smart to an extent yes now she cant leave but taking it by force could be considered strong arm robbery, the big problem is it is all on dash cam all she needed was the plates of the car hand it over to police with video evidence that person is super fucked, if they ran because of no insurance you know damn well they cant afford a lawyer let alone a lawyer good enough to get charges dropped or reduced. although the driver was doing what she thought was necessary to stop the other driver she committed a serious felony along with many other traffic violations as well as driving erratically endangering other innocent motorists. i do get why she did it but imagine while trying to chace this person down they inadvertently cause a fatal accident? other peoples lives are not worth risking to chase down some hit and run asshole. plus chances are that dash cam wasn't the only camera that caught the original hit and run crash.
@@buzzzthrower555 I thought they were smart about those things in the US...like because the hit-and-run-offender chose to run, SHE is the person that will be held responsible for potential incidents resulting from the following chase, even if it is her pursuer who experiences said incident. One can reasonably argue the offender was the reason the chase took place at all. Isn't that the case in some states if people refuse to stop for the police and a chase resulting in damages occur?
@@NoMoYOUsernames And who would be at fault if the lady hit anyone or anything in her vigilante chase? She's got a dashcam, that's all she needs for insurance to buy it. 90 in probably a 35? Driving between cars? Almost running a pedestrian over? Assault and battery? Not worth it. She made the decision to do all of that. However, it's unlikely any judge wouldn't acquit, because of the cam footage and the actual events. But still, the risk far outweighs any possible benefits. Fun to watch though.

@@satagaming9144 Ah, the 'what if' argument. What if people were sentenced on what ifs? We'd all be murderers! That said, I agree there's risk involved. But would I do the same as she did? No doubt. My sense of right and wrong would block out the what ifs, for sure. Would insurance cover the damages without you chasing down the culprit? Maybe. Would the culprit face the proper charges without you chasing her down and proving to the camera what the driver's face look like? Probably not.

Corner of Kitching St and Krameria Av in Moreno Valley, CA. There's a bike lane there so it's possible he was turning from that (still wouldn't be great, and it does look like he was turning from the middle lane), but the other guy 100% tried to go straight through a right turn only lane.

I would generally assume that the unmarked lane is straight only, but mmmaayyybbeee it's allowed since it's unmarked? This was no accident. It was intentional. You can actually hear the engine as he steps on the accelerator after making contact, then pushes the car around for a while before finally pulling to the opposite side. If the insurance company were to see this, there would be no insurance coverage for him.

0:20 I know that the Saturn is at fault but why did the cammer keep on turning into the Saturn to the point where they had passed 1.5 lanes over to the left until the Saturn spun out?
The Saturn was stuck to their wheel so it wasn't spinning.
Maybe they were stuck but both drivers looked like they were trying to prove a point. The cammer was trying to hold his ground at first but when the saturn pushed back and didn't let off the cammer pushed harder. I think the cammer was being irresponsible but at the same time if they didn't push back even a little maybe they would've spun out. And based on how the saturn driver and passenger barely flinched when they made contact, I'm guessing they would've just driven away if the cammer had spun out.

Yeah, She messed up though by speeding to catch the perp, she may have caused an accident herself and then she would have been at fault; Add that to her subsequent assault of the other driver and she will probably lose her own insurance and will be facing charges too! All in all this was a total FUBAR for all concerned...
