Obviously you missed them shooting a missile in that same city and taking out an apartment building on the other side, or the U turning MLRS that came back and SPLATTERED the launcher and crew, or the idiot that threw the grenade into a tree trunk, that came spinning back at them, and after they all ran, they laughed about it, and several others.

    • @@MrJdsenior that mlrs didnt go back and hit the launcher. it was a trick of perspective. it actually had a guidance failure and traveled toward the camera before turning into the ground about 1/2 Km from the launch site.

    • Not only that, the dump-and-burn maneuver was beyond spectacular. I've seen Royal Australian Air Force F-111s do them at air shows, but their performances looked like lighting a fart. This MiG-31 just kept spewing fire from its backside.

    • looked to be a catastrophic engine failure as in most if not all the turbines are gone in that engine. and it is just spraying jet fuel into the exhaust. it is a twin engine so it was still capable of flight. until what looks like a total hydraulic failure resulting in the complete loss of control of the aircraft as seen by the violent pitch up and uncontrolled spin, at which point the pilot ejects. could be a result of a bird strike or being poorly maintained. a missile hit is unlikely to have been the cause.

The ejection seat is designed to get the pilot out of the aircraft as quickly as possible, and it does so with a lot of force. The pilot is subjected to G-forces that can be up to 12 times the force of gravity, and this can cause serious injuries. Even if the pilot survives the ejection, it is not always clear if they will be able to fly again.
