Those coloured pools are real life things called evaporation ponds. They are filled with water and chemicals. And as the name suggests the water evaporates and usually leaves behind a salt of some kind.

Bad Company 2 has servers, but there is a work around that has to be done for it to work. EA quit servers but someone else is running servers. the fix is on youtube

The new map is very good but Dice fumbled hard when it came to making the spawns for the conquest layout, it feels like there is an unnecessary amount of walking and the objectives themselves aren’t that great as points of interest to fight over, especially A1 and E1 which are too small and too open respectively

@@collinthegamer510 That is most likely the case, it is just a skeleton crew working on this game, that can be anywhere from 10-20 developers on this game and the rest of the studio is working on the next iteration of the series. If you think about it the next BF game is supposed to release next year so it would make sense on that.

@@chaimkobylinski1988 Yeah, I've been around since the Wolf 3D days. FPS games more or less all blend together anymore, except for 2042 with all the cool specialist gadgets. Sundance's wingsuit was like a breath of fresh air for me honestly, and each specialist feels fun and different to play. I feel like a lot of the people that whine about the changes 2042 made are those that haven't been around anywhere near as long either of us and haven't had enough experience to realize that most other FPS games don't have as much variance in gameplay as they would like to think.

Don't so much have a problem with the map size as a whole but rather I wish that the central city area was bigger. Haven't played TDM on it but I have a feeling it probably plays pretty well. On conquest and breakthrough though, the one side of the map just feels lifeless.

I'm glad you mentioned the cap zone size, some maps have very small caps and can't captured with vehicles , unnecessary clutter and narrow routes, it's like DICE don't want you to capture objectives with vehicles.

I think the range on that new launcher has been reduced to prevent people from spamming it in the deployment areas and such. Liz is literally used as a mortar in rush and breakthrough by people who just sit at the back so I guess they wanted to prevent that again. Although it shouldn't be a problem anyway since the speed and turning radius on those rockets seem to be negligable, not to mention the constant need for line of sight. Let's hope they don't pull a BF4 on the thing and give it a reduced damage debuff again

jack most ultra settings are indistinguishable from the high setting, just put it a notch down from ultra and the game wont look different but you'll get more fps.

I agree with the map balancing as I’ve played over 20 games on this map and only see USA win 3 times. And it’s hard to take flags back as there’s no jeeps to jump in and quickly get behind team. You should be able to spawn into chopper as a passenger even if your squad mate isn’t flying

@@greelow in fact I just had the best experience with this one. Indeed, if you hold the middle, you have a huge advantage, more than in other maps, and it can lead to 400-0. But the whole point is to get the middle area, and if you do take it back, you can reverse the entire game. We were losing 180 to 500 and we WON ! Never saw any reversed situation like this one in any game before

1:53 just one of the MANY reasons bf2042 fails the bf test; that rocket impact should have absolutely killed Jack and destroyed that wall. This looks and plays far more like a cod entry than a bf entry. There's no "weight" to anything.

I played yesterday for a few hours and had 6 losses in a row as US (wasn't until my 7th match until I finally was put on RU bizarrely) With the exception of one match, every single time they capped all points except for A1 and it was RU dominating. However, I played again today for a few hours and it seemed to be fairly even and I even had a few matches where US held the entire map. It does seem (from my limited personal perspective) to have somewhat balanced out as everybody gets more familiar with the map, but there is definitely a strategy. Really you want to take the upper objectives first and work your way down. It's nearly impossible to try and fight upwards from D1. From there the team that holds B1 and C1 seems to always runaway with the win and its very difficult for the other side to make a comeback as they end up having to fight uphill from spawn to reclaim those central objectives. Its definitely fun to play in small bursts, but the map in general seems to feel a bit uninspired and lacking atmosphere. The theme is cool but all just feels a bit rushed and underbaked imo compared to the other maps in previous seasons. I'm not someone who is deeply offended by the re-use of existing assets, I get why they may need to rely on that logistically - but every building having identical empty interiors makes it feel like once you've been in one building.. well you've seen the entire town.

It's because its not a main entry title its a prequel to battlefield 2142 from 2006 , the gameplay is very similar to me , I played 2142 alot as a kid I enjoy 2042 for that reason I can see why someone may dislike it though if they didn't play 2142, the next game will probably be battlefield 6 main entry

I like the map. If you capture B, C and whichever side you start from, those are easy to defend. Funneling enemy to D is good so you always have high ground

I think vehicles have been getting destroyed too easily, especially after the Pondahawk was introduced. Or at least that's what a buddy of mine and myself were using. As Assault class, spawn in Pondahawk and just fly over everything while taking turns jumping onto tanks with C5. They have said in patch notes that they wanted to make the Engineer class the more focused vehicle counter.

I still need to check out the new map, but the more I play or watch 2042, the more I really hope that in the next game, they drop the whole operators thing for generic namless soldiers like in past games... or at least have separate ones for the countries you play as. Seeing the same people shooting at each other on both the US and RU teams is so immersion breaking at times.

I have a galaxy s22 ultra and Warzone mobile is completely unplayable. The menu is the only thing that doesnt sutter, lag or freeze up. If it didnt freeze and then crash im positive my phone would burst into flames. Im sure they will get it optimized and working. As a father with 3 young kids having warzone accessible on my phone would be incredible......maybe someday.. great video as always jack!

It's always one sided. Needs way more cover in the outskirts. Also some small vehicles to travel. Some buildings should be closer, like in COD. I noticed tanks can't drive over some vehicles, it's annoying

Those coloured pools are real life things called evaporation ponds. They are filled with water and chemicals. And as the name suggests the water evaporates and usually leaves behind a salt of some kind.
i'm pretty sure they are lithium pools, since the north of Chile has a lot of lithium mines

The new map is very good but Dice fumbled hard when it came to making the spawns for the conquest layout, it feels like there is an unnecessary amount of walking and the objectives themselves aren’t that great as points of interest to fight over, especially A1 and E1 which are too small and too open respectively

@@collinthegamer510 That is most likely the case, it is just a skeleton crew working on this game, that can be anywhere from 10-20 developers on this game and the rest of the studio is working on the next iteration of the series. If you think about it the next BF game is supposed to release next year so it would make sense on that.

@@chaimkobylinski1988 Yeah, I've been around since the Wolf 3D days. FPS games more or less all blend together anymore, except for 2042 with all the cool specialist gadgets. Sundance's wingsuit was like a breath of fresh air for me honestly, and each specialist feels fun and different to play. I feel like a lot of the people that whine about the changes 2042 made are those that haven't been around anywhere near as long either of us and haven't had enough experience to realize that most other FPS games don't have as much variance in gameplay as they would like to think.

Nooo big maps are not the move. All of the original maps on 2042 were too big at launch. You are probably one of those players that doesn’t play the objective a lot, because if you did you wouldn’t want objectives so spaced out

I been playing Battlefield 4 recently and it's has alot of full servers, game is alive as ever and as for Battlefield 2042 havent had fun with that game in almost a year, the game is absolutely soulless.
Only thing about Bf4 that is bad imo is that you can't unlock everything now. There is literally 0 servers running Chainlink, which you need for the MPX.

@@SafetyKitten I went back and checked, there's only 3 servers, all from Germany, that run chainlink. And one of them is titled MPX with 10 player max. Only issue now is that I don't have any friends that also have Bf4.
i like the map but the middle city area is so small yet it feels like the best area to fight in
much love jack been a big battlefield player since i was a kid with my family this maps deff a big improvement for this game the guns are crispy keep up the great content boss.
I wish Haven was bigger - it feels like Provence from V but without the two outside points and those points were what made the map work so well imo
Don't so much have a problem with the map size as a whole but rather I wish that the central city area was bigger. Haven't played TDM on it but I have a feeling it probably plays pretty well. On conquest and breakthrough though, the one side of the map just feels lifeless.

I'm glad you mentioned the cap zone size, some maps have very small caps and can't captured with vehicles , unnecessary clutter and narrow routes, it's like DICE don't want you to capture objectives with vehicles.

I think the range on that new launcher has been reduced to prevent people from spamming it in the deployment areas and such. Liz is literally used as a mortar in rush and breakthrough by people who just sit at the back so I guess they wanted to prevent that again. Although it shouldn't be a problem anyway since the speed and turning radius on those rockets seem to be negligable, not to mention the constant need for line of sight. Let's hope they don't pull a BF4 on the thing and give it a reduced damage debuff again

jack most ultra settings are indistinguishable from the high setting, just put it a notch down from ultra and the game wont look different but you'll get more fps.
I agree with the map balancing as I’ve played over 20 games on this map and only see USA win 3 times. And it’s hard to take flags back as there’s no jeeps to jump in and quickly get behind team. You should be able to spawn into chopper as a passenger even if your squad mate isn’t flying
The matchmaking is so terrible and especially for this map. This map makes it impossible to flip the score because there is virtually no cover on the outer edges of the map…
I remember playing this map all day long in Battlefield Bad Company 2. 2500 tickets. Endless action, spawn killing. Fun times man

Took a lil minute to learn , seems like the ttk is almost instantaneous, i dont like fire 75%of my mag missing another 75% shots and just getting instantly deleted by someone who has there aim assist turned all the way up

A match on this map is either 400-600 to 0 or 0 to 400-600. I have 10 rounds so far and it was always in this range😂

@@greelow in fact I just had the best experience with this one. Indeed, if you hold the middle, you have a huge advantage, more than in other maps, and it can lead to 400-0. But the whole point is to get the middle area, and if you do take it back, you can reverse the entire game. We were losing 180 to 500 and we WON ! Never saw any reversed situation like this one in any game before
Just played some BF today. Was super fun, can't wait to see what DICE brings us in 25. As for WZ, who cares? If it wasn't for KZheadrs and streamers that game would be dead. Steam charts don't lie.

in my experience it is not necessarily the RU side that is OP but most matches are completely one sided
1:53 just one of the MANY reasons bf2042 fails the bf test; that rocket impact should have absolutely killed Jack and destroyed that wall. This looks and plays far more like a cod entry than a bf entry. There's no "weight" to anything.

I was thinking the exact same thing a few days ago when I first tried this map. It was so OBVIOUSLY 1 sided map that it's crazy. Turns out I'm not alone...
I played yesterday for a few hours and had 6 losses in a row as US (wasn't until my 7th match until I finally was put on RU bizarrely) With the exception of one match, every single time they capped all points except for A1 and it was RU dominating. However, I played again today for a few hours and it seemed to be fairly even and I even had a few matches where US held the entire map. It does seem (from my limited personal perspective) to have somewhat balanced out as everybody gets more familiar with the map, but there is definitely a strategy. Really you want to take the upper objectives first and work your way down. It's nearly impossible to try and fight upwards from D1. From there the team that holds B1 and C1 seems to always runaway with the win and its very difficult for the other side to make a comeback as they end up having to fight uphill from spawn to reclaim those central objectives. Its definitely fun to play in small bursts, but the map in general seems to feel a bit uninspired and lacking atmosphere. The theme is cool but all just feels a bit rushed and underbaked imo compared to the other maps in previous seasons. I'm not someone who is deeply offended by the re-use of existing assets, I get why they may need to rely on that logistically - but every building having identical empty interiors makes it feel like once you've been in one building.. well you've seen the entire town.
I felt the same way about the copy pasted buildings in every BF since bf3 especially BF1 and BFV which had identical houses on almost every map

I don't believe the map is imbalanced. But if your team keeps the larger buildings, you'll win.
Every time i got put on the RU team we lost by a large margin, and every time i got put un the US team we won by a large margin, i cant put my finger on why that is so, but im also pretty sure is not an anecdotical ocurrence and its due to some map, spawn or vehicle imbalance

been playing BF2042 the past few months, 128 conquest mode makes me feel like I can fit and fill ANY role at ANY point and I love this so much. imo best BF game for solo players
Weirdly, I agree about it being the best BF for solo players. But for me what makes battlefield special is the teamplay and thats why this one is my least favourite of the series.

Back before everything became infantry only maps. DICE tried to go back to their roots once with 2042, with large scale maps and multi-domain warfare; and all the BC2/Metro/Locker/CoD players were upset.

It's because its not a main entry title its a prequel to battlefield 2142 from 2006 , the gameplay is very similar to me , I played 2142 alot as a kid I enjoy 2042 for that reason I can see why someone may dislike it though if they didn't play 2142, the next game will probably be battlefield 6 main entry

I like the map. If you capture B, C and whichever side you start from, those are easy to defend. Funneling enemy to D is good so you always have high ground
Im having blast on this map get 30+ kills a game genuinely like it , I suggest looking up the best controller settings if you're on console , the 2.5x thermal scope is great on this map too

Good, Spiderman and Batgirl shouldn't even have 2 C5, let alone 3 like they did pre update. Play engineer if you want your 3 x C5 back.
I think vehicles have been getting destroyed too easily, especially after the Pondahawk was introduced. Or at least that's what a buddy of mine and myself were using. As Assault class, spawn in Pondahawk and just fly over everything while taking turns jumping onto tanks with C5. They have said in patch notes that they wanted to make the Engineer class the more focused vehicle counter.
I still need to check out the new map, but the more I play or watch 2042, the more I really hope that in the next game, they drop the whole operators thing for generic namless soldiers like in past games... or at least have separate ones for the countries you play as. Seeing the same people shooting at each other on both the US and RU teams is so immersion breaking at times.
I played it and playing Verdansk was definitely a fun time. MS knows that Verdansk is a seller and so many people might start playing this instead of Warzone 3
