I just wanted to give appreciation to everyone with a dashcam, who isn't involved in an accident, that pulls over anyway to help those in the accident and provide video evidence to police.
@M Detlef Well, that doesn't help someone when the officer is filing a police report right then and there. Even if you can't provide them a copy of the video immediately, you can still be a witness.
I got in an accident that wasn’t my fault back in December. Someone tried making a left on a main road I was traveling on right in front of me. I was doing 40 and was only able to slow to around 30 before I swerved and smashed the rear half of his vehicle. He stopped while halfway in my lane and because I hit a stopped vehicle I was found to be at fault. I’d give anything to see footage of the incident. Hell, I’d have loved to have a witness at all. At least 6 people saw it but they all just left.
Lost $3,000 on it as well.
@@pap4539 wouldn't it be nice if people had the decency to confess to their faults? If it was me who had cut you off, I would have sucked it up and been honest with the police about that. People are so selfish and have no sense of responsibility.
@@scottmorgan6456 that'd be very nice! he was very apologetic and nice while exchanging info. but he turned the story around when he talked to insurance. he said that he was simply sitting at the stop sign waiting to make his turn when i tried to make a right going too fast and hit him. what really happened is that he pulled halfway into my lane before stopping and i swerved hard right to try and avoid the collision but smashed into his rear left quarter panel. he also said i told him not to call the cops which is stupid considering im the only one who filed a police report and did so an hour after the incident. anyways i was found to be at fault because i "hit a stopped vehicle". im still pretty bitter about that 6 months later.

Those make me pissed too, but what really gets me is when they lie about it. Those that lie and are caught because of it should have to pay a fine or something.
I hate to say it, but they're human garbage. There's no excuse for high tailing it right at the scene of an accident. Not only is it illegal it's also just plain f**ked up! Be an adult and own up to your shit, it's as simple as that. If they are running away because they have no insurance, license issues, etc then they shouldn't be driving in the first place, they should be taking Uber or riding the metro.
Some people have never even heard of the word "responsibility" and I really hate these people but the best we can do is use our better senses and be the better person in all situations!

Vatha9 Mt. SAC's parking is just awful, I always have to park at the lot outside where the wildlife sanctuary is at. From there, you can either walk or wait for a small shuttle bus to take you to the campus. However, traffic gets so cluttered that walking there is faster than waiting for the bus.
Some jerkoff was drunk going 70 or so through a walmart parking lot cutting between cars not even driving down the aisle but through it and totaled my car. hate mongrels like that

Depends on where u are, inner cities is at least 20% without insurance and thats why insurance is so incredibly expensive if you live in a big city

@@JefferyT1991 in the netherlands your car gets impounded and your drivers license gets taken in and you get charged with uninsured driving (to court and like 600$ fine) oh and the impounded cars get sold on the government site, so u dont get money for that

If someone puts their blinker on next to me, and I would have to slam on the brakes on a busy road, I'M NOT DOING THAT. Just because they didn't plan ahead and pick the correct lane doesn't mean I'm gonna get rear ended to let them in.

The problem with having round-a-bouts in America is nobody wants to yield the right of way.
Round a bouts were meant for horses and not cars. I asked about those stupid things 35 years ago when I lived in London and was told that it is difficult for horses pulling a load to stop and start again, and that they were left over from that sort of traffic. They make sense in that context, but that's about it.
Roundabouts result in far better traffic flow than intersections, and are less dangerous, because accidents are mainly fender-benders and not T-bone wrecks that kill people. Of course, drivers need to learn how to navigate them. If they can't, then honestly, they shouldn't be driving.

Jamming the breaks on is almost as dangerous especially in the left hand lane of the highway.
Exactly, anytime a car passes that much faster in relatively tight traffic I assume they are willing to come into my lane even if it’s close and anticipate it. Especially when you’re on the far left. It’s not worth an accident to prevent someone from ever cutting you off, the guy was too stubborn to let him into his lane and now has to deal with all of the fallout. If he gets so pissed about it he can brake honk and move on with life
Not only "could" they have slowed down, they *should* have slowed down. Again..........a dash cam is no substitute for brakes. Cammer would not have had to "slam" the brakes to avoid a collision. There is at least comparative negligence here.

90% of these accidents are preventable with defensive driving. Yeah, I know it's easy to see who's at fault, but slowing down, not plowing through intersections unaware, and avoiding blind spots goes a long way toward making your day a lot better.

The guy at 0:55 that hit the cammer....why are you driving that fast in a parking lot? I often see people driving fast in a parking lot or garage, but never understand the reasoning behind it. Not worth the risk, in my opinion. As for the fire fighter that wrecked, I get that speed was likely the cause but I wonder if distracted driving also played a factor? And I'm pretty sure the guy at 5:00 is drunk or under the influence of something.

I don't know about that, although I personally like them. They're putting them in all over central Ohio and plenty of drivers are clueless about navigating through them. I've actually seen more accidents at roundabouts than intersections lately!

In Michigan we have them all over the place. I have a huge one less than 20 min from my house and nobody knows how to use it. It’s one of the biggest crash sites around. Granted this one have 3 circles and each have 2 to 3 lanes in them. But even the small one near the college I go to is confusing to people. I had to slam on my breaks for someone because they wanted the people in the other lane waiting, to go through when he was in the middle of the round about himself
