    • @@nordicants6232 I liked this video, it was interesting. Could use better acting. Otherwise it's nice. There are all sorts of crazy stuff happening in ant colonies. For instance, I know that the female of a certain fly species will tear off it's wings after she mates and heads to an ant colony. Meanwhile, her stomach grows and starts to look like an ant pupa(?) and she starts producing ant pheromones. The ants mistake her for one of their pupae so they take her to the nursery near the actual eggs and pupae that she feeds on. Too bad they only inhabit the colonies of ant species that can only be found in remote areas and even then they're hard to spot and even if you spot one there's no use in researching it because no one would ever fund you. That's why so little is known about these bugs. I wonder where you get your facts from.

Their nests are often over 2 meters in height. No way that is just one queen. Guess they had to co-operate to survive the cold.

    • Okay i can take it! But imagine how this queen enters, alone, an entire colony of hundreds of workers! They usually but her by the legs and take her into the colony. :-) but it doesnt look good though! Shouldve had adviced to cool them down though, which i did. Have a fANTastic day to you!
