Lamborghini Revuelto drag race let’s GOOO!!
We’ve finally got our hands on this all-new Lambo, and it’s facing off against two of its top rivals - the Ferrari SF90, and the Porsche 918 Spyder! So let’s check out how these three epic hypercars compare.
Starting with the Lambo, it’s powered by a 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 along with THREE electric motors! These combine to produce 1,015hp and 1,062Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and it weighs in at 1,772kg. If you’re looking to pick one up, it’ll cost you at least £447,000!
Then we come to the SF90. It’s equipped with a 4-litre twin-turbo V8, and just like the Lambo it also has three electric motors. These combine to produce 1,000hp and 800Nm, and power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox. It tips the scales at 1,570kg, and if you try and pick one up today it’ll cost around £376,000.
Then finally we have the 918. It’s powered by a 4.6-litre naturally-aspirated V8 along with two electric motors. These work in tandem to put down 887hp and 1,280Nm of torque. It sends this power to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and it weighs in at 1,674kg. It’s easily the most expensive car here, as it’s now valued at an incredible 1.3 million pounds!

The more impressive thing about this race is that a 10 year-old Porsche is still able to keep up with the newer cars. What a car!!
Well, that's not as surprising since, if you adjust for inflation, the Porsche was almost triple the price of the other two when new. Increadible machine though but I never expected it to lack behind much.

Lighter by 250-500#, has better aero, solid power to the front axle dragging it up to speed until the turbos kick in fully. Ferrari has almost always whooped lambo&Porsche as well. 😀 I can't wait to see the first true Ferrari ev sometime next year! 😎

The sf90 uses an aluminium chassis and has bigger capacity battery compared to the revuelto's smaller capacity battery and carbon monocoque and still the Ferrari is lighter by a massive 200kg! Also, sf90 is about at least 4 years older than the revuelto! Ferrari's engineering is just better than that of Lambo!

@@4literv6 Wrong about the power delivery. It is the exact same concept between the Lambo and SF90. Two electric motors in the front, there's no solid power transfer between the front and rear. The SF90 is very much a front assisted RWD car. Floor it on a loose or wet surface, and it is a very scary thing to drive. Much more so than an F8 or Pista. What you should also consider, is the fact that the SF90 has such a hard hole shot that the front wheels have very little weight on them. They spin a lot during a hard start because of this. The Lambo is just too little too late as always.
The fact that 918, La Ferrari and P1 are 10-11 years old now, and can still compete with the best of today, just shows how far ahead those brands are in terms of vision 👏🙌

The SF90 is the real deal of modern sports cars, its performance are untoucheable and it's already a 5 year old car. 9.6 in the 1/4 mile is Bugatti chiron territory... absolutely unbelievable
So much for Revuelto being hailed as the "SF90 Killer". The SF90 still showing its superiority being 5 years old. And the 918 being so close to the lambo shows a lot about its performance. There's a reason why its part of the modern holy-trinity.

@@flaminggodofthunder9212not really, track wise, the SF90 is the fastest production car in top gears power lap, it's substantially lighter than the Lambo given that the new Revuelto uses a carbon fiber tub compared to an aluminum one in the SF90, and also the SF90 has a bigger battery but still it managed to be lighter.

I was thinking the same thing. Body weight makes a difference. Lewis Hamilton said on Graham Norton that 10 kilos (22 pounds) of fuel costs 3/10th of a second per lap. He said if he was even 1 kilo (2.2 pounds) overweight it would cost him 2 seconds over the course of the race. He is definitely more than 22 pounds heavier than them. I'm not sure how that translates to a drag race but I'm sure it matters. I wish one of the others had driven his car to see if it mattered but they may have been trying to avoid insulting him. I'm a big guy so no shaming or insulting intended, it's just every pound or kilo matters in a race. Like you said, its just reality. It's why you don't see large guys driving F1 cars, motorcycles, or any vehicle that is racing for the most part. Hell, jockeys are smaller than any of the car racers but then again a horse is a living creature that gets tired but the concept remains the same. Having said all that, he's clearly doing better than me because I'll never afford a 918 so good for him. He can be as big as he wants, if he's enjoying life then keep on doing it.

The SF90 has 3 electric motors, whereas the 918 has 2. The 918 was produced between 2013-2015, whereas the SF90 started production in 2019. Huge difference in technology during that 4+ years. I'd choose the 918. Lol, Matt even said about the 918 owner "His car looks the best." It also has a sub-7-minute Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time (first street-legal car to do that).
Considering the same 4 years of difference but between the SF90 and revuelto, SF90 is more impressive as it is beating a newer car unlike the Porsche which didn't beat any newer car here. An extra electric motor means more weight also. The SF90 with a driver like Maro Engel would beat that 918 at the Nurburgring easily.
Crazy how the older generations HyperCars (918, P1, LaFerrari) are this generations supercars in terms of performance

That 918, despite being a decade older, being able to stick so close to these technological monsters, is what I really enjoyed watching. Porsche really pulled every trick in the book at the time when they made that thing, an engineering marvel.

Just a little correction on the stats and for anyone else wondering, the 800Nm for the SF90 are only for the ICE, it should have 1066Nm for the complete power unit.
Is there a source for this? Because I’ve tried long and hard to find these stats and never have. Everywhere states 800Nm, but I know it’s more because the F8 Tributo makes almost that amount without any assistance.

Nope thats the overall torque they reduced it cause they had to build an engine setup with fuel consumption according to the new laws and rules. The ICE has about 525Nm of torque only
1. I used to be kinda "meh" on the Revuelto, but this spec changes things 100% for me. What an incredible looking (and sounding!) car. 2. That SF90 is a beast. Simply mad of Ferrari how well they made this car. 3. The 918. Simply LEGEND. Kinda sad how Matt almost ignored how well it did against the others until the end. 4. Matt really knows how to launch. 5. Remembering back to the SF90 vs Nevera, it is insane to think how the Nevera just absolutely WALKS the 1000hp SF90 in a straight line like it is nothing.

@@selvinportillo9226 Part of the reason SF90's are dropping in price; Lamborghini kept the NA V12. (Yes, I know you can still buy a Ferrari with the NA V12...but it's the Purosangue, and no-one's cross-shopping that with the Revuelto).
Pretty sure most people buy the Lambo for the V12, the doors, the show, the way it makes them feel. It's not and it never was the fastest car on the road.

I once saw a Ferrari SF90 on the autobahn and that thing looked unreal fast. Glued to the street. I am still inpressed and its been a year
918 is a hero car, truly amazing. The Holy Trinity was something else in its day, I’m still hoping to see a P1 race again against these new supercars.

It’s faster than revuelto in rolling race, SF90 can barely pull away from 765LT in roll. But in this video it seems like it’s quite easy for SF90 to pull away from revuelto

You guys also have to understand that the SF90 has driven much more mileage in comparison to the Revuelto. The Lamborghini is brand new and not to mention newly launched so it still has to be driven for 2-3 thousand miles before its peak performance. The Revuelto also needs software upgrades and bug fixes from Lamborghini in order to be at its peak performance. Good luck next time Tomi I think it will win!
Look, those extra miles won't magically cut down the weight, it is what it is! The car wouldn't have left the factory if the software needs upgrading and bug fixing! The lambo has no chance against the SF90 with those official stats.

@@nimish2073lightness would affect launching. The Ferrari has a small advantage in launch but really stretched its legs from the middle of the race which is less affected by weight. Probably has better gear ratios and the turbos really help it along.

@@TheShamiester Lightness affect acceleration, in other words power to weight ratio. Launch is due to awd, tyres, modern or an effective launch control system, dual clutch transmission - which is why a 992 turbos s launches so well compared to cars like 488 or even the 720S as these are rwd cars!

That Ferrari is just impressive. Don't know why it's so disliked. It may not be best looking Ferrari but for the price you're getting a Ferrari and one of the fastest on top of that. And that 918 is still impressive too. Makes you wonder what Porsche can do with their new hypercar.

Lots of actual Ferrari owners have spoken about not liking the SF90, tons of them were bought and then almost immediately dumped on the used market. It’s got nothing to do with Lambo fans😂
