    • @kimdkpop You clearly don't drive, or if you do, you shouldn't! None of the excuses you listed are valid in any way, shape or form. There is a quote I'm fond of which somewhat applies. With great power comes great responsibility. How does it apply, you ask? With a large truck of great power, the driver is especially responsible for his/her driving and actions. As for your assertion that he heard the beeping but could have thought it was for something else. You especially show that you are either very young or quite foolish where safety and awareness are concerned. There were multiple vehicles honking. That would have triggered any sane and responsible driver to become extra aware of his/her surroundings. Lastly, the assertion that he couldn't feel it because he was in a big truck. Professional drivers like those licensed to drive commercial vehicles are just as able to feel when their steering and such are off as John Q Public can in their own vehicle. There would have been significant drag that he needed to compensate for with more speed. Shifting gears would have been harder as well as driving in general. That big rig driver essentially threw a toddler like fit that day. Maybe one too many fools cut him off. Maybe he had a personal grudge against someone who drove a car just like that one. In any case, he knew exactly what he was doing from start to finish. His surprised Pikachu face was as obvious as any meme portraying a shocked Pikachu face.

If he really couldn't see the car he needs to have his license revoked permanently.

There are only solid green lights, so there is no advanced left turn light. It's just a normal intersection and the cammer was supposed to yield to those going straight. Even if that weren't the case, the phone distracted the cammer from easily avoiding this. PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN.

Like I also think its cool how some newer cars in the back with the 3rd brake light that pulses whenever the brake is pressed. And I absolutely love anything L.E.D they are just so stunning bright and beautiful to look at. Except for police cars. Those freakin things dam near blind you the closer you get to them...they are way too bright!!! In fact I almost rear-ended someone on the freeway because the cop lights were so bright I couldn't see in front of me...ridiculous!!!!

    • @@jamesabarela Flashing brake lights are a good idea, and I believe that they do prevent accidents in some cases, but they are sure annoying in stop-and-go traffic. LED lights are always nice. > The main problem that I have with new vehicle lights is the headlights being too bright, which usually has everything to do with they way that they are aimed and focused. They're too bright if a vehicle is coming over a hill, because they are aimed so precisely as to project the brightest light at a slightly downward angle a long ways ahead on the road when it is flat, but we have a lot of hills around here, so that when a vehicle is coming over a hill, instead of aiming down at the road ahead, the lights aim down, but still well above the angle of the road surface and the most intense focused light is aimed right into oncoming drivers faces. Or, if a truck is towing a trailer, or carrying a heavy load, the back of the vehicle is weighed down, changing the angle at which the vehicle sits, thus aiming the headlights much higher and right into the eyes of oncoming drivers. Old headlights were never focused so precisely and weren't so blinding with just a slight adjustment to the front and back tilt of the vehicle. I see a lot of vehicles with headlights that are aimed too high even on flat surfaces and need to be adjusted, but few people even know about this concept so they don't even realize that they are blinding fellow drivers and need to ask their service technicians to adjust their headlights any differently than they came from the factory. Furthermore, I'm not sure about newer headlights' propensity for eventually getting out of adjustment over a long period of time because of vibrations and bumps, but older ones definitely did, and needed to be adjusted more frequently. Once a year is a good time frame to check them, and it's probably best to check in the fall, before the dark driving seasons.

Even when we took driver’s ed, the teacher wouldn’t pass him through (driver’s ed in High school, in Florida back then, meant you didn’t have to take the 8 hour class required by the state at the time). When he finally did get his license, he wrecked two cars by graduation. He joined the military and wrecked three more vehicles, and he flipped a humvee when he was in Afghanistan. He comes back stateside, wrecked two more vehicles in Florida, and another SUV in New Jersey. It’s been about 17 years, and because of his horrific driving record, he can’t hold a license in New York, New Jersey or Florida, and no insurance company will touch him. His wife had to drive him everywhere, and he’s only 35. Some people are just terrible drivers.
