How to build a hand made bicycle frame with basic tools with YOSEPOWER Conversion Kit

I used to often handmade build bicycles. But those were very eye-catching bikes, “beach cruisers”. The last one was probably 12 years ago. Back then I wanted to build a bicycle frame made of polished stainless steel. Although stainless steel is not the best material for a bicycle frame. Now it turned out that it had worked. It was an e-bike, I thought it would be more complicated, especially with the wiring, but it was really plug and play. The polishing was actually the most complex part of the construction. Next time I would choose larger pipes and put all the cable stuff in the frame. But the whole construction was a lot of fun.

Your use of basic tools and few jigs makes this project look really approachable. I’ve seen so many frame building videos that make it look more difficult than it is. Thanks for that!
basic tools lol😂
They are fairly basic. We’re you expecting him to use a home repair kit and tape?
It's not just a basic tool you got the skill of making it perfect frame of the bike.
Boy, the best video on KZhead! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻...
Tig weld, special table for welding, 4 different grinding machines, hydraulic press. Yes, its exactly basic tools...
click-bait it is 😂
30 seconds into the video and I'm like darn, I have none of those tools. But I guess this is basic for metal working shop.
All these keyboard warriors who all made their last bike frame with two hand files, some emery-cloth and a paraffin blow lamp. Sheesh! Give the man credit… he built most of his own tools, welding table etc. on which he constructed this frame. I wouldn’t want to ride anything that heavy, but… give the man credit, for goodness sake.
Go find a video of a bike frame being built by a professional. You will find lots of specialized tools. These are all basic tools you will find in any metal shop.
Yeah plus argon gas etc. This title video title is bs.
Awesome as always! Love your work and always inspiring solutions - your channel and ToT are my favorites - Cheers mate
Thank you....awesome 😊💪
Liking the hone made stand for the magnetic drill press, great idea 💡
Excellent work! Loved all the practical solutions. 👏🍻
Another Genius Build!!! Nice work Dirk! 👏 👍👍
Thank you 😊
Pure Joy to watch! What a craftsman you're just to build your own bike like this. Flabberghasted how easy it looks. A bridge too far for me but so learnsome in all the details from which we may destillate features which helps us tremendously to build our own projects. Masterly!!!😀💯💪🚴🚴♀
Yes, it’s always a joy to watch a “How-to” video in fast forward without a single word spoken or explanation given. No?…NO!
I sold a set of forks just like these a few months ago! Lovely build!!
What a tank of a frame!
Rad build! Grease your headset, seatpost and bottom bracket during install though! I have seen spokes used as filler for these stainless builds as well! Cheers!
Thank you 😊 Yes missed the seatpost 😅 What the spokes 😱 not in my video
Incredible work man
Thank you 😁
Wie immer großes Kino💪
Vielen Dank 😊
Awesome work as always 👍
Thank you 😁
I am going to do this Friday with some Basic Tools and then ride to work on Monday.
NO NEED BLUE PRINT. ALL YOU NEED IS STRONG THEORY, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILL . I REALLY LIKE THIS GENTLEMAN 'S VIDEO. LOVE IT
I really like his extraordinary ideas
Man you are extremely talented wish I had a quarter of your talent
Talent alone is not enough, risk taking, skill and proper tools are also required. If you have tools just be confidence and try it. Wanting is being able, it just takes time and you shouldn't be in a hurry.
Thank you 😊 yes with time a lot of thinks are possible. Where there is a will there is a way. Greetings
Great build sequence. Very nice results. 👍🙂👍
Thank you 😁
Perfeição feito a mão parabéns 👏 😍
Einfach genial Dirk👍👍👍
Vielen Dank 😊
Fantastic!!!
I love these videos ❤ Be successful ❤
Thank you 😁
Beautiful. Good job 😅
Cool,Easy,Super fast
Hats off to ya
Good job👍
👍Would like to see an all metal speargun build. Never seen one done.
Very Well done SIR WOW
Thank you 😊
Magnifique travail Merci
Thank you
"Basic tools" yeah everybody has a welder, pilar drill, metal cutting bandsaw, steel table etc, in their garage. 🤣
Nice to have one 😇😌
The things in America are really amazing, so I'm in awe of you
Really beautiful job................ congratulations.
Sehr gute Arbeit.
Vielen Dank 😊
How long did it take you to learn to TIG weld ? Can you give us a bit of your background in welding. You do a nice job of it; something we amateur hacks aren't too likely to match any time soon but we can aspire to.
Excelent!
Like to know were you got your fork head from or how you went about making it ? Making a E bike now but want to know if you can buy one of the shelf before making press tools ..ta
Genio total!
By looking at the angle on that head tube, I bet you used to race BMX. Impressive build, thanks for building!
Thank you 😁 i did some Mountain biking in my early days
Nice BMX electric 😁😁
Hahah the cutting machine with sticker SUBSCRIBE 😂😂😂
What kind of steel was used and what state was this shot in? Great video
Most DIY ebike builders dreams of building a frame that is integrated with the battery.
SuperExtraMegaEstetic Desire! Totally Great! ❤😊
Bravo 👏👌
how much does the frame and wheels weight ? nice project.
what pen is you use to mark it?
Very good
I feel like the threads holding the battery could be a bit too anemic, has that given you any problems?
pls weld a stealth bomber ebike frame
Good job! How much does it weigh?
Did you put a torque arm on ?
I was a tad confused by one of the shots were you already had the wheels put on, before finishing the rest of the assembly. And I have to ask if the only thing that's holding the battery in place is a series of tie-wraps. In my opinion you still need to add a kickstand. But overall it looks very nice, with a sleek design.
Thank you 😊 i just checked if everything is in line. Sometime it looks staight but it is not 😅 yes a kickstand... Greetings
13:40 three bolts not zip ties
Complimenti
Hi, I'm from NYC, how much do you charge for a frame?
Was thinking it was chromoly...but 9.5 lbs. says it's hi tensile steel. Unless the tubing is extremely thick . Nice work building the frame and whole bike..marino custom chromoly hardtails are 3.1 kg 300 bucks.
awesome
Thank you 😁
wow keren brother...👍👍👍
Mit welchem gas formierst du?
Impressive...
Nice work. this frame can support a Yamaha R1 motor :-)
Salamat po
guys, what type of air did he put inside the tube during TIG welding?
Basic tools for a fab shop
Nicely done. Yet the frame is quite heavy, should have used better/lighter tubes though the electric motor compensates some of that. And the overall size seems a little compact for the rider, like a youth size on a grown man. If this was the first frame project, it's a nice start, can make it better next time.
Wow das ist echt beeindruckend! Lg Katharina
Vielen Dank 😊 Grüße zurück 👋
So many things I want to say… but I’ll just stick with this: “We don’t need no lubricants ‘round ‘ere, and if at first it don’t fit… Hammer it.”

ok where do you get the parts ie bottom bracket ,headtube , disc brake mounts for chain stay ....
I made the Bottom bracket and headtub on a late. Brake mounts made in the video
Genius, mt friend. It. was a pleasure watching you work. If I may ask, what was the final weight of the bike. Cheers!
Probably somewhere around 20kg lol
Aber all in all richtig schönes Projekt!
Is that titanium?
Tig weld, basic tools so what are the special tools

question, does it not need to be temped with heat first? i know alum bikes need it just wondering if stainless does as well?
This doesn't actually help with stainless steel and not all aluminum needs to be heat treated. There are aluminum alloys that do not require heat treatment
@@TheMetalist thanks for the response. i was never good with tig unfortunately. so i missed a lot of stainless stuff while learning stick/flux/mig. i tried doing tig a bunch of times. i can do steal, but thats about it. nothing ever works for Alum/Strain for me.
@@AlteredCarbons With a little time you can learn a lot😊
Would you post your videos on Odysee as well? You can mirror your YT channel.
Desse material
this is why i want to learn how to weld so i can make my own frame
TIG welders are expensive, a decent one at leat $2,000 plus you have to get gas bottles( Argon, CO2, etc depending on what your welding) You can buy a ready made Ti frame about same money.
Rad dude. Just shows you don't need all the fancy tools to make a bike.
Thank you 😊 i don't have space for fancy Big tools 😅
I’m confused it said in the beginning there was paid advertising. But as usual he never said anything or showed the name of the accessories he used. Great build a lot of angles go into building a bicycle.
Thank you 😁 The convert kit to a ebike is sponsor Greetings
sehr sehr cooler rahmen!! verarbeitest du eigentlich auch titan? lg elmar
Vielen Dank 😊 Also titan geschweißt habe ich schon. Aber als Fahrradrahmen noch nicht. Grüße Dirk
Nice work. I would have rather it not be an e-bike from an aesthetics perspective. But I get the functionality if that’s what you are going for.
Super bike... I want one😅
Thank you 😁
Why does he plug the holes and pump the inside full of a gas?
What is the top speed? 🚴🚴🚴
wird das nicht zu schwer?
What thickness (mm) is the workbench top?
8mm
Basic tool on which kind of shop???
Hello! Good job! Why stainless steel? Why not titanium, because it is lighter?
Hi thank you. I thought so but i'm not so experienced with titan 😅
