Agreed, the visual recoil system before always felt way too boring. This looks like a subtle but huge improvement to the game.
I thought the same thing, in my Opinion one of the worst parts of this Game are the weapon Animations like reloading etc. But this visual recoil Change definitely is a step in the right direction.

yeah its the same asset from bf3, but retextured, and some of the destructive elements removed, not sure why.
Though they show it exploding in the cinematic trailers. Once again they show things in trailers then omit it from the actual gameplay experience for whatever reason. I'm just so over this game and ready for a real BF game again.

@@divinium33 you don't need a hundred skyscrapers you can't enter to have an urban map. Part of why maps like strike at karkand are far better than Siege of Shanghai

The gunplay visually matches Battlefield V now, just with modern weapons that have less recoil. This looks great.
I wouldn’t say it matches bfv, still looks brain dead easy to manage recoil but an improvement for sure

The scope for the AK5 reminds me of the scope for CAR-15 in Delta Force Black Hawk Down! Really nostalgic!
This map is like a cut BFBC2 map, love it. They should have made all the maps out of these destructible assets since they have been in the game since launch
Holy... the recoil thing is big, and you used the 74u as an example, a couple days ago I was trying to run with it and it was a terrible experience in gunplay so I'm glad they worked on it

I notice when ppl get shot at they start zig-zagging in an attempt to make themselves harder to hit, but the issue they always do is zig-zag in a pattern. Which in turn makes you easy to read and easy to hit. Like, I dont need to follow your every turn, I just need to shoot at you when you zig instead of zag, if that makes sense.

It does make sense. But it doesn't. Its not that they create a pattern you can read. I mean long distance targets running a 5m "zig" and a 5m "zag" definitely create a pattern but when they do small "zig zags" in quick succession at close ranges they actually create a bigger target... Running in ONE direction to escape fire is how it should be done. Pick your cover and B-line it.

The aks 74u reload animation is so good now not as stiff as before and when empty redoad the character use a under hand charging handle so cool

I don't think it has to do with the advancement of the engine, just that DICE focused on 128 players and making it on the ps4/xbox one. So they had limitations. I want to see what they can do with the next BF. Cause we've seen great destruction in BC2, BF4, and BF1. So the engine can do it

This is already hands down the best map that ever came to 2042. and all the buildings being destructible! hell yeah bro I'm all for it!! Kinda want to see if they will use real time destruction for the next battlefield game like we had seen in the EA PLAY 2020 teaser.

Looks really fun, I could see this map being my new favorite for sure. The gun changes actually look good too, I was also concerned about the visual recoil increase but it does seem somewhat mild. Kinda funny to me that the 2042 season I’m most looking forward to is called “Turning Point”

WOW, this is the first map that feels more like a traditional Battlefield map. Too little too late for me, but it gives me a sliver of hope for the next entry. Still not expecting much from DICE and EA considering their track record the last two games.
All the post launch maps look like traditional battlefield maps. They listened to the feedback and changed their map designs for the new maps.

@@workhorse7134 the environment looks more destructible, unlike the other ones. Still don't feel like playing it, the gameplay is too fast paced and less strategic compared to the traditional battlefields. We have too many FPS games with that playstyle that do it better. Glad they added a bit of a visual kick to the weapons, but they still look like laser pointers.

The scope on the ak5 is the aimpont cs, its what the Swedish army uses on the ak5.
The new map Haven gives me some Bad Company 2 and BF4 style/color tone vibe, like, Arica Harbor, Oasis, Pearl Market, Flood Zone, Golmud Railway.

Honestly stadium should have been it's own map from the starts those hallways and levels made some of the best cqc in the game at the start
Definitely shaping up to be the best map in 2042, and the recoil changes actually seem to give the weapons some character. Now if they could just remove the voice quips of all the “heroes” and make the UI look like it wasn’t made in MS paint - we might have a game I can tolerate for more than 30 mins!

@@takemeseriouslyplx2124 the TTK in 2042 is almost double the TTK of MWIII. Any longer TTK and you’re in Halo territory. I think BF1 and BFV had the sweet spot of TTK which is somewhere in between 2042 and modern cod.

Will always be a mystery to me how badly the launch maps were designed. Really makes you wonder what the 2042 BR was supposed to look like. All the post launch maps have been incredible. They should just remove the ogs from the game

@@gssngr mind blowing how bad some of the maps are. I remeber strictly playing Sundance because of how horrible navigating those maps was. Thank god for how well they did her wingsuit because it was the only redeeming part about the game for the first year. Genuinely had so much fun just flying around
DICE had a mass exodus just before this team started 2042. They really had to learn what it was to make a BF game as a brand new squad of devs.

I did my basic training with the AK5C and the red dot sight is the standard sight for the weapon.
Mix of Gulmad and Dust bowl & silk road, i liked it🍰
The AK-5C is one of the few guns in the game that looks like it actually has some recoil, but it’s still so quiet that it sounds integrally suppressed.
Helis will be a huge problem on this map
As I said when this was announced, vehicles will dominate this map. Especially with the destruction because you can blind fire at a building and get free kills. The AK5C is going to be the new VHX which is going to have teams only running VHX, AK5C, and SFAR. The game is already in full sweat mode so 99% of the time people are getting killed it’s from a meta weapon. I want to try the new guns, but the map so far is ehh. Spawn traps look insanely easy and a low TTK is a recipe for frustration lol

Yes, the syringe pistol can kill. It only does like 2% damage, though. I found that out one match when I tried to heal my teammate from a distance, but I missed, and apparently, there was an emeny somewhere behind him because I got a kill. Next match, I intentionally shot an enemy, and he killed me. His health was at 98%.

so they used the assets from arabic harbor, build a map and promote destruction with it :D. Well yeah those buildings come straigt out of Bad Company 2 and the portal map. Maybe if the map would have been bigger, like 2-3 villages? Feels like a CoD map, but will definitely try it out :)

The gunplay looks really good
They are claiming improved destruction yet in the first few minutes I've watched you put dozens of rockets into the same building, and it looks no different. You shoot gas pumps and they "explode" with less energy than a grenade or C5... Even though I've put a lot of hours into 2042 and its much better than it was, its still lacking SO MUCH when it comes to a main BF title. Its hard to explain, but the game just feels so hollow and shallow. We went from having a gritty, atmospheric, brutal experience with nameless, disposable soldiers caught up in the never-ending war machine screaming in pain, distress and frustration, to matches full of the same characters (some just short of being considered senior citizens), shouting cringy one-liners and acting like they're happy to be there. DICE completely lost the plot with 2042 and I am so hopeful that the next title goes back to its roots and leaves everything that 2042 brought, in the past. If the next title isnt a complete 180 and releases in any state resembling the launch of 2042, you can consider the franchise dead.

Somehow I think such an ea creator event is actually really cool. I find all well-known youtubers together in one round very interesting. Somehow, that would sometimes be very funny away from such events about new content. Maybe together with some people from the community.
