A lap around the Nürburgring Northschleife. My first time on the Nordschleife, didn't know the track well. Drove a few laps on PS3 a day before. Enough to remember the 1st third of the track, the rest was familiar, bot not enough.
Made A LOT of mistakes, overshifted a lot trough the whole lap. Probably because of the excitment, so don't blame me :) Amazing expirience. Great to be able to look at the speedo too. The video hides true speed very well.
Still in love with the engine and the sound of the car. The LFS is magnificent, sublime on the road and track. Best supercar I've driven. So balanced, so poised and with enormous levels of grip. Will remember this for the res of my life. Was one of the highlights of my journalistic career and I get chills just looking at this ...
Timed the lap, and I think it would be around 8min05sec. Good&fast for my first time at the Ring. The car was a normal LFA, not the Nürburgring edition that did the best laptime for the LFA model.
All the people who played too much Gran Turismo and Forza being critical of this guy will never understand the difference between a Restart button VS the fear of crashing their own exotic on a track

When I wasn't into racing, I thought LFA wasnt fast enough for the price and was like "rather buy GTR for the price..." but now I really love the fact that this thing does this much fast while having amazing exhaust notes from N/A V10 which is really a huge game changer for the driving experience on both tracks and daily driving, moreover, most people are even close to able to push this car to the limit. This car seems to be really comfy and bossy on public roads as well..This car is truly a masterpiece. I wish I can have one if I had money.

One thing that didn’t translate over from videos and games when I rode along on the Nurburgring was the sheer difference in elevation on some of the straights and during some of the curves. There is a reason automakers use this track to sort suspension dampening. Lesser setups can easily be thrown out of control resulting in spin outs even when not under power or due to lift off. Track felt like a rollercoaster ride even if you drive it at 100km/h
Maybe don't try and have a go at a circuit with cut springs instead of a proper adjustable suspension. Lowering the ride height doesn't change the dampening

Its the year 2024 and the LFA get's better every day .... An 8+ minute lap is respectable, very respectable.
100% no way this was his first lap. You'd have to know this track like the back of your hand to drive it the way he does. There are way too many blind corners/straight entries that he just blasts through. Not to mention not knowing the grip that's available from the asphalt, or under the weather conditions that day, and those two factors alone vary greatly from one track to another. Regardless, this is an amazing video, and he's is an extremely skilled driver.

So go slap yourself, thank you very much. @Bob Dalmat - Bob, the way I see it, I it was quite OK for my first lap on the ring ever, with a rare supercar I've been trusted not to crash tha I haven't driven before. Time the lap, it would me more than 8 min, and less than 8 min 10 sec. respectable regarding the circumstances. was excited (kinda hard not to be), screwed up most of the lines, upshifted to early a lot (the car goes like a motha...), shifted to many times in general .. did a bunch of mistakes, that would have gone away, had I know the track and the car better.
All those times in ring simulators really paid off. Glad you are happy, that dip on the road 5/7 thru the track makes your spine tingle.

I'm amazed by the fact that my guy just drove the track a few times on a PS3 (probably on controller) then went out and drove a screaming V10 Lexus LFA irl.
Every time I drive there, I always want to come back for more... Enough is never enough 😅... Enjoying Nurburgring Nordschleife doesn't have to be about making good lap times... It's about being able to drive according to your passion and respective abilities 🏆... Nevertheless, this very lucky LFA owner is indeed blessed to own a legendary driving machine and being able to drive it on a legendary route too 👍 🤲 Well done 👏

I'm just trying to work out how the heck this guy stayed on the track lol. Through most of those corners I was waiting for the back end to come loose on him!
The car has tonnes of grip, only when you bury your foot deep into the floor you can realistically get the back end out at speed, the slower you go the less grip the car has. Plus, sometimes he would floor it early after a corner, and you can hear and see the cars computers trying to fight it constantly.
Lexus completely over designed the car so it has a tonne of grip. Toyota/Lexus lost a lot of money on this project because the car was too good. The price tag was reflective of the amount of effort out into the design and making of the car, and it honestly could've been £200k more expensive and it still would've sold out.

I'm only 16 and just got my first car, right now my "race track" is just any empty parking lots I can find when I can open my car up.
