How to make a digital food web of your vivarium. (The start)
This video is a simplistic tutorial on how I made a food web on the relationships between the animals in my vivarium. Next update will be more in accordance to the series but thought this might entice some of you naturelovers!
Thank you for watching and have a fANTastic day!

really awsome
Tkx man Im just making vivarium
My pleasure!
you have to do more videos bro , they are super cool
Interesting video. I haven’t seen this done before. 😃👍🏼
Well thank you!! :D
Okay thanks for answering
That chart is a major undertaking! I have never seen anything take a bite out of a big slug...that was surprising. The only things I’ve seen eat slugs are ducks and skunks, but that salamander wasn’t playing. The vivarium is looking beautiful and busy. I’m loving your approach to this one, but I have to wonder if Odin will heal the slug...it is a bit like the perils of Pauline. Looking forward to the next episode.🖤🇨🇦
Thank you Tamarra
Nordic Ants looking forward to it.🖤🇨🇦
Hi nordic ants again i have a quick question why is vivbuilders a soo small place there are only 5 members thet said something over 2 times and i loved the vid and i think other people did too beacouse 0 dislike is impressive
so much videos :D these black flies are sciaridae?
Dont know! Will check them out and add them to the web :D
I have a question about keeping several ant colonies in one vivarium. What are species tgat can be kept together and what are the points that have to be considered to make it work? ( I would have planned to mix camponotus, formica fusca and themnathorax(european species))
Nordic Ants now constructing food webs? Arachnid confirmed.
Hahahah NICE! ;D
What are the lids of your vivariums like? how do you stop everything from getting out? surely most of it can climb the silicone?
I actually have nothing xD stuff just tries to come inside instead of escaping! Hahaha but sometimes I have used olive oil barrier
How is the vivarium lighted? It is so natural looking. Is it some sort of lighting system or situated by a window providing natural light. The effect is amazing however it's done.
Okay thanks i apreciate the help and i understand that you have some things to do outside youtube and you dont really have time for vivbuilders but thats just okay im still thankfull
Loved the video and i have some questions could you answer i posted on vivbuilders?
Absolutely!!! Will check in on the website tn
Thanks i apreciate the help
have u ever thought of a live cam stream of your vivarium? twitch maybe?
Thought about it!! Will do in future ;)
When will your next video be?
Im going to do it and btw guaz posted on vivbuilders and has a few questions
Will check it out! :D
Okay
I don’t know why but the title reminds me of the lucid chart video
How do you sustain the temperature of the vivarium because when I tried all my plants died. I need help please
My plants keep dying so I just put cacti in there.
What ever happened to the tropical vivarium? Also great vid keep it up!
how long did that take you? thats crazy but looks like it will be worth it 👍
We will see more of it soon :D maybe an hour not more!!
wait a min, u place the slug martin as a decompose, BUT how can you explain the fact that literally took the scorpion food out of his or her, mouth,.. ?? i am still really confuse by that fact
Scavenging on the dead worm ;) the scorpion could hunt it
Super video and like and subscribe
When are you going to have a new vid
Working on a new one for next week :D
THANK YOU!
No link im the Discription
Jeder der das Lesen kann muss jetzt mindestens eins meiner videos gucken!
Hi im on a forum and people are telling me its a bad idea of making a multi ant viv im blob on vivbuilders
Well you will have to listen to them and watch my videos and then decide by yourself! :D it has worked for me. I also answered you on vivbuilders Blob!! Was a pleasure
I am very well read on this "subject" and generally good at finding information. But predator-prey relations among invertebrates is almost impossible to find any good information about. In many cases it is not even known, or at least not well known. Just read a 154 page study of 2 (!) species of Carabus in a forest in Germany that raised a lot more questions than it answered...
😶👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😃
Are you swedish?
An easy way to do it would be to start from the bottom up. Bottom being the plants and scavengers, side by side. Next those that eat the plants or feed on the plants. Next to those are the ones that feed on the scavengers but not commonly on the scavengers. Next would be those that feed on these two groups. So on so forth. Till you get to the apex/es. And where you have ones the feed on both sides of those below them have a forked line coming from them to both and have them placed near the center of their line. With the ones that feed less often on the other side moving away from the middle. By the end you should end up with two pillars more or less with only those that feed on those in both pillars towards the center and those that don't feed on the other pillar on the outside of the pillars. It's easier to show what I mean then to describe it. I had to do something like that in high school many years ago for a biology class.
I think I got it!! Will try to impliment the strategy next time :D
@@nordicants6232 anyway I could send you a doc file so you can get a good clear picture of what I mean?
Do it on vivariumbuilders.com! General forum ;)
@@nordicants6232 Ok started an account. I will do make it asap and post it there in the general section.
Not too be rude but you still haven't answered on vivbuilders
Sorry for keeping you waiting!! Will take care for it shortly :D you are not rude at all. Thanks for reminding me
