Yep. *Look at least 3 times. *If you're not good with depth perception, take an extra second or 2 to judge how far away the car is, and how fast they are driving. *Never assume that everyone else is following the rules of the road, or is paying attention. *The last place to have D size battle is while driving down the road. *And, very importantly, do not just look straight ahead of you. Your eyes need to be moving all the time - what's in front of you, the driver in front of you (you'll learn to read what they're about to do), the drivers alongside you, the drivers behind you - pay attention to ALL of it.

Sometimes, because you've been paying attention to everything going on around you, you may have that extra second you need to avoid as much damage as possible - even if you still get hit. Sometimes - there's nothing you can do. Watch some of those car crash videos - people at stop lights, patiently waiting, getting demolished when another car or truck is out of control and takes out an entire line of cars, or the entire front row at the light - there's nothing you can do. The point of these tips is to help you avoid as many accidents as possible. The majority of accidents are stupid. Turning into someone is a stupid accident. Turning in front of someone is a stupid accident. Getting into an accident because people want to have a territorial battle on the roads is a stupid accident. It doesn't mean you can avoid everything, simply because you cannot control other people. However, the more you are aware of what is going on around you, the more patient you are on the road, the more space you leave between you and the other car in front of you, the more caution you take while driving in inclement weather (fog, snow, ice, rain), the more likely you're going to avoid an accident.

I got my learner's permit 2 months ago, and I felt like the DMV test was way too easy. These people are why it should be more difficult.

Because in general where I live if you go by the safest option that's the better thing to do (so perfectly legal and fine to go on the side if thats available) but we also have that if you have to share well cycles will be considered to take up one car space.

Gets tiring having to see a minor cut off captioned with: "So I was going to my girlfriend's nephew's best friend's harpsichord recital when this forest green 1996 Hyundai cut me off out of nowhere. Luckily I was doing the bare minimum of paying attention to the road. No damage or injuries but I almost spilled my 340 cal small Vanilla Frosty® from Wendy's® and it would have made me late for the recital. Idk mate, I kind of disagree? I think the channels that host the dash cam compilations should just include context for the video if provided, not include the full story from the individual. Not to minimize the effort that they put in to make the compilations, but they are quite literally doing much less work than other content creators that film their own content and edit etc. the very least they can do (aside from crediting video owners) is edit a response to make it clear what was going on or even leave it out entirely and provide a small personal comment for context.

Most other channels offer that though so it's nice to have one that focuses only on the videos. But I'm also just amused by the seemingly unnecessary details I often see in the comments I don't think there should be an imperative to put in as much effort as you can though. I think honestly he was in shock that not only did he not notice her coming towards him, then he miraculously look at his car and moved in such a way that less Then even a second and he would have been crushed from the waist down and probably would hsve died from internal bleesding. I believe him to be in shock and he may develop PTSD from this. Get an order of protection against that chick at least. The real craziness is landing back on wheels, not that the engine is still running. It's like, "ohmagerd, the engine still runs after a crash" Well, yea, unless it was an impact direct to the engine.

He also blocked their path by stopping his car right in front of them and just drove off after they crashed.
