  • What I can’t understand is why so many analysts trying to make excuses for Gonzaga , the whole world saw Baylor beat the breaks of them . It was a beat down from the beginning give Baylor their props they was clearly the better team .

  • It was kind of ridiculous how much the CBS crew and ESPN were actively rooting for Gonzaga. I'm glad Baylor exposed them and spoiled the coronation of Gonzaga as one of the greatest college teams of all time

    • I agree even after the game they didn’t want to give Baylor their flowers. Making all kind of excuses for Gonzaga.

    • It’s a disgrace to the game, kids go to Gonezaga to hide from competition, they beat some teams in preseason when most teams are sorting out egos and structure - then they camp in a D2 conference against JV teams, then come to the tournament as the top seed with weaker competition until shit gets real in the final 4. I never had Gonezaga winning, and will always root against them because of the type of people they bring in and the disgrace to the game they project.

    • Kansas 2020 definitely wins it. That team would have been the biggest #1 seed in the last 40 years. I think Kansas and Baylor make the final four in 2020. Maybe a Florida St, and Dayton would have been the other two teams.

    • Doubt it. You sound like the now terminated Paul Pierce who predicted the Boston/Milwaukee series was over after Boston went up 1-0 in a lopsided win. The Bucks went on to win 4 straight. This year Michigan badly beat Michigan State and then lost easily to Michigan State in the rematch. Once Lew Alcindor lost to an Elvin Hayes Houston team and then blew them out by more than 30 in the Final Four Gonzaga has a match-up issue with the Baylor guard speed. Few could possibly come up with scheme to not get hurt as bad. And the three point shot comes and goes. The NBA is described as a make or miss league and the same can be said about the modern college game. It's single elimination. Baylor won. Your prediction of a sweep based on one game is as poor as Paul Pierce's analysis.

  • As a Zag alum and lifetime fan, I will remember this team as one of the best Gonzaga teams. 2017 probably the best. I always thought our bigs were too small. We got away with it because our guards were Tall and quick so they could help out on the boards and then get back. Baylor's guards shot too well to be given any room. and even then they would hit the shots. We have two 7 footers that did not play. I thought we might have used one or both for a minute or two Just to see if we could get some stops. Then Suggs went out with two fouls. Baylor played like we did all season but they were better. This was the first game that Gonzaga had to, but didn't, slow it down. I'm just going to Pretend like that last game didn't happen. It was a perfect season with classic final game. The last game was canceled due to covid.
