This video is to help anybody who is coming into Chivalry 2 brand new or current players wanting ways of staying alive. Let me know if there are other tips that could be useful to other players. #chivalry2 #chivalry

(Btw you can counter arrows by counterstabbing the arrows at the right time) VERY high risk but free stamina
Great point I am just not good at doing it lol. I just try my best to find cover or to make archers miss by making my movements erratic.
another thing i would add is timing your blocks to lose less stamina and retaliate fast, you can do this by blocking at the very last moment an enemy decides to swing at you. You also get a little stamina back so you can get a chain going that way.
what you're talking about it's counterattacks so you have to attack while defending with the same attack as the opponent. and in fact it doesn't get you stamina back, you just don't loose stamina and you gain stamina continuously during the fight
Excellent tips, thanks!
Very informative…and funny! Thank you!
Thx man, just started playing, u helped a lot
Glad I could help!
A tip I got is try maintaining momentum. Then you can employ hit and run tactics if your enemy is in an open area and focused elswhere, and you can escape faster without having to wait to sprint. This doesn't work too well in smaller areas, or against large groups though.
This is a good video
Just the video I was looking for. Many of the tip videos I've seen with 10x the views arent nearly as good.
Really appreciate it!!
Nice throw kills!
Thank you!
Very comprehensive man! What’s your name in game?
Thanks dude! Name is TheDude68
i love 1v1 or even 1v2 duels but anything above that is just frustrating
Definitely can be but i love the chaos of big battles. Duel servers are nice to check out and test your skills.
@@theholygamingempire there’s no better feeling than beating a sweat in a 1v1 or charging 30 people head on. Chivalry 2 is the best it gets in these regards
@@VultyreRust Agreed!
The problem is that it looks that all of my enemies hit faster them me. I tried to drag but the look like cheaters lol.
Also important to know about initiative. If you are trying to hit your opponent while they have initiative you are taking a gamble. If you are feeling slow try a faster weapon and see if it works better.
you know another tip would be the fact that no matter how good a player is, if he is low on health he has no choice but to block all attacks so that means a free kill by kicking him
If they are good enough they usually block/ parry the last second so wouldn’t always count on it
That is a good one! I would probably suggest a jab since it leaves you less out in the open and is quicker.
Yeah I agree but kicks still cause damage even if they don't break a block. I would personally go with a jab because it is quicker.
PLS PLS PLS I just came to see how I can do that kick from the image. I think its a sprint attack but I rly dont know. PLs if someone know how to do that move tell me pls
Kicking while running with 2handed spear footman
Little work for maximum effort 😂
a chiv video!? :O
What wepon is at 6:10
It's a maul
@@theholygamingempire I meant 5:22
@oli9816 oh that's a Messer. It just has a different skin on it.
@@theholygamingempire thanks
Is first person better?
I personally like first person because you can get a better feel of the distance of the weapons. But 3rd person allows for you to watch your sides because of the increased FOV.
@@theholygamingempire great thanks!
Use both, rebind the key. I use alt to quickly switch between both 1st and 3rd.
@@averageGoat_meh_eh_eh_eh thanks dude
one more way to stay alive , play third person thank me later
Pros and cons for 1st and 3rd person. Whatever fits your style.
Lastly of course dont fight anywhere near this dude cause he swings really wide and will hit teamates like crazy
I promise not to hit you if you are nearby ;)
I love the concept and really want to like this game, but it's just so clunky. I don't get the psuedo-realism they've decided to employ here.
I would highly recommend trying the game. Chiv 2 leans more into the silly side of the slasher genre. It has a mix of Monty Python humor with its brutal violence. What makes the game look clunky? It could be just me lol.
@@theholygamingempire I've def given it a go, reached level 18 but I just don't enjoy the mechanics as much as I want to. Every weapon/class feels like I'm wielding a 200lb log. As well you have instances where people doing their best hop/spin/duck/knife throw taking out heavily armored knights, groups of 3-4 guys armed with halberds struggling to finish a single twitchy player, inconsistent block responses, etc. It can be fun at times, but massively frustrating as well. I just don't think it's reached it's potential yet and can easily turn off a lot of players. Not everyone has the time to master such a janky system and will just move on to something more enjoyable.
Fair enough. I would say that weapons feeling heavy would to be to give the weapons a sense of weight in the world and not feel like how weapons are in Skyrim. With Chiv 2, I think it is about learning the mechanics and the quirks of the game. I think there is plenty of room for expansion and improvement. Also I think the game is made for a certain type of audience which is completely fine. Games that try to appeal to all are liked by none. I just want to give the game attention because the devs put effort into it.
@@theholygamingempire You're doing great work and it can certainly be a lot of fun. I don't want it to copy another game either, just some further nuance and accessibility to help grow the community. Thank you for your positive engagement. Cheers!
@cozylife222 Yeah here is to hoping that the developers keep updating and making it more accessible. Thank you for your comment and I appreciate your support. Cheers to you!
Why am i taking tips from someone who plays in 1rst person? You didn't even see that guy run up and hit you.
You don't have to. I am just offering things that I have learned. Maybe I could breakdown 1st person vs 3rd person?
Stab weapons for first person.. slash and overheads third person. This how I play lol
