Baylor missed a lot of shots they usually make off turnovers. They could of easily won by 30 or more. Totally outclassed Gonzaga they were scared. Men amongst boys. Sports books made a killing people believed the hype.

Big 12 has Kansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma state, and Texas. Gonzaga can make a deep run but not win because they never have close games in the regular season. They play about two good teams per year.

This was up there with the championship games of 1990 (UNLV-Duke) and 2009 (UNC-Mich St) in terms of never being competitive at any point. Like those, this one was over 5 minutes into the game.

When i saw the way baylor played houston i knew great possibility they were the only team that could beat gonzaga. They have some great players, but also they are so nice and respectable. Great job Baylor!!
It wasn't goof to pick Gonzaga. Analysts don't have a crystal ball. It was a logical pick. I thought that Baylor's quickness and athleticism at guard might create serious problems. It did. Baylor was the better squad. Gonzaga will be back again. Law of averages will work. If not, it is not the end of the world. But Baylor is king of the mountain top. Amazing job by Drew to build this program. Unbelievable.

I work at Baylor and followed Bears since Drew has been here. He has always been a great recruiter bringing in several bigs expected to be first round picks. It seemed in those years our game planning was weaker because we could never quite beat a talented, disciplined team like Kansas. Other years, we had the one guard iso drive/shoot while other stood around. Worked when guard was hot but ….. Coach Drew, Tang and the rest of staff have grown and adapted their recruiting and development of players to an elite level. The game plan, teamwork and adjustment is a thing of beauty to watch on par w elite teams. His players are tight knit family due to the care the staff has for their guys. Coach Drew also emphasizes the spiritual development of players helping them understand their identity is in a God who loves them and gave them this talent rather than hinging on winning. Some might worry that reduces toughness or drive to win, but this game showed BU players were more relaxed, focused and wanting to win for their team just as much. BU had just as much pressure as Gonzaga because they should have won in 2020 and got cut short, so it was last chance for several players moving on to win it all. Credit also goes to our current AD and past AD for picking great coaches somehow bringing in great basketball and football coaches during some dark times in our athletic program.

Two best teams all season. And Baylor showed it was much better than its closest competitor. Not one and done talent either. Drew is great coach like Mark Few. Baylor will be back. Gonzaga will be back.

This National Championship reminds me of Arkansas vs. UCLA at the old Kingdome in Seattle. Arkansas was always 1 to 2 steps behind. Especially in the 2nd half.

Don't think the assistant coach that has been by coach Drews side , for years, didn't have a role in this tremendous culmination of a struggle from a catastrophe with his predecessor. Drew had enough insight to tap a young man as his assistant, that didn't even have a degree. Drew took flack for that.

99.9% of these players will never play a minute in the nba. Most aren’t elite students and would never been to college of it wasn’t for ball. For the .1% that will eventually get paid to play basketball should get paid tho I guess or at least shouldn’t be punished for taking money

I live in Washington and I can’t stand Gonzaga. They play bums all year long and their game against UCLA told me all I needed to know about their true nature. If they played in the PAC-12 they’d be in the range of 23-7 19-11 record each year. People in Washington weren’t surprised by the outcome against Baylor. Some media members said Gonzaga was the best team they’ve ever seen?? FOH!

Sorry, you could have given GU 5 days rest (or however much you think they needed) after their EPIC takedown of UCLA, and had BU playing them with 0 days rest after they beat UH. Wouldn't have mattered. BU was a better team all season long, but never got the respect they deserved. Pollsters had it backwards all year. They play 10 games, BU wins 9 (at least). When you needed an EPIC shot in an EPIC takedown of a #11 seed (in OT no less), and you all still pick GU to win it....everyone was in the tank for GU because of the "perfect season" story.
Interesting, "I don't want to hear any excuses for Gonzaga," they say; then they kind of/sort of make one for Baylor on losing twice earlier in the season because their rhythm gets broken for COVID. Look, there are many factors + variables. Baylor was/is the better team + deserved to win (they are a horrible matchup for Gonzaga, they were/are the 2 best teams/totally agree with Bilas on that). I forgive it, but give me a break. A little difference in opinions is fine; just hoping for a little more consistency. I have no problem with Reece Davis asking the ?; that's his job as the host; getting overly emotional + offended by the ? I think isn't fair or balanced personally. But I'm fine with the analysis. Truth be told .. they should have lost to UCLA
No one is talking about the 5-6 bad calls in favor of Gonzaga. I'm guessing that either the refs, or the NCAA was trying to keep the game closer. So I'm thinking point spreads, or perhaps TV ratings so people wouldn't just shut it off because one team was getting whacked for an entire game.
No excuses! Baylor beat them down. I don’t feel sorry for Gonzaga and there easy road to the final four. UCLA prior to the tourney was an afterthought and they took Gonzaga to the brink.

I think back to Wisconsin beating an undefeated Kentucky, and Duke destroyed Michigan state before going on to win the championship. Duke may have won the championship that year, but they didn’t have to beat Kentucky in the Final Four to win.
All that talk about "Is Gonzaga the best team ever?" I said it then was WAY too premature (they had to win it all 1st) and ridiculous to begin with given their league, schedule, shortened season w/ covid, huge gap in blue bloods (which is their own fault for choosing to be one-and-done schools which was exposed by the plandemic; and this is from a HUGE KentuckY fan). Given what we just witnessed, can you imagine Gonzaga '21 playing again KentuckY's '96 team? Or KY's '15 team for that matter. Both would have beat Zaga handily like Baylor did. Actually, the '96 team would have run them out of the arena, maybe the city. CONGRATULATIONS BAYLOR!! Great season. GREAT NC WIN.
