  • Baylor has a blueprint that works. They should continue to recruit the same caliber of players going forward to keep the tradition going. Football players that can play basketball.

    @bwp2bruce@bwp2bruce3 жыл бұрын
    • Their team was very unique and IMO one of a kind, so it would be very hard to have the personnel to replicate this kind of team imo. Yes, recruiting incredibly athletic, strong guys that can dominate the glass and play lock down defense is one thing, but these same guys also happen to be the best 3pt shooting team in the nation, which is almost unheard of. Their starting line up is literally 4 guards Mitchell (6'2), Butler (6'3), Teague (6'4), Vital (6'5) and then Thamba (6'10). On paper, this team should be getting bullied by most teams due to size, yet they always look like the bigger team.

    • Teague had a guiet 19pts, played hella defense on suggs, rebounded and got mad handles. Butler had 22 and did his thing. Vital was a monster and he isn't a center but played like one. Mitchell got them going and his defensive skills and handles are second to none. Tatcthoua was in beast mode. Phagler hit some crucial 3's and Mayer held his job down. Thamba made Timme and Kispert non factors. Jalen Suggs was exposed as not really NBA ready and he couldn't go one on one with either of the four guards. Couldn't rebound and his ball handling skills need work. He needs to stay in school and get more work in. The pros will annihilate him and eat him for breakfast. No one on that Zags team is NBA ready. Not one!

    • Gonzaga had 6"10, 6"7 6"6, 6"4 guys and still they looked small against Baylor. Why? They got weight roomed. Them boys put some work in and it showed. They were like thoroughbreds going against colts. They put the fear in Gonzaga in those first 4 minutes. After that it took the Zags til the 10 minute mark to figure out they were in a basketball game and not spectators. They had height but lost heart. Baylor bought the smoke and Gonzaga choked on it. Nuff said.

  • I am here to tell everyone (who already knows) Stephen A. Smith is often very wrong.

  • If Stephen A is rooting for your team in the championship game you are definitely screwed! He gets all his Finals and Super Bowl winners wrong almost every time.

  • You win easy money when you bet against Stephen A Smith. Notice every time he mention the knicks doing well they go on a losing streak but when he doesn’t talk about them at all they do well

  • SAS you were about the Steelers Beating the Browns, you said Greenbay was going to beat Tampa Bay, you said Titans was going to smash Baltimore, you picked The Chiefs over The Bucs. And now you went against Baylor! That’s 5 times you were wrong this year! So stop it!

  • So tired of Gonzaga. Overrated because of a weak conference. They get 5 star recruits every year because they know they are automatically going to the tournament because of their weak conference. Put them in a real conference and its a whole other story.

  • Of course it surprised them. Do you realise the NBA has been trending this way since around 2017-18? Starting with the Denver Nuggets(who a couple times blew out the Warriors in the regular season) Okay we don't have snipers from 3 but hey if were bigger then everybody and grab the offensive rebounds eventually it's gonna go in lol. 76ers, Bucks, Nuggets, Lakers, and Jazz all play this style.
