My parents were antique dealers. A museum bought a box from my dad. The museum repainted it, stenciled it, and put it on display claiming it was an authentic Wells Fargo strongbox.

Thanks Santee on making strongbox, I worked with Wells Fargo stagecoach opening banks as a messenger shotgun. I have always wanted strongbox now easy ideas.

My friends and I were talking about the Boxes when your notification came in a few days ago. We talked about and and thought how terrible the idea was because any person with a Colt can open it. But again, thats the best for that time. HAHAHA. 👍👍👍

I always thought the "boot" was the canvas convered area at the rear of the coach. Excellent job building that strongbox, by the way.

THE OLD WELLS FARGO BOX I FOUND WAS ALL METAL AND THE GUYS WAS WEARING 1920s CLOTHING .. WE FIGURE SOMEBODY GOT GREEDY HE WAS SHOT BEHIND THE HEAD .. SO HAVE FUN AND BE SAFE .. AND GOOD FUN VIDEO .. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !!

I am in the process of building a strong box of my own. Based off of a couple of different models I found online. I am building it around a cash register drawer so I can use it as a cash register/cash box.

Reminds me a little of a seaman's chest except those were not really strongboxes. You did some fine work on that and especially the antiquing. Heck, I can't spell.

Great Video, Now about that new hat. Looks great. Cost way to much. Shame to get dirty. I'm the same way. HOWEVER, that hat needs to get dirty and I mean "RIGHT NOW". It's gonna happen anyway, so let's get bizzy.❤

- For a 100% beaver hat (dress weight hats are 100% pure beaver) mine is a great deal. Most hatters sell them for about $800 and up. Since I wear it almost every day in the elements it will get dirty and worn soon. Don't you worry!

Very interestingly informative and inspiring video, I really liked and enjoyed it. Great job and well done, keep up the great work. I really got a lot of inspiration for the old west frontier, cassette futurism and Frutiger Aero/Y2K inspired story and series Mysteriarch Mythos I’m working on writing. I’m definitely going to add stongboxes to my story and series, alongside other items from the old west.

Yet another informative yet entertaining video, Santee! Incidentally, I noticed - at times - a tyrannosaurus rex would spontaneously appear in the videos and always thought of the 1969 monster movie western entitled 'The Valley of Gwangi'. I was wondering if you could ever make a video reviewing and discussing it, perhaps pointing out the historical accuracies (if any)? This would be great!
