Ants Canada: “best bioactive ant vivarium ever!” Nordic ants: am I a joke to you
to be fair, antscanada could easily build something like this.
Chris Correa but he hasn’t 🤪
@@eRod30 yet
IMHO. Ants Canada has become a cliff hang/click bait stile channel. At least, I don't like how the videos are edited/narrated in the past half a year. I been searching for an alternative and this channel (thnx yt algorithm) is quite promising.
@@WebAnimeFantasy I agree 100%"

Sorry for taking him
strawberries usually have some crazy pesticides on them. the kind you cant wash off
Videos like this are my favorite and so hard to find. No explosive background music or out of place sound effects, just knowledge and animals from a source that doesn't sound like its been ripped from fifth grade textbooks. Thank you! :D
@@nordicants6232 Nord bro! I was just finish watching ants Scandinavia failed trying to recreate your bio-divesrve setup. It made me realize that you really did create something unique and amazing in these videos. Ive looked all over to see if someone else has succeed like you did but nope, all have failed. Even though you retired from the hobby, i hope you can look back and see how far ahead you were with that setup and take pride in it! Me will miss you dude.
@@DarthVantos Im back soon! with a same sized but in europe :D never leaving you guys, just takes some time to move etc..

This is one of my most sought after goals in life. I love mini ecosystems. I dream of having a house with all types of these terrariums/vivariums/fish tanks etc. What you've done is absolutely amazing and inspiring to me.
All these amazing things flying through your window. Where do you live?
Bangkok city!! Very central too xD
@@nordicants6232 imagine if u did this in a village or something
Ok, this is just the coolest thing I have ever seen in my life.
Omg thats an honor
@@nordicants6232 I mean, it is so awesome. Like an micro rain forest
You should try to make different styles of Vivariums Like the one you have right now is like all tropical species I would love to see like a desert one with Ant Lions and Desert Ant species and Bearded dragons would be an amazing addition to that
Bearded dragons is OD
World of Ants what about a temperated one? ;)
Imagine both a Formica Fusca colony and a Formica Rufa colony that are at odds with one another while the main predators are Devils Coach horse beetles and Wolf spiders?
@@fishyfishyfishy500akabs8 no rufa
@@antsareawesome9284 alright, what other colonies could live with the fusca then, I think a carpenter ant could possibly fill the niche of "big ant"
"But yeah, some are just ungratefull" Made me lol.
Ohh, thnx yt algorithm, finally a channel that seems a real alternative to Ants Canada. They IMHO have become a click bait/cliff hang stile, at leat I don't like the editing/narrating of the past half a year +. There's no No need to clicky bait stuff, people that search for this type of concent have already a clear idea of what they want to watch. So please, keep this stile or evolve it as you want, just don't do it ants Canada style. XD NEW SUB!
Welcome!
Please keep your videos informative yet entertaining just like this one. If this was done by antscanada, it would start: " I have introduced the grim reapers to the world chasm, they wage wars against the krakens of the underworld and dominate the forests of anastasia. Their mortal enemies, the scourges of the universe quickly collapses their horrid rule over space and time."
Indeed - although AntsCanada seems to target children with his vids
blargor123 I agree but I mean he puts out new content this whole video is just reuse old clips I enjoyed the video but Pros and cons I guess
Twichlove 999 yea
I mean those aspects of his videos add a certain charm , suspence and storytelling aspect that many people enjoy , including me
@@jihangirastra3851 Each to their own I guess. but I personally do not like him poisoning guppies and making 20 minute videos about dead tarantulas.
I love how this vivarium has managed to sustain itself and prosper with wildlife. 40 minutes to go too. Also quick question, why aren't there any ads?
Twichlove 999 don’t ask about a lack of ads. These are the kinds of things that get them added
@@Churrb why not support nordic as he makes these videos?
I'd happily watch a full midroll from this guy
Twichlove 999 o ya good point
Twichlove 999 thank you guys so much!!! Hahaha i prefer not to put ads for my early subscribers ;)
I am very impressed with your work. AntsCanada needs to learn a few pointers from you, because having millions of subscribers doesn’t trump quality content creators like you.
Wow thanks! Thats a huge comment
I understand the ants canada comparison but he makes fundamentally different content than nordicants. Canada tries to make one species the focus and helps them flourish, Nordic tries to recreate ecosystems
ah yes ants canada, the non-Canadian channel that never deals with Canadian ants. His content is clickbait trash.
Yeah he’s good but he makes like 1 every half a year and ants Canada a week so antcanadw is better in my books
Ya ants Canada has gone down hill in the last year or so I still watch every week lol but still not as good as 2 or so years ago
I hope you'll add some red tailed fairy shrimp, Daphnia, and cyclops eggs to the pond. Once they reach adulthood, they will lay eggs that can survive dry conditions. Maybe get some real pond water to add to the vivarium pond for more natural critters, like Planaria and Hydra and infusoria. If you can find any add some isopods to the vivarium.
Or isopods
It'a been so long! I got shivers when I saw that notif.
me too
Same
Omg you guys are too much!! Hahahah much löve
I'd like to see an episode where you add a bunch of prey insets and we watch as the predators come out for a meal.
Wooow thats an idea, although a bit cruel in a way but i guess its fine
I love the biodiversity of your vivarium, to see so many species living in close proximity, as they do in Nature in such detail and resolution is rare, and always exciting. I love that we got to see out hammerhead ( it’s offspring, and the small legged skink. That you allow so much to simply happen in a natural way is constantly delightful. Your updates are always well worth waiting for. Your camera work is deft and masterful, allowing us a really good view of the goings on within the vivarium. Those snails are voracious eaters, and so much fun to watch at high speed. Your set up is unique in all the various ones I have seen, and that is quite the accomplishment. Thank you for the time and effort you put into this retrospective on the entire process...it is worthy of an award. Keep on keeping on.🖤🇨🇦
Thank you so much againagain and again hahah! Always a pleasure to read you comments!!
Please put some triops in the pond, I think they would be cool.
This was awesome. You need 1 more snail predator. I love the snails but aren't there too many?
Depends on how humid i keep the populations! Although their numbers varies naturally with the predatory worm population(predator prey graph search it up!) :D
@@nordicants6232 can you add a praying mantis In there so there are large predatory creatures in your vivarium
Did Nortic die?
nope editing atm :D
Nordic Ants WHAAAAAT!??!? Oh yeah I can’t wait! It’s been 5 months and the legend returns people.
You’re amazing do you have any tips for Ant keeping Also plz try to get trap jaws for your vivarium I would love to see them
I have mini trap jaws :D heheheh but i get what you mean!
Might be interesting to consider adding some more plant eaters to help cull the foliage somewhat.
Thats a great idea, just can get my hands on em!
Grasshoppers?
36:23 Yep, I remember the moment, good lesson to not always base choices on your fandom, 80% of the people here aren't actually as knowledgeable as you'd hope they'd be. Please don't base huge choices on polls anymore btw, it does sting.
Twichlove 999 hahahahha yep! Lesson learned ;) democracy sometimes... but dont you think everyone has learned by now?
@@nordicants6232 I'm still not sure haha, I'm afraid most people will go for entertainment over afterthought.
Dude you have been gone for a while u inspired me to create a huge vivarium of my own almost a year ago and it is doing great, kind of lost inspiration but this video put me back on track! Thank you
The original battle royal
I need 10 hours version of this intro!
had a glass aquarium sitting around unoccupied for over a year, finally got it set up for something just like this the other day...
This has inspired me to make one of my own & after showing it to my wife who is a insect hater even she wants to make one 👍
That makes me so happy!! Please let me know if you guys need any pointerns :D
@@nordicants6232 absolutely! Thank you for all the knowledge you've already given me . Btw I wanted recommend the channel serpadesign in hopes you would find just as interesting & cool as I do
Have seen! Have enjoyed! Is enjoying! Hahahah thanks for the tip anyways :D
I plan to make a small one of these in a tank around 12 inch across, 8 inch back to front and 8 inch tall and I'm in England, what sort of thing would I add first? Ant queen's, beetles or like
this was so entertaining to watch! thank you for taking the time to make this :)
“Need a break? Take it now!” THIS is the QUALITY CONTENT I came here for!
So cool thanks for the extended look into your little world! I enjoyed every moment of it!
This is so entertaining, I actually watched every second on the video. I usually cant stand these types of videos especially when they make it overdramatic (looking at you AntsCanada), but this was unbelievably interesting. Keep making more videos. You just earned a like, sub and notification. Remember your original fans when you hit 1 million subs.
this video is classic 'ant video' just solely natural observation and documentary.
Thank you guys so much!!
I’ve always enjoyed bug watching in nature, if you just stare at the ground for long enough you always see some cool stuff. I never thought you could get that experience indoors, especially one so active. This is definitely one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen.
It’s come a long way. Amazing
Great video dude, nice vivarium!
That vivarium really is so amazing.
What an amazing video, I love your channel, and that vivarium.

Love this videos, keep the good work up
Such awesome video. Though it is long n i have followed all of your videos on this vivarium since 2 years ago, i still find it very interesting to watch it. Good job man..
So epic! There are so many animals and plants and probably bacteria in those lands, such a hard job to maintain and so cool to see the results!!
The editing on this video is on point!
Great Video! Amazing vivarium you have there
I love this channel so much I just kinda hope you updated more but I understand there editing and stuff anyways i love watching these videos i wish i had the capacity to try to play my hand at doing the same thing
I love these vivarium so so much good work man

Wow just wow. Amazing job
I absolutely love your tank
dude your videos are absolutely wonderful and a joy to watch. How does this channel not have way more subscribers!?!
I suck at uploading regularly! But no worries you guys are all I need atm
Such a wonderful video. Very informative and inspiring. I definitely see myself making a vivarium and ant enclosures in the future and possibly even making videos about it. Content like this is how we teach people to be more appreciative of the environment and everything living in it!
I love what you've created here. An ode to the diversity, complexity and beauty of life in incredible detail. All those species living together in such an intricate web of interactions. This is something really special!
Ikr!! So cool and everybody could theoretically make one of these and they would all be unique :D
Great Video. I am watching it completly
I really like your narration, thank you for the great video!! :)
Thank you!! :D
Wow breathtaking you did an amazing job

Amazing! You forgot one of my most impactful moments of your channel, the egg and maggots video :D So gross and amazing at the same time! Can't wait for more updates! 👌
Hahhaah oh my im so sorry, yet idk if i should be, for forgetting that!
Very great video we hope for future updates
This video was actually outstanding and I really enjoyed it
My honour!! Thanks
Cool vid bro!!
I would *love* to see some more of your yellow and black lizards/salamanders!!!! I always love learning more about reptiles, and it's always great to see your two (hopefully breeding) pair out and about!! Xx
Fantastic video. Not sure why you don't have more subs and views. Great channel.. 💚love it
I love your videos
Amazing!
Oh yes. Please more
Omg how did i not see this yet. Been waitng for your new vid amd thank ant jesus its 40 minutes long
I recommend adding some isopod species. They do really well in extra moist soil since they need to keep their gills moist
I had thousands of small red ones!!! But i wanned other species but i did not find any unfortunately :(
Do a crossover with life in jars
Now this would be a good one!
I need to see what would happen if you put a colony of Camponotus Gigas in that tank {:
I have really tried to get my hands on them!! So hard
love your vivarium long live! 🙂
OMG OMG OMG this is the greatest ecosystem ive ever seen. Good job!
Quality contet!
