  • Farmers around the world don't get the appreciation they deserve.

    • Only good farmers deserve it, not the ones who separate mother cows and calves after birth. Yes, this also happens, dear KZhead viewers! A forced separation, so that some cruel farmers get all the milk. There are also abusive farmers who let the calf stay with her or his mother, but don't allow the calf to nurse as much as she or he needs!

I’ve worked dairy farm’s before and me and my brother are saving to buy our own farm. I’m only 15 and obviously don’t get much money so it’s tough but Farming has been apart of my life for ages, it was my dad who started farming but he had to leave and me and my brother followed his footsteps. It takes time but hopefully with money coming in, we should have our own farm in the next year or 2. It’s just finding one we can afford as a family (me, my brother and dad)

    • @The Havoc ai is honestly pretty messed up in my opinion, but if you're ok with that, then I won't argue about that. And about the calves, I mostly asked the question to make you/the original commenter to think about it. Most dairy calves don't even get the luxury of pasture (especially males), and are kept in tiny pens where they can hardly move. Even if they do end up pastures, they have to be orphaned and confined at least until weining age. I feel the whole system is messed up. 1 year, out of the 20 years they'd live naturally. 1 year and they're just toddlers, taken to slaughter, which I call living hell.
