In this Video i build a battery powered Welding table, it works with a 18volt battery. The Batteryplug on the side is a 18v Lamp. The Motor is a 24volt windshield wiper Motor. The Gearwheels are from an old lathe and the Control regulation is a PWM-Control (About 10-15€ in eBay or Amazon). Please mind that i don't Show any cabeling in this Video, you shouldn't do any thing of this if you are not to 100% sure what you're doing!!!
I Tig Brazed everything to gave my Turntable a industial look, with the holes in the Bottom I'm able to screw it to my Weldingtable to secure it.
This is not a step by step Explanation Video and i build everything with my personal skills.
Chuck's a smooth operator who seems to have a thing for being tiggled.
That moment when you hit "Like" before the video even starts, because you already know it's good 💪
All your builds are incredibly inspiring! Keep up the amazing builds.
Thank you 😊
@@TheMetalist hi can you give me cad drawing file of this?
You should somehow prevent the welding current from flowing through the bearings. The copper band inside the housing is supposed to do just that. However, it should be spring loaded because the copper will eventually, quite soon actually, stop making a decent contact with the shaft as it looses the original tension. Being battery operated is a great idea !
Thank you 😊 to spring loaded the copper band its a great idea 💪🏻👍🏻
Nice work I especially like the battery powered wiper motor I’ll have to look into that I just powered a bead roller with one and am thinking of a sheet metal roller powered the same way Than depending on how they last was thinking of powering a tube bender/roller
Straight forward and simple! Love it! Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work!
Thank you 😊
Ohh man - It's time for us all to pick the pace - That was awesome, thanks ;)
Thank you 😁
Brilliant idea , I'd like to make one , looks light enough & safer than the old mercury grease filled ones , well done good job
Thank you 😊
Watching this dude's channel has me ordering a Lincoln 200 tig welder. Should be here soon. 😁
Excellent!. It is truly a gift to be able to build things and a luxury to have the time and energy to do so. When we have these characteristics, we must remember not to ever take them for granted. Thumbs up!.
Thank you 😊
I just recently started welding and although I still suck I really enjoy it. Your videos are inspirational! Fantastic job!!!
Your workshop is amazingly professional. Be blessed
Thanks man 😁
You are like Poetry in motion and a pleasure to watch Great Video as per usual Thankyou.
Thank you 😁
Incredibly inspiring. Lots of great tips and style hidden in this build. I’m going to add this to my list of build projects now. 👍😊👍. Thank you for recording and sharing ! Joel.....
Thank you Joel 😁
You got a very good hand at tig welding and fabrication skill. I am trying to build up my home shop to get more welding jobs in the smalltown in TN. looking for shop tools for metalwork. I would love to get my hands a turntable and a few other shop items. Been retired from the aerospace industry as a precision welder. I enjoy watching your videos keep it up. Thanks
Thank you 😁 nice Aerospace 😮 my main job is in a rollercoaster company and i do a lot of side hustle welding job 😁 and finally i take my time to build everything that i always wanted to build 😁
Pulse for tacking, looks great.
Yes, I was inspired and already collected some artifacts, but I will do it on 220v. But according to your design. Cool video
Thats nice to hear 😁 thank you
@@TheMetalist 👍
Great work man. Great time lapse photography etc. Love the 'get right to it format' with no talking about crap for 20 minutes. I will build your table and maybe this rotator. Definitely inspired and I have subscribed. WHere did you get the 3 finger chuck? Same old lathe the gears come from? Thank you sir.
Thank you 😁 des from that old lath
Another awesome build and video thanks for sharing love your work👍😀inspired to try building my own 🙏
Thank you 😁 it is actully my third welding table that i build. I allways improved it 😅
The brass fill rod was a nice touch !
Thank you 😁
Excellent build, very innovative. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you 😁 you are welcome
favorite fabricator to watch hands down 🙌🏼 love the way you build, as well as edit. also I'm curious, what kind of taps do you use? are they a specific brand or anything?
Fabrication genius !
Very satisfying watching you build things.
Thank you 😁
Dobra robota 👍 negatywa dali ci co sami potrafią tylko wyszczać dziurę w śniegu 😊
Thank you 🙂
Excelente idea 👍💡. Saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷
Hey @6061 you're inspiring other channels! Love the OG
Sehr sehr cool! Kommt auf die Liste der Dinge, die ich noch bauen muss! 😎🤙🏻
Sie sind ein wahrer Könner und Meister. Toll.
Dankeschön sowas hört man gerne 😅👍🏻
I'm building one of these currently. Wish I knew those all in one speed controllers with the direction switch existed. Would've saved a lot of time, but I've learnt a bit about electronics doing it the way I have. My rotating chuck is being made out of s/s so drilling & filing out a square hole is a chore. The gears are cool too. I used a motor bike chain & sprocket in hindsight the gears would be the way to go. Watched this video 2 weeks too late, but saying that. If I run in to reliability issues, I can change the set up similar to yours.
Nice ... learning by doing same like me 😅 Thank you for that nice Feedback 😁
@@TheMetalist keep up the good work! Watched a few videos now. I wish I could keep my work space as clean as you do.
I am cleaning a lot in between 😅
Well, i didn't know that i needed this but i sure do need it!
Your excellent craftsmanship must be shared with the rest of us eager to achieve greatness but without plans, *measurement, approximately only* and what kind of motor and wiring diagrams (most welders don't know much about electronics) it would take painstaking hours that most of us don't have, only to end up frustrated. Be a team player and post your diagrams. I'm willing to donate for your effort as sure as others will. It's worth it. Thanks in Advance, an admirer. Phoenix One.
It would be cool to have a parts an electric controls break down KZhead some where . Lord knows, I'm not the guy for that job.
I need one for my garage!
😁
one of the coolest builds I've seen!
Thank you 😁
This isn't just a person who makes or fabricates things. This is a person who engineers things. This is all highly fascinating. This newly discovered channel has my mind thinking about few projects I've had in mind.
Nice 💪👍
Wow That's real trick, Very nice job guy!
Thank you 😁
Wow. Nice job on this!
Thank you 😁
Parabéns, top top top...... onde você comprou essa régua com suporte ajustável ? Obrigado
Pretty awesome man , your channel came across my suggestions list. Subscribed 👍
Thank you 😁
Absolutely amazing my man wish I could get this good one day ha
😁💪
Awesome job quality work and great video no hype just all quality workmanship..just subscribed
Полезное приспособление. Всех благ.
Awesome video and build. Thanks for sharing
Thank you 😊
What a great design! Well done my friend...
Thank you 😁
Brilliant mate ...absolutely brilliant skill set🧠
Thank you 😁
Great job, I wonder given the slightly golden color of the welds if you have used silicon bronze as a tig -rod. I understand that there is no benefit and it is just an increase in costs. But from the color that can be an optical effect this idea comes to me. In case I thought it was for purely aesthetic purposes giving a line close to INDUSTRIAL STYLE or STEAMPUNK? ..... looking at it well, it seems to me it could be an optical effect due to the warm light and perhaps also to the reach of argon.
New subscriber! Thanks for your amazing content. Quick question: What is that adjustable ruler that you use to mark off of called? Looks super handy!
Thank you 🙂 Measuring gauge!
Great build. I wish I had seen this before making my own years ago, would saved me a lot of headaches
Thank you 😊 i planned a couple weeks befor and battery powered was a last minute desicion 😁
@@TheMetalist yeah that was really smart. I used a cordless drill to drive a gearbox. Now I'm gonna have to make a new... one thanks a lot hahaha
Make a Video maybe than i have to build a new one 😅
Great vid mate and love ur mag drill set up 👍👍
Thank you 😊
Świetna robota!!!
Awesome video. What do you use to draw grid lines on your table?
Love the video mate, well done. Whats the ruler (thing) you use for marking out? And what make is it?
Seoirse Mcadam have a look at Axminstertools.com and type in steel layout square... should get you close.
Stainless Steel Parallel Marking Gauge 200mm Vernier Caliper Carbide Scriber HL Type this into eBay UK and you'll find it. If you get stuck, let me know. Cheers
Awesome build! What sort of speed range would you recommend? And what was the tooth count on those gears?
Thank you 😊 1til 8 turns per Minute. The tooth are 25 and 100
Hi @The Metalist, what brand/model is that adjustable edge ruler/scriber? (4:21) I love your engineering on the fly method of building, it's inspiring.
I would like to purchase one aswell. Does anyone know if he made it?
Same here, tried googling "lockable ruler" etc. Nothing.
Very nice work, Great video, thanks for sharing
Dude, this is great! Thanks so much for sharing this! This will be perfect for me and I can't wait to get started.
Thank you 😊 send me some pictures if you are finished 😁
Smart setup!
Would love some plans for this badboy! And an electronics partlist.
Im planing another one with parts that everybody are able to buy.
And for that one i will draw some plans
Have you have time to make some plans and parts list?
@@TheMetalist That was a year ago... any progress for a certain date? Thanks. Please let us know soon, everybody is waiting on you. Peace
just subscribed, awesome and inspiring, keep your projects coming!
Thank you 😁 i will
Top notch work!
Thank you 😁
Is there a worry of fringe the electrical and battery when you are wielding? Because I know when we get our trucks welded on it is a good practice to disconnect the battery before welding
What a fantastic build! Great craftsmanship, design, and production. Creativity is truly alive here. Thanks!
Thank you 😊
How do you protect your wall from weld burns? When I stick and MiG in my garage my splatter hits my painted walls and leaves little brown marks. What do you do for your shop? I know I can’t be the only one with this problem lol
Super Arbeit! Ganz toll 😊
Dankeschön 😁
Nicely done.
Thank you 😊
Brilliant build. The making I can do but how is it wired up, I'm clueless? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers
From the DC Motor to the PWM control (its maked +/-) and than to the battery. Its actully very easy 😅
I’ll give it a go. Cheers👍
Mad skills. Your layout work is amazing. Just like your welding and creativity. Video editing too?
Thank you 😁
Do the battery's run dead flat if left on or will it power off before so it wont be pron to empty battery damage
Nice build, man!
Thank you 😊
Fantastic build:)
Thank you 😊
Awesome build! Can you post a link to that band saw you are using and that layout tool you use to mark the holes
Thank you 😊 The Saw is a Optimum Optisaw S 100G. The Layout tool ... do you have inch or mm? Many people want to now that😊
What tool you use for center drill? It look more easy than center punch 😅
Awesome build man did you use silicon bronze on those joints ? it really looks incredible;)
Really nice. Great work.
Thank you 😁
Sehr inspirierendes Video. Werd ich definitiv Nachbauen. Welche Zahnrad größe nimmt man für sowas am besten? Welche hast du dafür genommen?
That is a nice ruler you have for marking, where did you get it?
Ottimo lavoro molto bravo e preciso complimenti.. Mi piacerebbe costruirlo.. Hai uno schema per costruire la tavola rotante e i vari pezzi?
Good job mate 👍
Thanks John 😊
Somebody get this man a fucking 🥇. This dude is a genius.
😅Thank you 😁
Cool build just need to add foot control on/off switch
Thank you 😊 yes thats right .... its planed 😁
Chapeau..Prachtig.. UItmuntend stielmanschap !! Louis.
Wish you could find a decent weld positioner that wasn't super expensive. Looking into building for that reason.
Yes they are not cheap 😅
Awesome build.. 👍🏽🇺🇸👍🏽
Great job! What is that clamp @ 2:54? It could be perfect for a horseshoeing fabrication I do.
They are from wolfcraft
Fantastic videos! Could watch all day. What marker/pen are you using?
Thank you 😊 its a Edding 8850
Awesome!! Did you make your table top?
That was awesome!
We have the same feeling guys ;) I love your work. Your vids give me many inspiration
Thank you 😁
Amazing idea!
Thank you 😊
Good work and excellent some some, I m Indian
Thank you 😊
Hi, what was the braided copper strap around the main shaft for? Love your videos btw.
I was wondering that. I believe it's to ensure the workpiece in the chuck is adequately "earthed" to the table and hence the welder earth.
Straight to the point no BS I don't understand mate you should have like 100k plus subs or something your projects are awesome you made me want to go back to my shed and work on some shit! Awesome!
Thank you 😊 yeah step by step I'm getting there 😅
Wonder what taps he is using? What brand. Seems to be tough mine always wear out.
Amazing work! Is that brass fill rod or silicone bronze? Just subscribed a minute ago...:)
Thank you 😊 its silicon bronze
You’re my hero.
Oh ok 😅 Thank you 😁
Just Love It!
Thank you 😁
Great work dude. One question though how long have you been welding and what job do you do if you do have a welding job
Thank you 😁 I work with metal about 18years now ... and since 4years I work as a production Supervisor in a Rollercoaster factury 😁 and working with metal is also a hobby of mine
😃This guy is good! 👏👏😃👍
Thank you 😁
The self taping bits you used and the measuring gauge . Was wondering were you purchased and nrand names
Somebody shared a Link....cant find it at the moment 😅
Fai dei progetti incredibili....una domanda che saldatrice a tig hai? E come ti trovi?
