What's your favorite sounding car?
LFA
Lfa,obviously
LFA
LFA
That’s just impossible… there’s so many good ones. However, rarely factory due to rules. This one right of the factory floor kills it. Even the CGT could use a nicer one compared to this. The crazy Zonda’s I think could be my favourite. And Gordon’s 12 thousand dollar one. The e46 CSL isn’t bad either.
To me it’s the greatest sounding car ever. V10 F1 era.
I’d feel like raikonnen in a Ferrari every drive
Best sounding car ever. Like this is bananas.
O v10 com o melhor e mais limpo som ❤
+ the Carrera Gt
Aventador Svj with a gintani exhaust is the best sounding car ever
I just ordered mine. Poster should be coming soon.
😭😭😭😭
Lol.
Good One!
@@ynot0714 that was funny
Yah my Hot Wheels should be here tomorrow, cant wait to try it out on my bedroom floor!
I love the Z06, but the pure and raw exhaust note of the LFA takes the cake.
I mean, my God that car sounds beautiful, it's more than a car, it's pure art.
There are cars faster than LFA, but they are not art.
Yamaha sound art
It’s actually an all digital gauge. They said while producing the engine, there was no analog gauge that could move as fast as the engine could rev.
The part that slides left and right is a physical piece, not an animation. The gauge and needle part is a display.
@@GreatOutdoors1correct
Doesnt rev that quick.. motorbikes rev much faster and have analog gauges
He clearly didn’t do his homework
7:56 he even says that part is motorized
LFA not gonna win many races today, but hey, it doesn't even have to race. It already holds the sound title that nobody can top.
😂😂, Porsche Carrera GT, already Beat it in a sound test ! and it will outperform it, i don't get LFA fan's
@@robertdavis6917 Oh, an official sanctioned test? Well, that settles it.
@@queefreak666😂😂
Go check the Gma T.50 Thank me later
@@robertdavis6917it won't out perform the Lexus on a track. Not everything is about drag races.
This is a masterpiece, beautiful work of art 💕
I'll have to be financially stable in every sense before purchasing my first supercar. The best thing to do with your money is to invest rightly because money left saving will end up with no returns.
No doubt being financially free and not having to worry much about hobbies and luxury leisures cannot be overemphasized, making smart plans and setting up diversified investment portfolios is quite essential.
you don't need that much, as long as you have 250k to 350k in cash, and earn at least 40k plus is fine. It not like you are going to pay the car off, get the car, drive it for a year or two then get something else. You don't need millions of money to enjoy nice things. You just deploy a small amount of income to have some fun. Remember you are going to get this money back ( a good percentage) when you move it.
Most people miss it but the secret to retiring comfortably is finding a way to make returns while your money works for you. My Dad, as i remember started saving for retirement quite late but I know he was making more than 10k returns from his investments monthly and it was completely passive.
This is amazing, I'm curious, how did he do it? Was it real estate? Or he was a market enthusiastic?
The creation of the V10 was lead by Lexus' chief engine designer Okamoto Takamitsu. The engine starts life at Toyota's Myochi plant. It is at this plant that the engine block is made from molted aluminium. The block is then sent to Toyota's Honsha factory. The same factory that used to be Toyota's F1 engine facility. The block will get milled, drilled and polished and emerges as a precise engine block. In a sealed room Takumi’s hone every sharp edge using precision polishing tools. After this a highly skilled Takumi pre-assembles the finished engine blocks to check if they fit precisely. Disassembled they travel as unit to Yamaha’s Iwata city plant. It is at this plant that 4 highly skilled Yamaha Takumi’s fully assemble the V10. A process that takes 2,5 days for one engine. Before the engine gets put into an LFA, it undergoes a half day of exhaustive testing. When Toyota and Yamaha collaborate, greatness is made!

😂😂, Porsche Carrera GT beat the Lexus LFA in a sound test !
@@robertdavis6917 nope
@@Insignia-pp1eh 🤣🤣, got dam'n fan Boy's, it did ! The Porsche Carrera GT also out performed the overhyped Lexus LFA
@@robertdavis6917 its not about the loudness lol
best recent LFA review! someone who understands characteristics of the transmission, actually downshifts the car unlike other people, straight to the point and informative!
Z06 is not even close to the orchestra that comes out the LFA PIPES every time you rev it up
They both sound amazing, but I gotta vote for the LFA
Great review video of the lfa! Definitely one of the most detailed videos of the car inside and out. Love it!
I've driven LFA before and there are great driving car and they're especially a great sounding car
Probably my all time dream car. Not real wild about the interior spec but I wouldn’t care what color it was id take any LFA. By far the best sounding car ever produced. It’s beyond impressive how good Lexus and Yamaha made this thing sound. It makes me wonder what it’d sound like if it were straight piped or had an even louder exhaust on it (assuming this didn’t because of the quieter start up). I’d do anything to be able to drive one of these cars. Just seeing one in person is on my bucket list. I’ve been fortunate enough to have been able to see a Bugatti Chiron, Pagani Huayra, several Lamborghinis and Ferraris, and several other insane cars. The coolest cars I’ve ever driven are a Ferrari 458 and a Lamborghini Huracan STO (video of that is on my channel). But this car is an all time bucket list car just to even see in person. Riding in or driving one would be a dream come true. Lexus has always been my favorite brand. I own two of them
This is a beautiful spec. I’ve never seen this interior combo before.
LfA and the Porsche Carrera gt with the v10 also sounds great, but the LfA engine was co-develope with yamaha, who i believe was also responsible for the exhaust tuning as well🤔 lfa is a screemer and yes ahead of it's time with a high price tag at the time of release. Still a fabulous work of art.
That cream and red with carbon fiber does not look good together
Yeah I gave it like 10mins, still ugly asf
You mean beige and red don't go well together

Awful
Man that LFA sounds so good! Very unique and expensive. Remember the commercial where it shatters the Crystal glass?
The LFA was Toyota’s go at a real sports car. It was originally designed with an all aluminum chassis but later on decided to go all carbon fiber. Which basically took too long. By the time the car was released, it was old school, old news. By then we had dual clutch transmissions and other features that made the LFA obsolete. The exhaust and induction paired with Yamaha made this car sing. Amazing car with a beautiful engine and interior. ❤
Welcome to Maryland! There's some great roads in and around Sykesville and the northern Maryland area. If you're ever up here on a Saturday, there's a fantastic weekly car show in Hunt Valley called Hunt Valley Horsepower. An LFA would be a wonderful addition to the great cars that show up every week!
i have a pair of yamaha speakers and man they know how to do their sound. easily the best speakers i’ve heard. unmatched clarity. anyways… since yamaha and toyota/lexus are japanese compaines… they teamed up on the LFA. every LFA engine produced was passed to yamahas music instrument department for final sound tuning. unreal stuff 👌🏻
fun fact the LFA uses 2 oil filters, the same oil filter can be found on a corolla lol the throttle response on these cars is also insane. i had the chance to flick the throttle while the FTS was servicing it bc he needed to listen to the tone or something
That is the Crown Jewel of Lexus. Amazing sounding V10. I think the LC500 became the poor man's production version, loosly speaking...
Very loosely! HaHa. I saw an LC at Cars on 5th in Naples last year with some customizations for 149K😎
Everything Lexus makes is great. Got myself a GX460!
The LFA is the greatest sounding and one of the sleekest looking car of it's day in my opinion
You got it Brooks way back in 2012 this car technology inside out IS still legendary and futuristic
That is one sick car, definitely the best sounding v10 I’ve ever heard. Lexus knocked it out of the park with this supercar.Awesome.
The LFA had a good transmission, shifting on point as well
😂😂, it was absolutely slow 🐌!, the only thing it offers is that sound track
@@robertdavis6917 0-60 in 3.6 sec with a top speed of 202 mph , yeah definitely sooo slow .. stfu man
@@robertdavis6917 the sound is definitely heaven to the ears💯
What are you taling about? I have driven them a few times, and the gearbox is about as awful as the one used in the Aventador.
@@AB-80X It shifts better than my Cadillac CTS-V3 for sure, I wouldn't mind having one
This is prime example of auto-makers producing a well thought out high performance car and people not appreciating it until its gone.
100k cars outperform this pretty handidly probably has something to do with it
@@johnlukach4091 An ecoboost Mustang is faster than a Ferrari 360. Whats your point?

I've only ever seen one lexus lfa! at the time it was 450k! all black with silver rims. .what a beauty!
I could see this being one to keep on the upper lift, along with the GT
If he were smart
A couple years ago, I think I saw one at a gas station near Lansing Michigan! Given Perry Michigan is not a bastion of super/hyper cars…it was quite remarkable!
Lexus LFA sounds waaaay better than the zo6 ! It’s not even close
I believe the RPM gauge is digital due to the engines rev speed. Analog couldn’t keep up.
There will never be another car like the Lexus LFA - simply phenomenal.
Great video as always! Just want to point out a small error in the video. At 6:17, the knob above wiper knob is not for adjusting digi-gauge brightness but actually for adjusting shift speed, while each driving mode has a default setting for shift speed(except auto, where it's fixed), they can be manually adjusted through that specific knob. It's commonly mistaken for brightness adjusting so just wanted to let you know.
ah, thank you, and the parking brake?
@@DragTimes It's located at the bottom right of the steering collum, should be just above your right knee, According to the owner's manual ,you pushed the small lever(or button, not sure) to engage and pull to disengage. Hope that helps!
doesn't matter if it's not the quickest or fastest. still has a 3 second 0-60. but other than that--it's the experience and this car i bet is a once in a lifetime experience that not many other cars can generate.
Music to my ears! Thanks for sharing ❤
Amazing car. Funny the tech back then is now in my 2019 Lexus IS 300 F sport . Same type of digital gauges one that move side to side. Sticker price slightly cheaper lol
Had one fly past me on westpark tollway in Houston a few days ago. Sounds beautiful.
I live right next to Westpark. On the Eldridge/ westpark side. Heard a crazy engine whine and thought “damn, that sounds like an LFA, but no way”. If you’re serious then got damn
@@mofomanx10 lmao that was definitely it then
The most unmolested car of all time. No mods. Just perfect. The motorized gauges trickled down into the 2014- IS V6 cars too.
Congratulations on the dealership. This car sounds incredible for that kind of money I think I would go for something else but super cool car.
Another awesome video! Btw when will your Revuelto arrive?
April!
That exhaust sound is orgasmic and therapeutic. Never. Get. Old.
LOVE, love it! I've lusted after the LFA since it came out. Unless you drive a Formula One on the road, you're not gonna get that sound! I can't help but think how a dual-clutch could add to the drivability and fun factor.
I agree with drivability increasing with a dual clutch but honestly, I think (personally) the single clutch would be more fun. Just being tossed back and forth on every shift and then hearing that engine take a “gasp of air” it just adds to the experience. Would definitely be interesting to see one with a dual clutch.
It’s insane how much this car has shot up in value in the last 4 years. In 2020, one of these was listed for about $600,000. Now, they go for nearly $1 million.
Great review, small suggestion, maybe get a lapel mic, since the car noise is interfering with your voice audio.
I actually have a lapel mic on and another one by the exhaust on the car, still experimenting with this dual channel wireless setup, easiest way is to not talk during the revs 😊
@@DragTimes Keep it up. Love your stuff, and your love of all vehicles, ICE and EV.
The LFA’s exhaust they did a dyno run on it at Lexus and put champagne flutes behind the exhaust, higher RPM’s and they shattered. That was amazing to see!
Parking brake is underneath the dash down in the footwell sorta by where your knees would be
I like how he shows me where to put the hood prop like I’m ever going to have to look for it when I get my LFA 🤣🤣
Brooks. New idea. Always stick a key chain to the dash. Man that really shows how much that thing pulls.
It's looks beyond amazing in 4K. I can't even fathom how it looks irl.
LFA is one of my dream car , my second is a 911 but expensive 😢 , great video 🙌🏼
A masterpiece of art and technology.
Bro I think LFA is a more than a million dollar car right now.
that was 2 years ago market is dropping
The LFA is still a failure, not many millionaire car enthusiasts are buying that slow 🐌 azz car
Love the video! Thanks Brooks!! Just to clarify to people. This is how good it was, too fool many. The gauges is not a moving analog rev gauge. It’s actually a full digital gauge with the UI programed to move at the same time as a plastic gauge ring that sits on a motorized track in front of the screen. It’s pretty clever shit. They used these later in the Lexus IS’s. Also one cool note that was left out is these cars have a full carbon monocoque.
yea, I meant it mechanically moves.... instead of just one big screen....
This is my favorite sounding car ever the z06 can’t compare
Its but the z06 is not even in the top three. Try lfa, murci sv, carrera gt
I'm a simple guy. I see a LFA , i hit the like button.
This car was always under appreciated. In terms of V10s, I don't put this above the Carrera GT's but maaaaybe the V10 in the Huracan and it bumps the V10 found in the e60 M5 off the podium.
I've seen every super car in my city except the Bugatti (seen at car show but not on the road) and the LFA..Its definitely a rare collectible. It's prototype body design was way ahead of its time. Still looks like a 2024.
Wow I’ve never seen a tan/beige interior LFA before. And interesting carbon fiber key with tiny fob.
LFA is just incredible 😊
100% LFA all the way. Greetings from Canada.
The LFA parking brake is on the opposite side of the front trunk lever under steering column its some kind of lever or button something like that btw the sound is ridiculous still my no 1 car in my heart
I remember when this car came out, I wasn't impressed for the price BUT hands down the greatest engine/exhaust sound period!
It's one of those cars you own it, drive it and sell it so others can truly enjoy the master piece.
Wow. Thanks for the ride. I felt like I was in the car with you.
The exhaust is godlike!
Geez I LOVE the INTERIOR of this one😍😍😍😍😍; NOTE how the red-line starts at around 7,000rpm when it's cold, & increases when it warms up - HOW COOL IS THAT!!!??? RTFM to find the park brake, lol... apparently this car has about a dozen User Manuals, for various parts of it - and one is just for how to clean it, & what NOT to do when you're cleaning it.. apparently the rear wing comes up automatically at around 50mph/80km/hr.. you have to be an absolute fanatic to buy one of these (which I ABSOLUTELY WOULD if I had the $$$, lol). Lexus had to sell these at a loss, to sell them at all - unbelievable, since they now go for more than their original price.. I just hope that the LFA has given the Lexus brand an immeasurable boost in the marketplace for luxury cars, & that the loss on each LFA has benefitted Lexus in the long run!! Just imagine this car with a modern dual-clutch shifter... come on Lexus, the 2020's are crying for an updated version of the LFA - just give us exactly the same car, same awesome V10, with a dual-clutch gearbox.. omgosh, what a MACHINE THAT would be 😍🤩🤯😵😵😵! Jeremy Clarkson said "I'm going to say it.. this is the best car I've ever driven!" - you must know, THAT doesn't come cheap..
@dragtimes what kind of information is displayed on the HUD?
Definitely one of the best sounding V10 cars.
Very nice movie about this great Lexus LFA. Nice to get a wonderful impression this way.
It looks like it came out yesterday, truly insane.
I remember seeing the early prototypes of the LFA at the Detroit Auto Show in 2006 and the Concours de Elegance in 2008 and the production version PALES in comparison. They really dumbed the design down if you can believe it.
Wow! Incredible sounds!
Best exaust sound ever heard❤ I like this car 👏❤️Toyota thanks so much for the ballad
The interior on this one is amazing!
a z06 c8 vs lfa rev battle. that would be a neat short for youtube!
The lfa and the laferrari are just 😍🤤
Man, a few months ago I saw a silver LFA over by Chandler mall (near Phoenix, AZ) just driving around looking for a parking space. Wasn't even that clean, either. Like homeboy just used it as a daily driver or something.
What an amazing car!! That scream😮
I never cared for the front styling but loved the rear.
That’s a beautiful car. I can only hope I get to drive one. I’m in love.
This machine is a real distinctive samurai with its v10. The sound is just a hurricane! Thank you very much for the review and greetings from Russia!)😉
LFA sounds amazing
Original MSRP on the LFA was actually $330,000 and they had and couldn't sell them. 2 years ago Lexus reported 3 sales of "new" LFA'S. That interior is awful.... 😮 The sound is amazing!
There is nothing like the high pitched F1 sounding LFA. One of a kind. Overall performance the Z06 destroys it though but there is a generational difference of when they were built so it's expected.
Absolutely love this, what an event 😎🔥
1 of my ALL TIME FAVORITE LEXUS LFA, " MOTHER OF ALL LEXUS".
Such an amazing car, Not sold on the red and tan interior though....
Go on Brookes.... you must be tempted to buy a once in a lifetime opportunity. It would look great beside your red GT40... yeah the latest Ferrari/ McLaren/ Lambo are ruthlessly faster, but the LFA has SOUL and PRESENCE!! Speed and 1/4 mile times aren't everything... the LFA is unquestionably a statement in style and coolness.... and reliability too!!
always strange to me how the aventador is praised as being raw for having a single clutch gearbox even in 2023 models, but the lfa designed in 2005 is considered slow and outdated using the same tech … if I remember correctly only one of them actually held the nürburgring lap record at one time.
生産終了してから、10年経ったLFAのエンジンルームの綺麗さに感心!
Greatest sounding car ever built!!!
Wow absolutely incredible. Why though wouldn't they make this a manual or at least a DCT?
Manual Lfa would be peak. Would be a multi million dollar car already.
LFA's V10 sound is an "angel's roar"!
Que barulho dos deuses melhor v10 todos tempos sem duvida alguma divinal
Just seen 1 sell for 1.5 million. 800 thousand is lucky to get at that price nowadays
That single glutch adds to the rawness of this vehicle
