  • Thank you so much for your hard work. As an ex vegan who got brainwashed that all farmers are terrible and the dairy industry must be destroyed, I am happy to see the truth now 🥲 We need to support our farmers!

  • An awful lot of sense spoken in your little monologue at the end. As a youngster my farm was not only the best playground in the world it was also the greatest classroom ever, we all put into practise what we learned while “playing” as children. Health & Safety has its place but we need to give our youngsters their heads to venture out and discover. Well done as always Adrian, you’d be a fantastic ambassador for the industry. 👍

I watch 2 farming (cows milking & beef) channels and 2 sheep channels. No click baiting, no scaremongering, if any of you did I wouldn't watch again. I'm half Irish & very proud to be. Take care God bless & take care 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

  • Adrian, I love this channel I have watched from when you had very few subs, I work as a chef on a super yacht so appreciate your end product so much and understand the work and commitment you have to put into get it (milk ) to market, at the end of a 15 hour day watching your videos it completely chills me out to see someone grafting for a quality product like we do on here for the crazy rich people , keep up the good work, I salute you sir .

  • I know I've commented before on this, but I agree 100% with what you were saying about getting young people familiar with farming, because it scares me seeing how many people of all ages simply do not know where our food comes from. I especially applaud you for getting your girls out there and teaching them all the aspects of running your farm. I'm born & bred inner-city, but on summer break my parents would send me to tour the various family farms with a whole gaggle of cousins my age, and we'd all stay for a week before we all moved to the next farm. I had a lot of experience and learning denied to me and the other female cousins, just because they deemed certain chores as "men's work." Even so, I look back and know I love that we got to do that. Absolutely precious memories.

  • All so well explained as usual. It’s a long time since I milked last time was in a 16/16 parlour 250 Friesian but it was now and then when the relief milked or herdsman weren’t available so it was only once in a blue moon. I was the tractor driver ( blues and greens no reds lol ). But I sit and watch you milk and listen to your explanations and it’s like I am back there and all before most of us have even woken. Great work Adrian keep it up.

When I was young I thought dairy farmers got up early milked the cows and then had nothing to do until milking in the evening again. But I found out different when I went to work on a dairy farm. Keep up the great work. 💪

A smaller farm to you but also worked in a large dairy farm as well, but had to stop to earn a fair living 25 years ago (I.m in my mid 40’s now) worked 16 hour days(most days) but strangely miss it every day. What you say at the end of the video resonates with me 25 plus year later. Kids if you’re watching IT IS THE BEST JOB EVER! 👍☘️👏

  • Great stuff, grew up around farms in the UK, most of my mates were farm kids, used to spend a lot of time in the yards, around the beef herds of two friends, in the cabs of tractors and combines in the fields… and used to get milk every morning from the dairy farm next door so this brings back memories. You’re spot on with everything you say. Wouldn’t mind going into farming myself now but in my late 30s feel it might be a bit late to be starting that…

Walking through a herd of 150 cows, getting them into the parlor on a freezing cold Winter night. Looking up at a cloudless, starlit night. It was absolutely magical at times. Nice clean operation here too.

  • I can’t remember what the buckets were from but we used large ones to wet things down. If you put them out as it’s emptying (pipe clean) they were ready and a quick chuck would cover a lot of it. Buckets were probably 3 times a normal one. It was very quick… The only stress milking was catching the one being treated milk. It was definitely one of the best parts of the day 👍

  • interesting to watch the milking, been almost 20 years since we last did it (also in a 8 unit herringbone) so good in a way that things haven't changed too much. 1 thing we always did was wear a hat when milking, a neighbors daughter took it up a few years ago to make a few quid over the summer and was asking me tips, so i told her to get a hat with a good rim. Used to also wet the floors before hand too to improve the wash down afterwards. o you have a power washer for the final washdown? found the mains water hose was fine or washing the cows and doing a bit of cleaning but not much use for the big wash.
