Introducing the all-new Porsche 911 GT3!
It’s the hard-core, track-ready version of the Porsche 911 992, and we think it might be the best Porsche ever! Trust us, it’s not all extra wings and aero, there’s much more to reveal than meets the eye.
For starters, there’s a treat in store for you old-fashioned driving enthusiasts - the new GT3 comes with a manual gearbox! What’s more, it’s powered by a naturally-aspirated 4-litre six-cylinder Boxer engine to deliver 510hp & 470Nm of torque! Sure, it’s not as powerful as the Turbo S, but it’s still 10hp & 10Nm more than you’ll find in the old GT3.

But in a world where in the near future nearly all new cars sold will be electric, I'm so happy to see car manufacturers still making cars like the new GT3. Naturally aspirated, looks incredible, comes with a 6 speed manual and still retains a good sound. I love it.

    • They don't measure speed full stop. Porsches, especially gt cars, notoriously have more power and and go quicker than the recorded top speed

  • It's 199 mph because Porsche evidently doesn't use the imperial system when designing the specs. 199 mph = 320 km/h top speed.

    • @@nickolastiguan I believe most of them use the imperial system for "everyday" stuff. Like short distances, food weight, etc... I don't know if they go as far as the US and use it in small construction. Which is absolutely retarded when talking about drill bit sizes for example. Look it up, they even use fractions like 25/64" or 21/32" diameter. In the UK I'm sure all the important stuff uses metrics though

I knew you had mistaken the older GT3 to be more modern, cause, there is almost no reason to love the old one over the new GT3. Now, can't you cheer Porsche for still keeping up the N.A engine via a manual transmission till date.

    • @@larrypascal572 the 1999 996 looks drastically different than this one. The mid to late 00s 997 looks drastically different than the 996 and this one. The last gen 991 looks drastically different than the 997 and has noticeable differences than this one. Seriously look them up

    • Manual gear might make a big difference, but can't make out the difference for an N.A car over a turbo car in ride quality, and the difference for driving it. I mean like driving either an N.A car or a turbo car just feels the same. Btw, Yeah correct the 911 GT3 had always been N.A right from the start till date.

  • I’m German, so... dear Carwow, we really respect and appreciate you. We can see that you really take care of your videos, and we LOVE THEM. But please; get the pronunciation of PORSCHE right! It’s called PorschE (it’s important to pronounce the “E” at the end) I know that this can be tricky for native English-speaker. So I try to break down every letter for you guy’s on how to pronounce it the right way! *P* - As in “Poltergeist” (The English version of the word) *O* - Same as above! So the first two letters are pronounced like the above-mentioned word! (PO ltergeist) *R* - this is something very unique to the German language. Try this: Try to take back your tongue as much as possible whilst saying “right” this is the “r” that you should be using. It should sound like a “grunting” noise. So we now have 3 letters *P O R ...* *SCH* - as in (shy) you pronounce it EXACTLY like how you would normally say it. BUT instead the “y” you just attach a “eh” The “eh”-sound should be exactly like the first “e” of (Elevator) So... *P O R S C H E* So Now You got it right 🤙🏽🤜🏽

    • All Porsches are special, that's why it's the best brand without any real competition. They outclass Audi, BMW and Mercedes in the luxury segment with the Panamera, Cayenne and Macan, they dominate the sportscar market for decades now with the 911 and with the GT and 918 they proved they can play with the similar big names like Ferrari and McLaren. Not to mention Porsches dominance in LeMans and the legendary rivalry with Ferrari in Form of cars like the 959 vs F40 or the 918 vs the LaFerrari. Aside from that Porsche has just absolutely stunning design, it's simple and beautiful, the best thing is that the car doesn't look angry. A Lamborghini looks like it had a bad day and his wife cheats on it, the 911 looks like it had an awesome day and a rendezvous with the wife of the Huracan :D

    • I fully agree with you. Don't like the front, and the back (no 911 anymore). Considering roughly 13 secs gaining on the Nordschleife, I will stick to my 991.2 GT3 - for me personal best locking GT3 ever. Inside as well as outside. For trackdays in rainy and snowy conditions I will use my additional new Toyota GR Yaris tracktool. The perfect match of driving fun on track.

  • This feels like the last huurah for NA Engines before everything starts going electric. We got the GR yaris a rally inspired road car and now this GT3 inspired road car I'm more than happy.

    • Wrong point it's not that N.A engines are rare because everything starts electric, it's because supercars are going turbo and N.A supercar are very rare. There is no connection for the GR Yaris with this GT3.

  • Damn I'd say this is the most daring design Porsche did in a while and dare I say it's epic! I love the new hood. Really well done somehow Porsche makes minor changes seem daring and it's amazing. Porsche never do mistakes do they.

    • You can blame the EEC for their recent noise and emission regulations. The problem with modifying is that you will then loose the Porsche 3 year manufacturers warranty and be on your own. Porsche tell me even changing the exhaust is a definite no no !

    • @@sutherlacd27 If they go wrong they are very expensive to fix both in terms of the Porsche hourly labour rates and the cost of parts. Guess it’s like any kind of insurance it just depends if you want to purchase peace of mind or take a gamble.

    • I'm not a fan of the lambo styling. Ferrari and porsche use a curved and rounded style approach where lambo has more blunt sharp edges. People seem to like one or the other it seems
