  • I was entirely overwhelmed. As an appreciator and collector, I will need to watch this video a few times to fully understand.   • I am really interested in Ivo himself. I would love to hear his family's history and his story of becoming a friar in the Holy Land then leaving and ending up in China. Such a fascinating history.

  • of COURSE he’s a crime writer. This is basically like stepping into “Knives out” or an Agatha Christie. The Batcave, the skeletons in the floor(??), the large collection of asian artefacts...the stories basically write themselves

  • I really like the format you are using for now- Tuesday and Thursday at my “home “ chateau and Sundays visiting at another chateau home. Although Michael was unable accompany you as I originally thought, Phillip is the PERFECT wingman! I hope chateau Gudanes is on your list…it looks so lovely in its chateau shabby chic videos. And the chateau of George Sand and Chopin. Thank you for taking us on these lovely tours but sparing my aching back and feet, not to mention my pocketbook!

So while I understand your sentiment, I find it very selfish. BBC would be a wonderful recognition for her. Maybe you are not aware of what the BBC epitomises in Europe when it comes to quality documentary making and the tradition of wonderful cultural programming.

Channel 4 is not even in the same league, and I am sure a little competition is only beneficial for the viewers, Stephanie owes no loyalty to them.     • Dear Evelyn. Wife and daughters and son well and alive. They live here before but for studies and sport this was a little complicated. My wife drive 132 kms daily to took them to schools and here is nice but complicated: few schools, almost no doctors or medical care, no sports facilities...in Bangkok much easier.and funnier. Before COVID i visit them every two months and they come for summer holidays and Christmas. Now is becoming very difficult and thanks God my daughter Kor gave a nice phone with this wasap thing and we can talk and see one to each other. thanks and regards. Ivo

  • I love how he has carefully restored each and every space by respecting the architecture of the chateau and at the same time showcasing his treasures from all over the world with a carefully chosen decoration that varies from room to room to keep your eyes awaiting to be amazed again and again. Better than a museum I would say ! Wow ! Even having the resources, I can't imagine how many years of his life have been devoted to this huge project!

  • I just rewatch the diaries from the beginning and just look the one where Isabelle and Stephanie visit Ivo during the first lockdown. Imagine my wonder, when I step late into this premiere and met Ivo again. Feel like a timelapse. What a wonderful home full with treasures! How happy you are to visit him and explore everything.   • Wow! This place is a museum! He could charge money for tours maybe 6 hours a day 3 days a week. Have a B&B on the weekends. Had to play this over 3x! Excellant Find Stephanie! Would love to hear Ivo's whole life story. Amazing.

  • The hotels and business towers, in our cities were inundated with pigeons but now they have specialty treated corn they put out on the roofs and gutters and it makes them hallucinate so they don’t come back. Stops the birds from crapping all down the buildings. It’s crazy , I can remember when there were hardly any pigeons in our city but they obviously have few predators because the city is overrun and even the suburbs are starting to get more and more of them. Maybe he could get some hallucinogenic corn for his pigeons, cheater than the processes he spoke of.......unless they like being stoned. Gorgeous Chateau , so many beautiful collections. Thanks for taking us along. 🙋🏼

  • Ivo is such an interesting gentleman! He has collected so many interesting pieces and I very much admire the way he has displayed his collection. He would make a wonderful museum curator. Like Phillip, I was especially drawn to the painting of his wife and children and to the photograph of his father with the king of Spain. Can’t wait to see the rest of the chateau!
