  • The Range Rover sport was stupendous, it had nothing off road related, not even terrain control, only relied on it's traction control and was amazing still!

    • @@janludwikkotowski I did too appreciate the cherokee's behavior but I don't think it's traction control is as developed as land rover's. LR are so proud and sure of their traction control system they are taking away differentials from their cars, that's something jeep isn't really doing.

      @tattttu9@tattttu92 жыл бұрын
    • @@tattttu9 certainly Jeep's development in SRT/Trackhawk is not designed to deal with terrain at all but TrailHawk would be definitely in top 3 in this comparison. The only problem is that Jeep never paired it with powerful engine. Nor petrol nor diesel. A pity as G AMG would finally have serious competitor. Btw. I suggest you watch some Russians driving G AMG on proper tires in kinda swamp. This car just flies offroad. I guess it's something even top speced new Defender couldn't do.

    • @@janludwikkotowski the grand Cherokee trailhawk is as off road capable as that new offloadish Tahoe version. Just a 4x4 body that isn't intended to go offroad. As the comment referring to a stock 4x4 going deep into Russian roads, there is one channel taking one defender into mud pits with road tires, did pretty well, more than most 4x4 would do in not appropriate tires.

    • @@tattttu9 yeah true it's just a pity there is no TrailHawk SRT for example or TrailHawk with truly strong diesel like 4-500hp 1000Nm I don't deny new Defender or even regular Land Rovers off road capabilities. I just think Jeep and G class are more sturdy.

  • Great video, really helps us understand how each of the systems work. I have a new defender, and it works as advertised. Having owned a rig with tripled locked diffs, the defender is even better 95% of the time. Ever tried to turn left through an intersection with the front locked? Have fun with that, but my defender does it with no problems. It has all the advantages of being triple locked but drives like an open diff rig. It’s truly amazing. I would say only one thing, next time, leave the defender in its standard height mode for this test.
