"Your dad's 300" How long have you been talking to my dad. Like wtf man this is literally what he said when we watched 300 for the first time

"Your dad's 300!" that killed me!
Braveheart was my grandpappy's 300, Gladiator was my Dad's 300 and 300 was my own 300.
The "Strap in" cut to torture scene was a highly underrated joke.
Alfonso Villarosa a good pun, but not THAT great imo
Could have been "strap on" though...
Had me laughing
Can’t believe they missed how the Battle of Stirling bridge had no bridge in it 😂
Battle of Stirling was our first great victory... Now we know his name "Sir William Wallace, the Hammer of English"
The original battle was so much better. Okay people died so I should rephrase that.... I mean it was a great strategy on the Scottish side
Yeah, but why show the Scottish actually being intelligent and using proper battle tactics when we can just ram the two sides into each other like a bunch of toys?
I've been burned so many times by biopics that I don't believe anything anymore. Every time I watch a biopic, instead of concentrating on the plot I'm always thinking "Did this really happen? Did that really happen? I can't wait for this movie to be over so I can check the wiki". That's not the viewing experience that you want your audience to have. They can't really blame the audience for feeling this way, it's like a "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" situation.

So the next 300 movie will be about angry Americans and the lead will be a Spartan?

That GoT comparison was spot on. Holy beef knuckles!

The novel Game of Thrones came out one year after Braveheart. Just saying.

As a kid, I thought those were the most realistic battle scenes ever...Until I learned that nobody ever fought battles like that...But still one of my favorite movies.
uh. is that true? could you please elaborate
@@m.alencar947 Battles were usually in formation where you stand in a grid, waiting for the people in front of you to get killed and then you move forward to take his place. (Cavalry, i.e. mounted troops, work a bit differently, of course, but still in formation) The free-for-all battles in movies and shows basically only occur with incapable commanders or disorganized retreats.
@JnliewMichael erm. Well, there was formation in the movie Brave Heart. One seance William was expecting a flank but was betrayed. They showed to ambush the English many times in the beginning. You are describing how wars were fought during the napoleon eara wars. Where canons and singa shot rifles were used instead of spears knives and catapults.
@@PM-qp5heNo you are wrong and also the previous commenter was incorrect. Make a research on it
@@m.alencar947Yes it's true, wars were nothing like this.
The French princess that William Wallace banged in Braveheart, was a real historical figure, just like Wallace. But, at the time of Wallace's death, she was only 4 years old! How romantic!!!
Um, ...well, they aged faster back then, you see...... and.........um..........um...............Ah, Hell no! ......That's just wrong. (Gets up, walks out and slams door.)

Should've given a nod to the amazing soundtrack, but Tormund Mediumsbane made up for it

"There's Something About Murron" almost killed me XD
That "Follow your passion" line killed me. lol
Gotta love the Column of Mob armed with swords....please people, before gunpowder the bread-and-butter weapon was not swords, but spears!
The scene that still wrecks me to this day is when Wallace is a boy at his dad's funeral and little Murron hands him a flower. The young boy playing Wallace starts to cry, the music swells and the cinematography is so on point that I get goosebumps just thinking about it. Do another Mel Gibson movie, Apocalypto!

I know it’s not historically correct, still one of the old time greats. Outlaw king on Netflix is more historically correct it’s a sequelto brave heart about his mate Robert the Bruce. Do a honest trailer.....Outlaw King (Netflix)
Not a literal direct sequel to the movie itself, but the events did follow right after, historically. But I agree, not a kilt or bagpipe in sight.

To quote my sister-in-law, who is a member of Clan Wallace, "Mel was WAY too short for that role."
Necro Critic I remember reading something a while back where Mel agreed he was far too short and about 10 years too old to play the role, but the studio wouldn’t make the film if he wasn’t the lead actor too :/
If physical appearance isn't a concern for any other historical fiction/drama, it shouldn't be here.
