I’m 50 years old and spent most of my life hating Belicek. I don’t like the fact that he is somewhat likable.

As a Patriots fan since 1985, Ive seen Belichick from beginning to end. The difference between coach and person is staggering. I loved his no nonsense attitude as a coach and laughed at the complete lack of answers. But that only works when you win. He LOVES football and it shows. Players loved him too, but they had to have thick skin!
hes trying to be good at both at coach and sport media.. coach you keep info back and sport media you act more friendly esp to the commisioner so i think hes just trying to be skilled at job as he tried with coaching

Anyone else notice that Roger has gotten; for a lack of a better term “wayyyy cooler”. He use to seem more rigid but now I wouldn’t mind having a beer with him. It’s also nice seeing Bill not be a robot, he’s actually pretty animated when he wants to be.
Those that personally know him say Belicheck has a great sense of humor and is personable (they've disclosed that for years) Fans only see his sideline/press conference demeanor and conclude he's "icy".

As a Pats fan, I like this side of Bill in the media. However, not being able to compete for the win record has to be eating away at him...
The NFL doesn’t like him, he beat the system for too long. He should be coaching another team at the very least. He’s been blackballed essentially. Sad really, you’d think they’d embrace a talent like Bill.

You gonna trust a 74 year old man who hasn't drafted well in a decade to take over and build a team? How many coaches in their 70s have won a playoff game, or had a record over .500? Belichik has a great mind, but hard for a guy his age to relate to the younger guys, you just don't see it in the NFL, could he coach dallas for a year? I guess, but are you gonna give him a franchise to build?

As a lifelong patriots fan and an NFL fan in general, I cannot wait for two things: Monday mornings with Bill Belichick on the Pat McAfee show that seem to be coming together as a thing and I can’t wait for Tom Brady to be the lead color commentator on the NFL game of the week, including Super Bowl coming up

All the tension and beef created by media over the years, one would think these two *hated each other* But thats not at all the case.
The Bill Belichick Resurrection Tour is in full swing. Being a Pats fan my whole life, I knew that Belichick had a great personality from seeing him do things other than interviews about his team, like the NFL 100 show he did with Rich Eisen. So glad everyone's finally getting to see how good he is at talking about football, and the knowledge he brings is unmatched. He's going to be really entertaining on McAfee's Show on Mondays, and then we get even more Belichick because he'll be a permanent cohost of the ManningCast for Monday Night Football.

Having the officials more involved in replays will make games longer. But some calls do need to be rediscussed in certain situations
Too much background noise in the audio come on guys. Evolve already.
Please ditch the chains determining first down. Put a tracking chip in every ball and embrace that technology instead of relying on humans to place the ball. There were several times last season where there was clearly bad placements. It was obvious to everyone watching at home. Hire full time refs and embrace technology over human judgment in terms of placing the ball.

I don’t think Bill likes those changes one bit, he is lying through his teeth. Hip drop tackle rule, I don’t see how you are suppose to bring those players down if you can’t put your weight down on them you don’t always have a running start to tackle someone so I don’t see how it will work

Interesting how Goodell just laughs off Belichick's "annual pitch" about having cameras on the goal line, side line, end line. Goodell knows those cameras can never be added. To add them is to eliminate some of the subtle but vital methods refs use to tip games in favor of what Vegas wants.
Bill is straight up lying about liking the hip drop tackle rule. He's been critical of a lot of these rules in the past.

Collecting 25 million from someone you hate and not working for anymore has suited Belichick very very well. Looks and sounds great.
my question is why change the rules (to make the game safer) if all the fans want the game to be played like it was in the 80s and 90s with hard hitting football? Like if everything is for the fans why not give us what we want to watch?? What happened to the next man up? Here is an example.. Back when Tom Brady started to play, We would of never saw him hit the field if it wasn't for the others getting hurt, and hes now the goat of QBs lol.. I think the money is the only reason yall are making all these rules to save players...

I always knew Bill was a cool dude. He just took his job and winning so seriously that he always came off mean-spirited to the media. But in reality he's a pretty cool guy. His coaching methods are probably outdated at this point but there's no denying he's the most successful coach the league has ever seen. I really wanted my Niners to hire him after that SB collapse. I think Atlanta made a mistake not signing him, going with a re-tread coach with a losing record instead. If Bill finds his way on an average, underachieving team with some talent in the right spots...watch out.

Hey, that's way out of line. Technically Rodger didn't exactly cheat and even if he did then under the CBA (according to the courts) he has the right to do so anyways.
