow keys in a single change? That way we can change them to the arrow keys in HD2 and VoiceAttack so that you can keep on running while calling for strats!
Yes it is called a Mass Update If you watch the tutorial video I put out, it touches on how to quickly update all the keys for the voice commands. However, changing the manual stratagem calls code needs to be done one by one, unfortunately
i wont use this for my self cause it feels like a hard work but its really cool

I'll see if there is a way to export the commands. As far as the voices, that's easy since I can just share the folder. Though you could always use ElevenLabs to choose what voice and what you want them to say

My parents were born in the early 1950s. They had a set idea of how to succeed as being only college to succeed. I didnt listen and made my own way. After about 15 years of them shaking their heads that I wouldnt amount to anything for how I thought/talked/behaved, they finally had to begin admitting that I had achieved reasonable success.
I think this can be done in vanilla game, i suggest ask ARROWHEAD STUDIOUS devs if VOICES AVTIVATION in game can be possible at some point
You missed an opportunity not naming the assistant Cortana. Although it might be copyrited. Though id love to hear her say something like "Chief we got bugs due east." We just need an assistant to call out radar contacts like a point of interest or large enemy.
Imma be honest AH def needs to see this, they recently started logging stuff for banning purposes and this might get cought up in the mix. Stay safe helldivers, even tho it is not a hack per se it still meddles with the game. My advice is to wait for AH official statement before useing this stuff.

I was playing around with this for a friend and love your implementation! The global switch boolean was a nice touch. For those asking for an upload, you can ALT+X to export a .vap file. I don't mind hosting that (and Ava's clips if you were going to share those). I have an email address on my channel.

it would be awesome to have upgrades for her as well in the game... let's her call out hostiles and directions... another upgrade could be an integrated targeting augmented reality overlay visually showing u the enemies... final upgrade could be 10 seconds of her 90 percent ai "assisted"... think iron man from civil war fighting captain America... you could activate it once per drop and it basically let's u steer the direction u go but you are neo meets john wick... it will use your load out in the most efficient way possible... eveything u got on u, fired or thrown in the perfect order at the best targets..hyper fast movement so u rarely will get hit in this mode and if u do you'll stim at the perfect time... think a diving, slide cancelling, cumberbatch Kahn from star trek movies with the quasar Cannon! a ninja auto pilot... imagine the clips!!
This is so smooth. How did you set it up so that Voice Attack only recognized the command word when you would say it in a sentence? When I try I get a lot of "unrecognized" messages from VA and my command never fires off.
Inside "Edit a Command", change the command's recognition from "Normal" to "Continuous Voice", that way you can use the key word in the middle of a sentence and it still procs the command
