I don’t care what anyone says, Hurley starting the van is one of the best moments of the show.
I’m currently rewatching the show with my roommate and recently passed that part. I agree, such a great moment and it’s so much more impactful the second time around.
Cue Three Dog Night
Yes! I was just gonna write that:)
Such a heroic feel that had. Hurley was such a well written character
I think episodes like that are brilliant when you're binge watching. Old weekly format was frustrating when they just did full story line episode and followed it up with a 'monster of the week' episode.
Okay how does this Honest Trailer make me simultaneously want to rewatch Lost AND never rewatch Lost?
😂
Same!
Same!!!

You nailed it! 😂
How could you leave out all the times Desmond said "Brothah"
See you in another life brotha

in the context of the show I was sad for Michael every time but seeing a supercut of all of it is utterly hilarious
kohl cooke I was sad too...until it was 2 whole seasons of him only saying that. Writers did him dirty
Crashes on an island... "we gotta get off this island" Gets off the island.... "we gotta go back to the island" gets back to the island.... "we gotta get off this island" eyes start to cross
It's just the hokey pokey. The time travel arc is when they turn themselves around and find out what it's all about.

@@amberblanco5979 he is though... So much. 💕❤️💕
I've never heard his character more aptly summarized in a single line though, no joke lol
Who turns out to be a likeable hero
When Desmond calls Penny, it's the most romantic scene from any TV show or film. This show had some really great moments and some bad. Just like Honest Trailers pointed out.
The constant❤❤
Its high points outshined its low points imo
"Desmond! Where are you???" Gets me every time. Those two actors had such great chemistry.
A loved Desmond and Penny, and that phone call is one of my all-time favourite tv moments.
Really? I've always hated his character and thought him annoying 😅
All these years later “not penny’s boat” still gives me major goosebumps
Nostalgic momment!
Those were the days.
yea same!
To this Day bro
The ending was so so so underwhelming, but this scene was gold.
John Locke is one of the greatest characters of all time. Terry O'Quinn absolutely killed it in this role.
Did you ever watch Millennium? He was great in that, too!
@@MykeLewisMusic He's really great in everything I've seen him in.
There were some very strong Actors and lost and I’m happy to say that the best of them turned up again and again and a lot of my favorite shows. Deservedly so. And I agree that that one character was the whole reason I kept watching even though I thought the writing was terrible.
I wish he and Michael Emerson had gotten that retired hitmen show purchased However, we DID get Person of Interest, which was amazing.
He's not greater than me
They didn't say anything about how EVERY FREAKING TIME someone ran through the jungle they tripped over something, it drove me crazy...
Something tells me you've never been in an actual jungle before
I can't see A Running Scene without remembering how they used Hand-Held Shaky Cam to do it.
Much more realistic than Walking Dead for example, where they run around forests so comfortably, like they are Tarzan or something.
I don't even want to imagine how many hours it must have taken to get that Locke "Hello" montage!
Didn't expect to see you here. Love your videos man
I try to say "Hello" to all my co-workers every day. Maybe I'm like Locke in that way; but is it weird?
Okay, but the episode about Hurley starting a van was one of the best.
Exactly. That was beautiful character development. He finally let go of his superstition and started to believe in himself again. I found it really touching.
Thank You! The van episode makes me root for Hurley so hard!
Hurley was my favorite character, and the van episode may be my favorite of all.

Well you are LOST in these Honest trailers John so it's Fine that they LOST you.
.... I don't get it.... 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
In addition to the performances by the actors, the music absolutely makes Lost. When Boone died and the Life and Death theme played... wooo, man, that was a huge tear jerker for me. Also, of all the catchphrases, Razzle Dazzle is definitely the best.
According to Spotify, one of the songs that plays in that episode is called Booneral which is hilarious
This is easily, one of the BEST Honest Trailers you guys have done in some time. Love LOST, flaws and all. I had not realized how friendly Locke is!
They should have followed Friendly Locke with Crazy Locke 😄
I love Lost too with all its flaws. Always will be in a special place in my heart to me.
He was always friendly until season 6. Actually he was still friendly in ladt season being MIB but evil 😂
"I just killed a chicken" I died when they finished with that XD
"Somebody" beats the crap out of Ben? How about Everybody beats the crap out of Ben! The only ones who didn't hit Ben were Baby Aaron, the polar bear and Ben.
Man jj must really hate that name

Just like why did the statue/foot only have four toes!?!?! 🥴
Right!
You only had to wait for a pandemic to eliminate new movie premieres for about a year
Surprised they didn’t mention how jack seemed constantly out of breath in every scene. Whenever me and missus quote jack we always make it sound like we just ran an entire marathon beforehand Also no compilation of Desmond saying “see you in another life brother”

I forgot how badass Sawyer was. He was such an interesting character, easily one of the best on the show.

"We have to go back Kate" is still one of the most jaw dropping moments in TV history, and had no one to discuss it with when it happened coz no one was watching Lost in my circle at the time.
Yeah that scene was one of best scenes I've ever seen
season 3 had his moments where it was a chore but i figured out about 45 min into the season 3 finale that it was a flash future just the way jack was acting and everyone and jack getting a 2 hour flashback at the time when he had the most flashbacks made no sense.
Same I didnt start watching lost until 2017
I was fortunate enough to watch it live and so many people were talking about it after every single episode and anylizing everything. The closest I've gotten to experience that same thing was with Game of Thrones, but it still didnt quite feel the same.
@@matthewdugan4829 for all the hate the final season of lost got i think game of thrones was worse.
This made me laugh so hard. Just wish I knew how Jack always has a perfectly groomed 5 ‘0clock shadow on the island. That takes talent.
And a gauge 4 buzzcut that never grows. lol
It was Hurley never losing weight- after being on an island all that time, was always the biggest mystery to me.
right brothah 😁
Sometimes it's not about food. Sometimes it's about hormones.
@@Tabris94 IT's thermodynamics. Human body needs calories to operate. Less calories less weight. Excess calories more weight. Hormones don't change caloric needs sufficiently enough to promote mass weight gain. No. That is from eating more calories than body requires.

They were only actually on the island for a few months. For someone that big there wouldn’t be much noticeable loss in that timeframe, even with near starvation.
Favorite line: “IM AN INDUSTRIAL WELDER!”
So nice, they had to say it four times
Lmao
Man... if that was on NetFlicks, I'd so watch it. ;)
seriously why did I get the exact same ad 4 times in a row
Google can afford better voice acting, writing, and production than this. It sounds very "wow did u know women are people who can play games??????"
It's been about a decade since I thought about Lost, man, all these memories came flooding back lol
Exactly......😭
Memories: "We gotta go back, Kate. We gotta go back!"
I suppressed all the memories of this show after it flopped in the end.
When we got married my wife had never seen LOST, so we streamed all six seasons on Netflix over the course of five or six months. She was hooked after two or three episodes, of course, but it's a completely different show over six months rather than six years. She was basically crying by the end of season six, and I... *looks side to side* ...may have, um may have also *ahem... It's a good show.
You mean: All those questions* came back flooding
I don't care what anyone says: I love Lost - from beginning TO END.
The last half of the last episode was totally whack. So frustrating after so much build up
What do you mean?@@moretac
How did they not include “starring: my people” where they just show a bunch of clips of characters saying “my people”, “your people”, “locke’s people”, etc. I feel like that was constantly being said in the show. Am I the only one who noticed?
"Shut up .. red ... neck ... man!" - I still love that line all these years later.
Sawyer's look of surprised respect gets me every time
Touché!
It’s still so great.
"Unless their plan all along was too I'M AN INDUSTRIAL WELDER" Well I've heard of crazier plans

Just binge watch this show last week. It's still good. Even with all the heavy supernatural stuff.

Just wanted to say that was awesome but also followed by another accurate gem "CONCUSSIONS"
@Ethan Carey During the process of electing a new pope they signal to the outside whether or not they have come to a decision yet by either putting out black smoke (no decision yet) or white smoke (decision is made).
Also my fav from the video. Quietly clever.
I would've missed that one if you hadn't pointed it out. That is a good one.
I never missed an aired episode from when i was 14 to 19, and i still love it so much after I binge-rewatched it in adulthood. Every joke here is SO GOOD. Every montage is CHEF'S KISS. I AM DYING. This is gold.
Say what you want about Lost, it was epic and unforgettable and it will never, EVER be replaced.
It was epic and unforgettable but the payoff in the end was not anywhere near enough. Which Cheapens in retrospect all the unforgettable epic moments.
Ok the Hurley Van episode was WAY better than the Jack's Tattoos episode.
It was the funniest episode of the series
“Tricia Tanaka is dead” is one the most fun and rewarding episodes of the entire show. Jin, Sawyer, Charlie and Hurley fixing a van and drinking with a skeleton in the middle of the jungle? Yes please. “Whatever the case may be” is the crap episode they left out.
Definitely! Every time I hear the song "Shambala," I think fondly about that episode!
Tbh all Hurley-driven episodes were just golden.
Yes, I felt personally attacked when he called it out!
Me: *sees 4 seconds of The Constant and gets overwhelmed with emotion*
My favorite episode of any series.
That was the best episode from Lost. Hands down.
I won't call for 8 years. December 24th 2004. Christmas eve. I promise.
I screamed when Daniel told Desmond to find his past self. It was at that moment I knew this would be the best episode ever.
So say we all.
Despite it's convoluted ending, LOST remains amazing and unmatched. Seasons 1-3, if released during the streaming wars, would have spawned countless more seasons of equal quality
Season 1-3 had like 70+ episodes, of really great quality. That would be equivalent to 7 seasons in todays 10-episode per season format. You don't shows of such consistency anymore
Seasons 1-3 1/2 were good, later in the third season, it really went downhill.
Great trailer 😂🤣 I was reading other peoples comments and I agree it's a shame there's no compilations of Desmond saying "Brotha" or Claire screaming "My bahbay". I think Drive Shaft's seemingly one and only hit "You all everybaaady" deserved a mention too 🤣
Its "They took MY BAY BEE" 😆
The Black Smoke No Pope joke was by far the funniest thing in this trailer.
Black Smoke No Pope Great band name
I agree! XD

Haha i still do it. lol
Bad robot 🎉🎉
Just trying to imagine all of hundreds of hours of footage you had to go through to make this😳
I was thinking that too!!
pretty sure they use a software. Like one website searches ALL of youtube's videos for specific words in a ton of languages too.
@@mobbs8229 I always assumed they have the scripts and search (have a computer search) for recurring words
The show in its entirety adds up to a bit more than 90 hrs. And that already includes all the end credits.
I was just thinking the same. Respect!
That time when Sawyer says, "hey look, there's my favourite leaf!"
He had the best lines. "You sure know how to butter a man up, Stay Puft" 🤣
When he called Charlie “Jiminy Cricket”😂
Hahahaaha this brought back a good laugh. Sawyer is priceless haha

@@recoveringsoul755 well it was a TV show, lol they had parties all the time while filming and it led to some people drinking and driving and getting written off the show . i bet Hurley was taking advantage of that all you can eat catering. they tried to explain it away on the show by adding mysterious food drops and Hurley eating it all up. there was one scene of Hurley huffing down a monstrous jar of peanut butter. of course, he still would have burned a lot of those calories off and gained muscle just by running around the island all day.
watching Once Upon a Time is basically "oh you were in lost, and you were in lost, AND YOU WERE IN LOST!"
Every time I saw Belle, all I can think of is "Where's my bay-bay? Where's Aaaaaron?"

Eh, to me it was more "Let's put everyone from Lost in a Disney fanfic that's somehow more embarrassing and childish than Kingdom Hearts."
The Lost episode end reveal that got me to watch the rest was when they revealed Locke used to be crippled. That and I also shouted Lost almost every time at that last part.

Man I'm just so sick of people who barely watched the show saying it left so many questions unanswered or that they think they were dead the whole time.. They weren't dead.. and when you actually get specifics out of them they're nearly all easy answers.
I feel like Charlie's death isn't talked about enough, that killed me best and worst moment of the show
If he'd just stayed on the heroin, the island would have still needed him. There was probably a field of poppies on a mountain top.
THE CAMPFIRE DIARIES!! I knew there would be a Vampire Diaries reference
Also a fun fact: a lot of the characters were named after philosophers
Oh yeah John Locke
And that meant nothing in the end
Daniel Faraday was named after Michael Faraday
Mikael Bakunin (The one eyed Russian dude)
Desmond Hume
To be honest, this show was the pinnacle of TV for me. There hasn't been anything that's come out since that could compare.

Having no internet access at the time, found an almost complete box set of Lost DVD's in a charity shop. Had never heard of it. Bought it and watched. Then went searching for the episodes missing from the box set. Visited municipal libraries and various DVD rental/sales outlets, charity shops, scoured markets far and wide travelling by bicycle till i had them all. Ultimately the struggle was more memorable than the achievement.

LOST is so awesome. Will never forget it.
"A writers room in need of therapy" made my day
The scene when Sayid was interrogating Ben in the bunker about “burying the woman he loved”, after he had to bury Shannon is the best moment in Lost and it had nothing to do with the mysteries or the island.
That's the stuff that truly makes Lost amazing, the emotional, intriguing and deeply satisfying character moments that drives the whole show forward.
"You would remember"
Omg one of the ads came on up a syllable or two before he revealed something...... Absolutely *PERFECT* timing - I'm in stitches 😂😂😂😂😂
I’ll help everyone out. The point of the show was about “lost” people finding redemption. The island and all of its mysteries was just a tool to help people along their personal journey.
